    Title: Revolution
    Author(s): Yodakenobi
    Timeframe: NJO; Force Heretic
Characters: Anakin Solo, Kyp Durron, Alema Tesar
    Genre: Adventure, mystery
    Keywords:
Summary: That would kind of ruin it, don't you think?
Notes: The first of three stories.

This is my first fan-fiction, and it started out as an argument for Anakin Solo's return. It takes place during the latter portion of the Force Heretic books, and my goal was to come up with a completely plausable return for Anakin, without contradicting NJO continuity (at least until TFP comes out ;) ).

It became a much bigger story and will span about 26 chapter (barring any sudden changes).
It was over 200 hundred hand written pages when I was writing it to warn you of the length (I haven't read much fan-fic, so I don't know how long they normally are). The story is completed, but I have yet to type it up on my PC, so that is the only thing, anyone who wants to read it, has to wait for. I promise I'm not going to start posting it, and never finish it.

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated :)

Thanks for stoping by, and now.....

    Chapter 1

Yuusung Saa's eyes snapped open. The shaper’s lab was no longer empty. A single intendant was sorting vaa kroz lungs a few meters in front of him.

The lungs were frequently used as bait to catch raa'togs, but only if they were the proper length. The winged creatures would swoop down and eat the lungs, which would intern, inflate with the oxygen and other gases inside the raa'togs. This would effectively strangle the creature making it the prey for the hunter who laid down the vaa kroz lung.

Yuusung Saa rubbed the sleep from his eyes trying to remember how long he had been here. A day? A week? A year? Two? No, a lifetime. He searched his memory. He could never remember not being here...Where?

The answer came to him. D'Ysuu. The small, nearly self-sufficient commune...He had always been here.

He stood up and stepped out of the shaper's observation sac. Tentacles released from his pours and retracted into the ceiling. He had not fallen asleep in here; the shapers had put him here again. They were always testing him. They would never, truly, trust him. How could they?

Yuusung Saa stepped over to a large vat of what looked like blood as his grogginess began to wash away. Swirls and speckles of yellow mucus floated in the crimson. The bioluminescent lichen on the wall cast a dull green glow over everything within the lab.

He peered into the vat and was repulsed by what he saw. What the infidels had done to him.

He stared a long time at a reflection of his horrid visage in the vat. This was not a proper face of a Yuuzhan Vong warrior. A warrior he knew he was. His hair was thick and tousled; cut short, the way the infidel had worn it. What was his name? His forehead was almost vertical from his brow, not sloped, as it should be. His skin was smooth and unscarred, with no tattooes. Yuusung Saa desperately wanted to run his nails across it, to tear the flesh from his cheeks. To split his lips and rake his forehead. Most of all, he wanted to slice his disgusting nose. It was too big, too fleshy. He wanted to tear it down to the holes in his head. The way it should be. What he wouldn't give to do this, but they wouldn't let him. They didn't trust him.

His face was far too symmetrical to be attractive. He considered grabbing on of the shaper's tools that were strewn about and gouging out his blue eyes. At least then, he wouldn't have to see this.... But that would only prove them right.

The infidels had done this to him. They had captured him and shaped him. They had used him for his special abilities. The infidel.... What was his name?

A movement to his left quickly caught Yuusung Saa's eye. He stepped away from the vat and spotted the source of the movement. Two reptilian creatures clung to the far wall of the lab. They had large claws and long tails for their relatively small frames. Yuusung Saa didn't know what they were called, but he knew they were littered all over D'Ysuu. He wasn't sure why or how he knew it, but they made him tired and lethargic all the time.

Yuusung Saa moved away from them and went to the far right wall. The sphincter on the wall irised open and he stepped through. He kicked another lizard creature out of his way as he walked down the small corridor.

The walls inside the shaper's damutek were thick membranes that almost appeared to be transparent, but were made of several shades of green.

When he reached the end of his route another sphincter opened, putting him in one of the main corridors. Two warriors crossed their right fists to the opposite breast in a display of respect as he passed them. But, in their eyes there was something else. Suspicion. No one here trusted him. They believed him tainted by the infidels. Yuusung Saa had no doubt, had it not been for his "special abilities", as the shapers called it, he would have been executed.

He would have embraced it. He longed for death.

