Saga Reunited: Anakin?s Journey in the Afterlife *Complete*

This is one of the most beautifully written stories ever. I almost cry when I read what Anakin says about loving Padme and how he is not with her. I'm completely in love with it. Please post the next chapter soon. I'M LOVIN IT!!!

Chapter 4: Luke and Leia

Anakin?s only consolation to his isolation were the visits that he would get from one of his Jedi Masters, or he would visit his son and daughter in the Living Realm. Luke was always excited to see him, but Leia took a while to warm up to him.

He remembered the first time he was able to speak to Luke. He traveled the long dark portal to Luke, who was doing lightsaber drills in a field. Anakin was so proud of his son?s skills.

?My son??

?Father? Is that you?? Luke asked, stopping his practice.

?Yes, Luke.?

?I didn?t think that you would come see me again after your funeral,? Luke said.

?Now, why wouldn?t I? There is so much I want to tell you, so many things that I need to clear for you. I cannot rest until I have earned your love, and your sister?s forgiveness.?

?Well, Father, you have my love. It doesn?t matter why you turned to the Dark Side, what?s important is that you found your way back again. As for Leia, well I?ve told her about the good that was still in you. She knows that you saved me from Empeoror Palpatine, and she is thankful for that.?

Anakin asked him, ?Yes, but has she forgiven me? I tortured her, I destroyed her home planet, and I killed the only parents she ever knew??

Luke told him, ?Why don?t you apologize to her yourself? I?ll at least get her to listen.?

Luke brought Anakin to Leia?s home. She wasn?t able to see Anakin at all. ?Luke! I?m so glad to see you, but I didn?t expect you until next week.?

?Hi sis,? Luke said as he planted a kiss on her cheek. ?I?ve got a surprise for you!?

?Oh! I love surprises! What is it?? Leia asked.

Luke told her, ?Well, to see it, you have to close your eyes, and try to clear your mind.?

?Okay, here goes?? Leia closed her eyes. She tried to forget all the meetings and conferences that she had to attend to. She closed her mind to things that were burdening her, and was finally able to achieve a quiet meditation. She took a few moments and then opened her eyes again.

There before her was a flickering blue light. She blinked. She was scared, but Luke was there, and she knew she was safe.

Anakin appeared before her, and sheeplishly said, ?Hello, Leia.?

Leia didn?t recognize this young handsome ghost who was standing before her. She thought that he looked strangely familiar. ?Who are you?? she asked.

?My name is Anakin Skywalker. I am your father. Leia, I?ve come to apologize to you, to let you know how sorry I am for all my actions. I know that you can?t forgive me today, but I hope that you eventually will be able to.?

Leia told him, ?I have nothing to say to you. Please leave.?

?Leia, I am truly sorry. When I look at you, I see your Mother in your eyes, and it pains me the way that you look at me.?

?My Mother?? Leia asked incredulously. She couldn?t believe he had the nerve to bring her Mother into the conversation. ?Were you the reason she was so sad? Did you love her? Or was she just a pawn in your quest to gain power??

?I loved her with all my heart, Leia. She was headstrong and independent, just like you. I loved her since I was ten years old. But, alas, our love was forbidden. We tried to fight it, but one cannot control matters of the heart. We secretly married on Naboo. You can not imagine the joy I felt when I found out that she was pregnant. I didn?t know that it would be twins, but I was very excited to start a family with her. I fell to the darkside because I thought she was going to die during childbirth. I traded my soul to try to save your mother?s life. In the end, it was my trade that killed her. She could not follow the path that I was leading her down. With her death, I had nothing to live for but power and greed. I didn?t know that you and Luke were even born. I thought that the baby died with her.? Anakin became teary-eyed as he told her this sto

 

I'm glad he is keeping in touch with Luke and apologized to Leia, and it's really cool that he gets to talk about Padme, and you know Luke and Leia want to listen, and I bet he just loves rambling on about her.

I hope he finds her soon! Really soon! We need some ghostly lovin' going on!

Great work with this, I love the entire concept. It's light hearted, but also heavy hearted in a way. Don't know if that makes any sense. Anyway, keep up the good work.

AWWWWWWW! That was sooooo sweet. The whole family is almost together. Are Luke and Leia going to meet Padme? It would be cool if they did. Anyway great job and can't wait for the next chapter.

i feel so sad for anakin---he can't find padmae? is that his eternal punishment? to forever wander but never being reuinted with his soulmate?

i'm glad that leia has forgiven him----seriously, my reasons are

1---he thought his offspring died along padmae

2-it was vader who was evil-not anakin...i've always thought of them being two people instead of one

great update.leia forgave him !! ,i always had the doubt if leia would ever forgive him but she did and realised that he wasnt always a monster.thanks for the PM.

