    From StarWars.com:

Reversal of Fortune tells an original story set at the end of the Clone Wars, beginning only days before the events of Episode III and continues along with the on-screen saga. The Jedi Council believes it can end the war by removing the Separatist leadership. It sends a trio of women -- Barriss Offee, Aayla Secura and Stass Allie -- to capture Commerce Guild President Shu Mai. But the CIS military leader, General Grievous, remains one step ahead and has ambitious plans of his own. The series is written by Paul Ens, and illustrated by Thomas Hodges.

Does this hint that Aayla Secura, Stass Allie, and Barriss Offee will be after Shu Mai on another planet in ROTS? The Mustafar Conference Room Scene(s) does not have all of the Separatists present, so maybe Shu Mai is on another world, I believe that starts with an "F". I know Aayla and Stass have filmed scenes but it was never confirmed whether or not Barriss did. But it says it will continue along with the on-screen saga. Interesting.

This is going to be a very interesting storyline. It occurs days before Episode III and deals with the leadup to everything that happens in ROTS.

Reversal of Fortune sounds interesting. I wonder what exactly General Grievous will be up to? Maybe he'll kill Stass Allie so they can start building up his reputation as a Jedi killer.

So this is a comic strip to appear on the Official Site? Sounds good.

    Nute Gunray gets the films.
    Wat Tambor gets the novels.
    Shu Mai gets the comics.
    San Hill gets the cartoons.
Passel Argente gets the cutting room floor.

    Sounds about right. :(

whoops, didnt mean to step on your thread...

But, i hope we get to see the scheming of Palpatine and Dooku. Maybe how the came up with the kidnapping. Maybe more Death Star/ Star Destroyer updates. And of course, more of the decline of Anakin.

But, it sounds like a lot of Aayala and other 3rd rate jedi adventures...

It doesn't just deal with Aayla, Stass and Barriss, though they are the focus... there is more... A LOT more.

I'm interested to see what they've got for us. Though we'll have to bear in mind that it's EU, no matter how well-informed of ROTS.

Interesting too that Pablo is doing a strip. I didn't know he was an artist.

Well, it is EU but the ROTS-lead-up EU is like none we have seen before in the Star Wars universe. LFL is making an effort to tie these stories to the movies as a way to bridge the gap between 2 and 3 (after all, it is more fun for the fans and keeps interest in the movies going).

So to discount this as just being EU would be missing the point by a few miles. I believe that this web strip will be as important to the story leading up to ROTS as Clone Wars season 3, the Dark Horse comics, and the opening crawl of Episode III.

We will be receiving daily clues into the world of ROTS. Think about it... the announcement says DAYS before Episode III. How many? It can't be too many. Five? Ten? Maybe not even that long or they would have said weeks.

This sounds great. The whole clone wars campaign has been a huge success and really helps keep the fires kindled between movies. So is this where we'll see the capture of the Chancellor?

We will be receiving daily clues into the world of ROTS.

Not to spoil the fun, but this is what I think we should avoid - thinking that it's a daily source of "clues." Rather it will offer potentially corroborating evidence for other inside info (much like the Dark Horse cover and Mace's "posse"). If we read too much into it, it'll also serve as a daily source of red herrings.

Either way, though, it has the potential to be quite cool.

Stass Allie won't die in it because she's on the Council in ROTS.
Which may mean that both General Grievous and Stass Allie leave whatever planet they are on in the comic, setting things up for the movie. Aayla may stay behind, or go to another planet which we see in ROTS.
Maybe Barris bites it, since she doesn't seem to have filmed her ROTS scenes.

By the way, is Barris a Jedi Knight now?

If this story takes place (a) day(s) before episode III, it could end with General Grievous capturing Palpatine. This would lead us directly to the epic space battle at the beginning of Episode III.

Is it sad that this is the first thing that I thought of when I read the title for this thread. I thought people were talking about puke in ROTS. [face_sick]

Grievous sure is getting a huge build-up in the EU!

I wonder if Bariss gets killed here? Because, so far, there's no evidence of filming. And isn't Stass back in the Temple for RotJ? So, will this end up with Aayla staying on the alien planet and the other two dead or coming back? Also, if Aayla is around, hopefully, her Clone Commander Bly will be too! :D

The Palpatine kidnapping will be depicted at least in the novel Labyrinth of Evil, which has been confirmed by LFL to segue directly into (and overlap with) the first minutes of the film, but this strip might also cover similar ground, from a completely different perspective. It's been hinted that the next animated episodes could further expound upon this.

As for Bariss, her death *might* occur in this story, although it's not certain. She might very well survive for several years into the purge, while her master perishes, or about any other scenario one could think up. Further info on that will be forthcoming, without a doubt.

As far as we know, Nalini Krishan (Barriss Offee) did not film any scenes for ROTS, despite being fitted with her costume and having a makeup test done. That sucks for her, she was so excited about getting to return. Maybe this is because she will die in the story, or maybe she will be used from stock footage of her fighting in the Geonosian Arena.

*Yo, isn't Shu Mai a Chinese beef dish?

    Something like that.

This will be a very interesting strip to follow as it will eventually lead to EPIII or will it lead up to the next Clone Wars cartoon?
I guess I'm wondering if the storylines will be consolidated as we approach the Movie.

Poor Barris. So I take it Luminara is also dead before ROTS begins.

I really hoped Luminara would make it to the Council, rather than that Adi Gallia rip-off Stass Allie.

Yeah, I was kinda hoping that while they were in the UK they would bring back some of the Jedi Council extras from TPM, like Adi Gallia and Even Piell, and kill them off in the opening space battle. I like Stass Allie okay, but would prefer Adi over her any day.

I think they shouldn't have bothered changing Adi to Stass in the first place.
They were meant to be the same character, but the new Adi actress looked nothing like Gin (Adi in TPM), so they changed her name. How annoying. Visual continuity for a character that never gets a close-up?? I doubt audiences cared that it was a different character, or even noticed her in the first place.

Having Adi Gallia die in her starfighter at the beginning would have been cool.

I want to answer these questions but I can't. LOL I wish I could.

I can tell you that the story is coordinated with the timeline and that's about all I can say. It starts a few days before the events of RotS, as it was stated in the story at the OS. I'd love to say more, but that would just ruin it.