The infidels known as the Jedi had kidnapped him when he was very young from a worldship. They had sought to exploit him and his "powers". They had implanted false memories and shaped him to look like them. Yuusung Saa hated the Jedi. He had been promised he would get his chance for revenge, and when he did, He would destroy them. All of them.

He didn't acknowledge the warriors. In the Yuuzhan Vong hierarchy, they were beneath him.... Or at least they should have been.

The warriors carried Amphistaffs and wore full vonduun crab armor. Both were trademarks of true warriors. Yuusung Saa had not been allowed either. The shaper's said he did not need them, so he wore only a simple living poncho and carried a small coufee.

He did not understand why he would not need them. He was a warrior after all, it was a matter of honor. Perhaps he didn't need them because of his "special abilities". Yuusung Saa didn't know how to use his "powers", didn't even know what they were. He did not understand them, and sometimes, thought the shapers didn't either. Could they be wrong? No, there was something there. An outline he could not fill in. The infidel had known... What was his name?

He shouldn't think of such things. He wouldn't.

He reached the end of the main corridor and a very large sphincter irised open letting sunlight spill into the corridor. D'Ysuu was beautiful, especially during the day. Perhaps their would be work for him today; true warriors work, not the type of daily dribble that the intendants were made to do. The type Yuusung Saa was made to do.

No, today would be now different. They didn't trust him. He would never get a chance to prove himself to the gods. The infidels had tainted him forever, and made him one of them. What was his name? The one he had been? The infidel?

"Ahhhhnnn..." He couldn't think of it.

As he stepped out of the shaper's damutek and into the sunlight it hit him.

    "Anakin Solo."

    Chapter 2

Kyp Durron's eyes snapped opened. He had been in a deep meditation for several hours and felt both rested and at peace. A younger Kyp would never have wasted the middle of the day on such a thing, but now he was wiser, and knew the importance of introspection.

He rose gracefully from his cross-legged position on the floor without using his hands to face a transpersteel window that revealed the beauty of the seas that made up Mon Calamari. Dozens of submersibles shot past his window in different water lanes, and the many sea creatures and distant coral made for a great view.

Kyp's living quarters on Mon Calamari were virtually empty. He didn't want it to feel like his permanent home, knowing that at any time he would have to leave forever amd was surprised how long he had lived here already.

It was only a matter of time before the fighting started again, and he would get his "Dozen" together and fly down the Yuuzhan Vong's throat.

Sensing that he would be leaving his quarters, Kyp reached to his left and pulled his black Jedi cloak of the back of a chair. He put it on and checked to see that his lightsaber was fastened securely to his left hip. Then walked to the door and pressed the operating controls, opening it.

As it rose he saw his visitor moving towards him at a steady pace. The Mon Calamari female was only slightly startled by the Jedi master's premonition that she was coming.

"Master Durron", she said with a nod of respect. "You are wanted in the upper levels."

Kyp scratched his chin as his green eyes ran over his visitor. She wore the blue uniform of a Mon Calamari spaceport Communications Officer. Bulbous, watery eyes and light brown skin blotted with black were attached to her larger-than-human head. But, Kyp barley made note of these things. He was searching her with the force.

Kyp had spent a lot of time in the military spaceports on Mon Cal, running drills with his X-Wing squadron, "Kyp's Dozen." He did not recognize the officer, but he also sensed no deception from her.

"What's going on?" Kyp asked in a calm tone.

"I, uhhh." She paused, and Kyp sensed the officers growing embarrassment at being sent here to retrieve him with little information. "I'm not really sure, Master Durron."

Kyp did not pry at her with the force, but instead, radiated his own calm demeanor, waiting for the officer to provide more information.

"I only know that an unidentified ship jumped in system, and sent a transmission here within the last hour."

Kyp's mind raced to the worst possible conclusion, slowly destroying any facade of calmness.

"Unidentified? A Yuuzhan Vong Ship?" Kyp asked. Though he didn't think it likely. If it had been a Yuuzhan Vong Craft the security alarms would be blasting right now.

"I do not know. I don't believe so," The officer looked as though she was going to say more, the stopped.

"Why do you suppose, you were sent here to get me?" As Kyp asked the question he wondered if he shouldn't just give up and follow her. Pressing here for information seemed to be going nowhere, but he was trying not to be as headstrong as he once was. He was trying not to rush into uncertain situations.