 

It's so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time I mean Leia was able to forgive him...yay! And he gets to see his children and tell them about their mum...again yay! But he isn't able to find his one true love to spend eternity with her..*begins to sob uncontrollably*

This was good but I personally don't see Leia forgiving Anakin all that fast it would take a long long time before I would have seen her forgive him. Luke was more connected to Anakin being a Jedi so he was able to sense his conflict more so then Leia could have. But I do hope that Anakin will keep searching for Padme and teacher her what Ob1 wanted her to learn. Personally after seeing Sith the one scene at the window I truly believe she had some force potential. Keep up the good work.

 

This is a wonderful story! I know by the way you've written this that when Anakin meets Padme it will be a real tear-gerker! I can't wait! Could you add me to your PM list too?

Darkside:Family is very important to Anakin, and it was necessary for him to tell his children about their Mother. It was a way of keeping her alive to him.

It's light hearted, but also heavy hearted in a way.

Thanks for your comment. I wanted to make this story sweet, but Anakin has a lot of skeletons in his closets, and he has to also deal with his emotional psyche in the afterlife!

Starshine:Thank you. Leia is very torn where her Father is concerned. She hates him for all of his actions, but after all, she is obligated to love him because he was her Father, and both she and Luke were conceived in the name of Love. Because it was Anakin an not Darth Vader who came to her to ask for her forgiveness, it was easier for her to do so.

As for Luke and Leia meeting Padme...I'm still deciding...

Venus Star2:It is sad for Anakin to not be able to find his soulmate yet. He has to work out his issues and learn to forgive himself first before he can find her.

I agree with you. I always thought Vader and Anakin were two people too. I thought Anakin represented love/courage/light and Vader represented hate/greed/darkness. Two sides of the same coin. I guess my character is trying to grasp what his alter ego has done and accept that he is one and the same.

Chapter 5: Padme?s Journey

The events that led up to Padme?s meeting with Anakin on Mustafar reeled in her mind. She had just given birth to two beautiful babies, yet the darkness in her heart was too overwhelming for her to feel any joy. She felt love for her twins, but she felt so lost, her heart aching with so much pain that she no longer had Anakin or his love. She felt her body burning, she felt the flesh coming off her skin, and she was in excruciating pain. To the medical droids, she was physically fine, but Padme knew better. She knew that her Anakin was hurt and dying at this moment. With him near the brink of death, she felt every physical pain and emotional turmoil that he was going through. Even through all the darkness, she also sensed a small glimmer of love left in his heart.

She whispered to the man standing next to her, ?Obi-Wan...there...is good in him. I know there is...still.? She could sense it.

She felt him calling out for her like a drowning man, to save him. She sensed that he was fading. She couldn?t let him die. She loved him too much. She reached out to him. She gave him her love, her life Force, and she felt him pulling on it, trying to hang on. She felt drained. Her heart was too heavy to hold on to her own life, even though she tried to, for the sake of her children. His pull on her was too strong. She succumbed, and gave whatever that was left of her life to him.

Padme?s tortured soul escaped from her body, and it rose higher and higher. She could see her children, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Bail below her. Her heart felt heavy that she could not be with her children, but she knew that they would be in good hands. As she drifted higher, the events of the world didn?t seem to matter to her as much. She heard musical humming surrounding her, and it soothed her pain immensely.

She drifted higher into the sky, and saw three dark portals. There were different lights coming through the end of each portal. The first portal had a bright white light on the other side. The soothing humming sounded loudest in this portal, and she sensed that there was peace and tranquility at the end of the white portal. She also glimpsed beautiful planetary moons on the other side of this portal.

The second portal had a blue light coming from it. There were no music and no humming coming from this portal. She sensed that knowledge and truth was to be gained at the end of this portal, but she sensed loneliness in it also.

The last portal she saw glowed ominously red, and she sensed despair, hatred, and darkness coming from it. As she drifted, she saw formless souls being sucked into the red portal against their will, and she knew that that was one place she didn?t want to be.

Somehow, the portal with the white light seemed to beckon to her with its soothing humming and tranquility. She felt peace there. The portal with the blue light felt so sterile to her, and when she passed by, there seemed to be an invisible blockade that prevented her from going in, even if she wanted to.

She made her way to the portal with the white light, and entered the dark passageway. She felt the warm darkness of the passageway enveloping her. As she floated through, she felt complete inner peace. She thought of Anakin and the children, but it was hard for her to keep her thoughts. As she reached the end of the portal, she saw a million lights circling around four dozen silver moons. She was in complete awe at the beauty that she saw. She felt a warmth in her center, and she saw a bright light shining out from her inner core, piercing through her soul. She felt a set of wings sprout from her back. She felt utter and complete peace, and soon her thoughts were drowned out by the humming. She no longer had a sense of self. She no longer remembered Anakin, and she no longer remembered her ch

I really like the three portals detail. I think I've heard a legend like that somewhere before. Anyway, it's beautiful touch.

She gave up her life so Anakin could live on. Even after he tried to choke her, she saved him? Darn, she really loved that man.
