Revan's secret identity?

Okay, I know this sounds far-fetched and I admit I don't know the KOTOR story inside and out like some people do. However, I have always had a nagging feeling that Zayne Carrick may be Revan. What do you think? I know there have been hints that someone else is, but the writers could be misleading us. I think he will eventually become a known character. Perhaps one of the Sith in KOTOR II? He's got to have some important role to play.

 

Remember the game. Revs was a nova in the Force, Kreia's words. The game before, he's talked about as a strategic genius. Is teenage Carrick that?

I personally think the more they're trying to make someone distinctive to the role, the more chance it'll be someone in the quiet lines.

And as I've said before, damn it -- people are just expecting these comic names will become game names. I've not seen a single statement from the artists supporting this in a year and a half. Someone show me a line that says otherwise, please!

 

Mmmm, I do recall an early interview with the writer in which he stated that some of the game characters would appear, and some might under a different alias.

And come on, Alek and the Revanchist... if these two don't turn out to become two well-known Sith Lords, it'll be a very weird red herring.


Zayne, however, can remain his own character, if you ask me.

 

The artistry team is too sharp, too creative, and foregrounding the obvious has me wondering perhaps it's who's in the background I should be opticalling. Anyway, I just ordered Flashpoint. Once I see all the key players, I'll see what I can decipher.

 

Zayne will not be Revan.

I would not be surprised if he ended up having some sort of relation to Revan, however. (That's not to say I'm expecting that to happen, or I want it to happen... I just wouldn't be surprised).

Zayne has a far greater chance of being Nihilus. Or just being himself.

Yep, the Revanchist leader. The KOTOR Handbook pretty much makes that a given, same with Alek/Malak.

Expect "Darth Revan" and "Darth Malak" to be names adopted upon becoming Sith, and not their real names plus "darth."

Oh great. It's happening again.

They are taking what I love and twisting the whole story around. They did it with YJK, now they're doing it with KOTOR.

Sometimes I really don't know why I bother anymore.

The Jedi never said that Revan and Malak were their real names, that was just an assumption.

You know, kinda like how everyone assumed that there had been "a young Jedi named Darth Vader".

 

It's also entirely likely that The Revanchist, at the least, will adopt the name Revan prior to becoming a Sith.

And, since "Malak" could mean anything IU, there are plenty of reasons that could be thought up for Alek to do the same.

 

Although I'm still in favor of having Alek Squinquarguesimus and Evan the Revanchist become Darths Malak and Revan, Lords of the Sith.

 

Alek should have chosen Darth Squinquarguesimus. He could easily kill his enemies as they were trying to say his name


I'm hoping that Zayne is just Zayne.

Also, another reason he can't be Revan is that it'd be really weird if neither Carth, nor Mission, nor any of the Hidden Beks recognised him in KOTOR I.