"I am not sure, Master Durron, but I do know a few other Jedi are receiving similar requests, including Master Clighal." The officer looked as though she was beginning to get irritated.

Realizing that this was a Jedi matter and not one specific to him, he motioned to the officer to lead the way while stepping out of his apartment. The door slid behind him and the pair set off for the turbolift at a brisk pace. Kyp wondered if she was trying to make up for the time he wasted.

When the emerged from the turbolift Kyp and the Communications Officer, who's name was Sahrul, headed to what had been converted in the Galactic Federations main military hanger. The hanger was loaded with starfighters; Mostly X-wings, and B-Wings, but there were a few old A-wings and Y-wings along with some blast boats and gunships.

The hanger was not in chaos, but there was definitely increased traffic from normal drilling activities. Kyp felt a sense of anxiety emanating from the pilots and technicians hard at work on various tasks. He had to admit that his curiosity had piqued and he had no idea what was going on. Sahrul led him through the hanger to another turbolift. When the lift opened the pair stepped out of the lift, and into the communications center.

The room was smaller than most military comm centers Kyp had seen, but still much bigger than most in private sectors. Dozens of officers dressed in the same uniforms as Sahrul were feverishly working at their consoles. In the center of the room though, Kyp was quickly aware of Clighal's presence.

She was standing next to Corran Horn, who had been recently placed on the Jedi Council as Luke Skywalker's alternate. Skywalker had left with his wife mara, Nephew Jacen, and a few other Jedi on a mission to locate the legendary planet Zanoma Sekot.

Facing the pair of Jedi, was Dif Scaur, the Galactic Federation's Intelligence Director and not the biggest fan of Kyp. Kyp thought he recognized both Admiral Ackbar, who had recently become a powerful asset once again as a battle tactician, and Supreme Commander Sien Sovv on holocomms nearby. The pair must be taking part in the discussion from elsewhere. Ackbar was probably secluded in his apartment due to his failing health and the Sullustan Sovv, was most likely on the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer Gaurdian.

As Kyp approached the group he heard the turbolift he had exited open again. He turned to see the Twi'Lek Jedi Knight, Alema Rar, step out. Why Alema would be at, what looked like, a meeting of Jedi leadership was beyond him. At least he wasn't the last one to arrive.

Before Kyp could finish that thought, Corran Horn interrupted it.

"Kyp; Alema; Come and join us,"

Kyp stepped into the group followed closely by the blue skinned Jedi.

"What's the big emergency," Alema asked. Her Lekku were twitching displaying her obvious irritation at being interrupted from whatever she had been doing.

It was Dif Scaur who answered her question. "A ship has entered this system."

Kyp Smiled. "You're kidding. I'll comm the HoloNets and..." He broke off when he realized his sarcasm was not being well received. "My apologies go on."

Dif Scaur glowered. "As I was explaining to your colleagues, Master Durron, the ship is an old Imperial Tie Bomber. After scanning, it appears that most of its systems are dead, including the hyperdrive it's been outfitted with. The jump into this system must have blown it."

Kyp was still trying to figure out why this was a concern of his or any of the Jedi. A simple mechanical failure on an old Tie Bomber was an easy enough fix. Though it was an odd craft...

Alema Rar asked the question that was burning in his mind.

"Have you received a transmission from the pilot of the bomber?"

"Yes," said the holo of Sien Sovv. "The pilot claims to be a Jedi Knight name Wrev Caster."

Kyp's jaw dropped in astonishment. He felt his wave of surprise amplified by his Jedi counterparts.

Kyp had only met Wrev Caster on a few occasions, the last being the Battle of Ithor. He was a headstrong Jedi who had been close with Jedi of his age, like Ganner Rhysode, Wurth Skidder, and Daeshara'cor. Kyp remembered that he was a friend to his late apprentice Miko Reglia.

Wrev was strong in the force, not as strong as Kyp or the Solo's, but he was known among the Jedi for his abilities with a lightsaber. This wasn't a surprise considering he trained with Ganner's Class at the Academy. That generation spent a lot of time training with lightsabers; living out Old Republic fantasies, no doubt. Kyp thought it was more flash than actual substance, but he had never had the pleasure of seeing Wrev fight.

The Jedi Knight had disappeared over two years ago around the fall of Duro. He was last reported to be helping Twi'Leks escape from Ryloth. It was assumed that he had died long ago.

Wrev had been linked to several resistance movements, like the one Alema Rar and her late sister Numa had set up on New Plympto. Kyp had heard that Wrev had assisted the Rar sisters in their movement, and when he looked at Alema he realized it must be true because her sense of surprise had changed to joyous-relief. She had a small restrained, smirk on her face, and Kyp wasn't sure what that meant...

"Wrev Caster?" Corran asked. "That is not what I expected to hear today."

A smile began to form under Corran's beard as well. Kyp had learned that little victories like these were morale boosts that kept hope alive in times of war. The Jedi had lost many of their small clan; it was always great to learn that one had survived. He remembered a similar feeling when Jacen Solo had returned from Vong captivity after it was thought he'd been killed.

"It is indeed a surprise," Sovv said, again breaking Kyp's train of thought. “That is why you have been asked to come here. It is very hard to believe."

“I don’t understand,” Kyp replied, hoping it would push the Sullustan Commander to get to the point.

"That is not a surprise," Def Scaur interjected rudely," You Jedi are here, to verify that it is indeed Wrev Caster before we bring him down to the surface. Use your Jedi talents, Master Durron."

Kyp refused to acknowledge the Intelligence Director's comments and looked to his fellow Jedi for support. It was Ackbar's holo that broke the silence.

"You must substantiate that claim. We can not afford to bring a ship in if it could be a trap or weapon," He paused for a moment to catch his breath. "Even if it is Wrev Caster, you must make sure we can trust him. He was lost behind enemy lines a long time ago. If there is any chance he has been tainted and could betray us, we must not risk it."

Kyp first thought this to be idiotic. Wrev was notorious for getting in over his head, but he was devoted to the Jedi Order and would never betray them.

Then he remembered Tahiri Veila. The young Jedi had been captured on Yavin Four and the Yuuzhan Vong Shaper's had attempted to shape her mind and make her a Yuuzhan Vong Warrior.

Could this have happened to Wrev?

The memory of how the Yuuzhan Vong had attempted to break his own apprentice with the vong's war coordinator known as a Yammosk came to mind as well. He had to admit that Wrev was a possible risk.

"Well, I suppose there is not time like the present," Clighal reasoned. She turned here large eyes to take in both Kyp and Alema to her right.

"Wrev was a good friend. If it is him, I will be able to tell," Alema stated confidently.

"That's not the only risk," added Corrarn, who had clearly been thinking of the same things as Kyp.

Alema didn't answer but scowled and crossed her arms in front of her, and her Lekku behind her head. Kyp understood her anger. To have it suggested that a friend might be a danger when they had already lost so many would be infuriating.

"Never the less, we must verify that it is him before we deal with the other concerns." As always, Clighal's wisdom brought a tense situation down.

The four Jedi joined together and reached out with the force. They traveled out of the comm center, and into the atmosphere of Mon Calamari. Then out of the atmosphere, into the vastness of space.

They began to search. In the emptiness that seemed to extend into infinity a strong presence began to pulsate. The four Jedi followed its path weaving through the vacuum...And then, they had it. He was inside the ship.

A powerful force presence and he was... Talking.

"It's him! It's Wrev! He's Alive!" Alema squealed excitedly.

The group began to smile in relief for at least getting past that space mine. Then Kyp remembered...

"Did Wrev say anything else in his transmission? Besides his name?"

Dif Scaur exchanged glances with the holos of Sien Sovv and Admiral Ackbar.

"Yes, " Scaur started. "He said that his passenger was seeking asylum and was not to be harmed."

The Jedi looked at each other trying to understand what this could mean. Passenger?

Kyp reached out again. He quickly located Wrev inside the Tie Bomber. He was definitely conversing, but... There was no one else on board.

In the military hanger bay, the crowd had grown to encompass both the media, and civilian onlookers. Security kept them restrained and out of the way, whiles threatening to bar them all together. More Jedi had come as well, including the other members of the Jedi council. Security had decided against having President Cal Omas present due to the risk that this was all an elaborate trick to damage the Galactic Federation.

Kyp stood calmly in the crowd of Jedi and Military Officers with his hands folded in front of him. The realization that there was someone else aboard Wrev’s Tie Bomber, which was not in the force, could mean only one thing. And none of the Jedi liked what that meant.

Finally a small shuttle came into view through the hanger doors. It approached at standard incoming speed while the media and Mon Cal citizens began to shout in anticipation. Kyp felt the Jedi growing anxious as well. He was standing between Corran Horn and Tresina Lobi, the Chev Jedi Master was also one of the members of the Council.

The shuttle finally entered the doors and rotated forty-five degrees before coming to a soft landing. Several long seconds past before the landing ramp lowered. Four soldiers came down the ramp first, blasters in hand, guarding the shuttle. They were clad in full black military jumpsuits. Then Wrev Caster was visible.

He looked very different from the young man Kyp had seen on Ithor. He was rail thin, and looked as if a small force push could send him crashing into the other side of the hanger. His skin was pale and haggard, his face sunken in. Dark brown hair was long, falling to his lips in front and past his collar in back. The Jedi's face was also adorned with a thick unkempt beard. He wore a plain Jacket, shirt, and trousers, which were as non-descript as possible.

Two more soldiers escorted Wrev, pressing against each shoulder, but not restraining him. One of the soldiers was holding a very shinny cylinder; apparently Wrev took better care of his lightsaber than his appearance these days.

The far soldiers surrounded the trio and escorted them through the Hanger. They bypassed the crowds and headed towards a turbolift. Kyp knew they were, no doubt, headed for an interrogation room.

Then six more soldiers came down he ramp of the shuttle, armed with blasters, and repeated the procedure. The soldiers seemed to be as intent on protecting whatever was in the shuttle as they did the crowds. After a few seconds, Wrev's passenger became visible, sandwiched between four more soldiers. He was slightly taller than the soldiers were but it took a long time to figure out what species he was.

    She was.

She had short stringy black hair and pale skin. The only way Kyp could tell she was Yuuzhan Vong was by her more sloped forehead and small, almost none existent nose. However, she had no tattoos or scars making her appear infinitely different from the Vong warriors Kyp had seen.

This must be a shamed one

    Chapter 3

"Yuusung Saa! You have a visitor."

Yuusung Saa was sitting under one of the trees that the reptile creatures liked so much, sharpening his coufee. He turned to see a female Yuuzhan Vong Intendant and the Thiirsuu he was using hopped away at the sound of the intendant's voice and scurried into the village.

The Thiirsuu was a small amphibious creature with a large crescent shaped mouth. They were useful when sharpening blades because of their harder-than-stone teeth.

    "Visitor?" He asked.

"From outside, of coarse," the Intendant answered.

Outside meant outside of D'Ysuu, where Yuusung Saa had never been.

He knew who the visitor was of course, but he hadn't seen her in several months. Where did Nen Yim go when she left here? During Yuusung Saa's first few months in D'Ysuu she had been his constant contact. He would lie in her lab while she undid the infidels' damage. However, since then, she was rarely seen and her visits were becoming less frequent.

He stood up, put his coufee in its sheath, and nodded to the Intendant. She deserved little recognition as she was beneath him, but he couldn't resist giving the small nod of thanks. He was very excited to see Nen Yim, because it gave him a chance to prove his worthiness, to prove that he was cured of the Infidels' plague. If Nen Yim was convinced that he was to be trusted, she would tell Supreme Overlord Shimrra...Then Yuusung Saa could exact his revenge against the infidel Jedi.

D'Ysuu was alive with activity as the Yuuzhan Vong went about their daily work. Workers tended the farms and the rolling green pastures, while others cleaned the small living huts called fonns. Most Yuuzhan Vong on D'Ysuu were forced to share a fonn, but Yuusung Saa was fortunate enough not to.

As he though of seeing Nen Yim, he walked faster towards the entrance gates of the village. On his way he saw an attractive female Intendant moving the communes living serving bowls. The Intendant locked her gaze with Yuusung Saa for a moment, and he thought she had the bluest eyes he had ever seen. It was Yuusung Saa who broke their contact and turned his eyes back to his path. He knew that he must repulse all of the females in D'Ysuu, even those beneath him. Maybe after his honor was restored... Stay focused Yuusung Saa, he thought.

He rounded the corner around some small fonns and came to the commune entrance. He then saw Nen Yim along with eight fully armored warriors’ dismount from three Vrrips. The strong six-legged bovine creatures were used to transport heavy loads or several passengers.

The warriors surrounded Nen Yim. Her many tentacled headdress was shifting around the tope of her head. As he looked at the warriors,Yuusung Saa wondered if she was a prisoner of some sort. That would explain why she didn't visit him very often.

He continued approaching the group and Nen Yim finally caught sight of him and began to close the distance.

"Yuusung Saa, how do you feel today?" She asked.

"How do I feel?" Yuusung Saa pondered this for a moment. Only an infidel would care about such things. It was an infidel expression, because a true Yuuzhan Vong knew no difference between pleasure and pain. Pain was pleasure.

"I do not understand your question, Master Shaper Nen Yim," He answered.

She smiled. "Come, we will go to the damutek. We have much to discuss."

    "As you wish."

Yuusung Saa and Nen Yim walked side by side as the warriors stood close by, as if keeping them away from everyone else. But that made no sense, they were all Yuuzhan Vong here. There were no infidels, and even if they considered him an infidel, why keep him from the others? He could associate with them anytime. It made no sense, unless, they were keeping Nen Yim away. Perhaps she was a prisoner.

They reached the damutek and headed down the main corridor. When they reached a large Shaper's lab they stepped in, and the eight warriors waited on the other side of the sphincter. The only other being in the room was Nen Yim's adept, Cuusii Aruh.

Cuusii Aruh visited with Yuusung Saa nearly everyday and he oversaw Yuusung Saa's cleansing of the infidels' tampering while Nen Yim was away. Cuusii Aruh lived in the damutek and unlike Nen Yim, never left D'Ysuu. In fact, no one else ever left D'Ysuu...Sometimes a few warriors would ride in on Vrrips carrying supplies, but no one who lived here ever left.

"Master Nen Yim," Cuusii Aruh said while giving a deep bow.

"Adept," She acknowledged. "I trust everything has been proceeding without incident. You have not contacted my villip in some time."

"Yes, Master. Yuusung Saa seems to be cured of the infidels' heresy. Your shaping has brought him back to the gods," Cuusii Aruh praised.

"Do not assume anything, Adept," Nen Yim said. She then looked at Yuusung Saa. "Yuusung Saa came back to the gods on his own." A hint of a smile touched the ends of her lips.

"Of course, Master." Cuusii Aruh admitted.

"And what do you think, Yuusung Saa?" She asked. "Are you free of the infidels’ influence?"

She had asked him this many times before and it always sent a chill down his spine. He wanted to scream that he was, in fact, free of the infidels’ taint, but he wondered if it was true. The fact that he remembered the infidel was probably not good evidence.

"I am," He said confidently. "I am loyal only to the gods and the Yuuzhan Vong, and dedicated to the glory of both."

If the answer was what Nen Yim wanted to hear, her face betrayed nothing. She gestured to the two males, "Let’s begin the examination process, I'm anxious to see what has changed since I've been away."

Over the next several hour, or days, the two shaper ran various tests on Yuusung Saa. All had been done many times before, but he understood none of them. Many of them required that he was unconscious, so he soon lost track of time.

While unconscious Yuusung Saa saw many things; like a dream, but different; more real. Everything he saw brought him pain. Pain he was unable to embrace. Infidel pain.

He saw a green forest and a small white creature that radiated peace, but it brought him great pain and sorrow. He saw a thrashing violet blade that cut down Yuuzhan Vong warriors with every swing. Then, an image of a green alien female with long head tails. She was slowly dying, and then disappeared. This brought him more pain.

He saw much infidel technology that he did not understand; yet it felt like a second skin.

Next a red-haired female infidel, who was obviously ill, surrounded by Yuuzhan Vong warriors and he was protecting her.... Then he saw himself holding tow glowing lights, protecting the green alien he had seen earlier.

His mind began to race through more images. Images of six-legged black creatures, covered in scales. Their yellow eyes pierced him and venomous acid dripped from their sharp teeth. He saw more infidel technology. His mind fluttered through things so fast, he could not make sense of them. It was impossible to put them into any order.

An image of two dead bodies slowed things down. Who were they? They looked familiar.

What came next was the most painful of all. A moon larger than it should be followed by an image of a giant alien covered with brown hair...

Then an endless line of Yuuzhan Vong warriors attacking him. There was no escape!

Until the last image surfaced... A curly haired, blonde, human with green eyes. When he looked at her eyes...

When he awoke Yuusung Saa was in a membranous bubble chamber. He was in a sitting position with his back against on of the bubble walls and the chamber was filled to his chest with a foggy, water like, substance. He could see the two Shapers discussing something, he assumed it was about him but he couldn't hear anything.

After a few hours they released him from the chamber and allowed him to dress; the testing was done. Yuusung Saa wanted to ask what the results were, if he was in fact free of the infidel's influence, but to do so was not the proper decorum for a warrior.

"Yuusung Saa, we are finished here. You may return to your work now," Nen Yim said.

A shot of disappointment ran through him. He must have failed.

"As you wish, Shaper Nen Yim."

    Excellent work, YodaKenobi! :D
So you have a completely (or almost completely) shaped Anakin. Interesting.
You really have an eye for detail and quite the imagination for creating details in the Yuuzhan Vong realm. :)

I like how you describe Anakin's features through the eyes of a Yuuzhan Vong--we see them as handsome. They see them as quite repulsive.
Dark hair, blue eyes, broad shoulders [face_love]

I didn't realize at first that the character in the opening scene was actually Anakin--that he was that far in the shaping process. Duh! [face_blush]

A younger Kyp would never have wasted the middle of the day on such a thing, but now he was wiser, and knew the importance of introspection.
    [face_laugh]

Kyp did not pry at her with the force, but instead, radiated his own calm demeanor, waiting for the officer to provide more information.
    Hmmm...Kyp exhibiting patience. That's a first. :p
The boy must be learning. ;)

I find it interesting that you chose Corran as the leader of the Jedi in Luke's place. But I do think that he is likely the best choice. :)

This wasn't a surprise considering he trained with Ganner's Class at the Academy. That generation spent a lot of time training with lightsabers; living out Old Republic fantasies, no doubt. Kyp thought it was more flash than actual substance,
    Interesting

?I don?t understand,? Kyp replied, hoping it would push the Sullustan Commander to get to the point.

    "That is not a surprise,"

    [face_laugh]

"Yes, Master. Yuusung Saa seems to be cured of the infidels' heresy. Your shaping has brought him back to the gods," Cuusii Aruh praised.
    Sithspit!

I love the way you include Anakin's memories.

:D I can't wait to see where you go with this!

Wow, YodaKenobi! This is a great fic so far. I'm glad Jade reccomended it. :)

Whenever I write I always have trouble with the discription. I wish i could write detail like you. :) I also like how well you write the Vong and their technology.

So the Vong are doing to Anakin what they tried to do to Tahiri? :0 :D Cool!

I'll definitly bookmark this fic. I can't wait to read more. :)

I appreciate that you took the time to read the story, and thanks Jade-Walker for putting such a nice recommendation on the FADA thread. :)

I find it interesting that you chose Corran as the leader of the Jedi in Luke's place. But I do think that he is likely the best choice.

I didn't mean for Corran to be seen as the leader of the Jedi Council now, just the person Luke picked to fill a seat while he was gone.

    Thanks again, everyone!

    Hi, The_Jedi_Ambyr-Rose. Thanks for reading.

Because I was trying to keep the story within continuity, I couldn't use Tahiri, because at this time she would be in a coma. I also couldn't use any of the other major characters from the FH trilogy. but, they will all be in the second part of my story, which won't be up until after TFP is out, and I have given up on continuity ;)

    Chapter 4

High Priest Jakan had grown weary from the shamed one's heresy. It was not only exhausting trying to route it out all over Yuuzhan'tar, but he was becoming concerned for his own well being. He wondered how close Lord Shimrra was to dismissing him, or, having him executed. Shimrra was not pleased with his progress, will I be the next victim of the jeedai heresy?

Realizing that he was no longer paying attention to what was going on in the Supreme Overlord's Court, a violation that could get him killed as well, he quickly ended his current line of thought. Priestess Naaluk was still giving her rendition of an encounter with three shames ones she believed were involved in the heresy. If Jakan could only find this "Yu'shaa", he knew he would be in the Overlord's good graces. This "Prophet" had turned rumors into rhetoric, whispers into action. He had organized the heresy, and given it direction and purpose.

Jakan became aware his mind was wondering again when Lord Shimrra's eyes met his. The Supreme Overlord's Maa'it implants, where his eyes should have been, cycled through the color spectrum, making him even more imposing; which was not an easy task. He was easily the largest Yuuzhan Vong Jakan had ever seen. His face was nothing more then thousands of scars and tattoos, enhancing the glare of the Maa'it implants. He was magnificent. Can he tell that I'm no longer paying attention?

He felt the pressure begin to build inside his brain, as it often did when the Supreme Overlord was displeased with him. How does he do that?

So Jakan was more then a little relieved when one of Shimrra's villip intendants entered the court carrying a small, non-descript villip. For the intendant to interrupt the court proceedings, the villip message would have to be of the utmost importance.

Shimrra did not address the intendant; he just stared at him, demanding that he speak. But the intendant wouldn't dare speak until the Supreme Overlord granted him permission to. It was Onimi, Shimrra's Jester, who broke the silence.

"Great on, I believe that is you...shaper's villip," the shamed one said in a squeaky voice.

"Yes," Shimrra confirmed,"retrieve the villip Onimi. The rest of you are to leave at once."

The priests began to file out when Jakan and started to feel good about leaving alive. He would at least have another day to crush the shamed one's heresy, and find Yu'shaa.

"Jakan, Come back here," Shimrra's words were like spikes through his head.

Perhaps this was the end... He turned back to face Shimrra's throne. As he approached he felt as if his bladder might give out. He could feel the eyes of the other priests on him as they stole glances of him before exiting the court.

"I want you to be here for this," Shimrra said.

Jakan didn't know if he should be relieved or not. Shimrra gestured to Onimi and the shamed one began to rub the villip. It inverted into the head of a Master Shaper. He could tell she was a master from the tentacles on her headdress. Shimrra motioned to Jakan, beckoning him to stand beside his throne, opposite Onimi, so that he would have a better view of the villip. Jakan was fairly certain he had never seen this shaper before. What made her so important?

"Speak Nen Yim, I will hear you now," Shimrra's voice was powerful, even when speaking in lower tones.

The head on the villip bowed. "As you wish Lord Shimraa, I have news regarding Yuusung Saa."

What could have been a smile crossed Shimrra's face. "Yes, young Yuusung Saa. I trust you are making progress in that area."

"Yes, Dread One. I believe I have taken it as far as I can. His shaping is complete, the rest will be up to the warriors."

Shimrra contemplated this for a moment. "That is welcome news Nen Yim, but you must be certain. When the warriors take the project over there will be no turning back, and much at stake."

Jakan hadn't a clue what they were discussing, but he didn't dare ask. If Shimrra wanted him to know something, he would tell him. For now, all he had to do was stay focused on listening. Then Shimrra turned to look at him.

“Nen Yim, why don’t you tell High Priest Jakan about Yuusung Saa and your work with him?”

"It is safe to speak of such things then?" Nen Yim asked.

"Only the High Priest and Onimi are with me," Shimrra assured her.

Nen Yim looked as if she might ask why they should trust Jakan, but thought better of it. Jakan was relieved that she feared Shimrra as well.

"Yuusung Saa is an infidel we have shaped," Nen Yim began, "he was one of the jeedai."

Jakan had heard of a failed shaping attempt on the planet that the infidels called Yavin Four. The shaper Mezhan Kwaad had attempted to shape a young jeedai female name Tahiri Veila. She had been recaptured by another young jeedai, Anakin Solo, with the aide of a former warrior turned shamed one, Vua Rapuung. The jeedai Solo assisted Vua Rapuung by getting Mezhan Kwaad to admit she had shamed the former warrior. This story quickly spread through the shamed, and was one of their principle heresies. They believed that the jeedai would redeem them. The fact that Shimrra wanted to try and replicate such a tremendous failure made Jakan uneasy.

"More specifically," Nen Yim said,"he was the jeedai known as Anakin Solo."

Jakan's jaw dropped. Not only had they used a jeedai, but they used the jeedai from the shamed ones tales, and a Solo. The Yuuzhan Vong had had more than a little trouble from the infidel domain Solo. Anakin’s sister had proclaimed herself the Yuuzhan Vong Goddess, Yun-Harla, and his brother had pretended to be broken only to betray the Yuuzhan Vong.

"We have been working on him for over a year, but the majority was done in a few weeks," Nen Yim continued to speak even though High Priest Jakan could no longer hear.

"wwheeen..." Jakan composed himself. "I was under the impression that Anakin Solo was killed on a worldship orbiting the infidel planet Myrkr. What happened?"

Shimrra glowered; "you are not here to ask questions, Jakan! You are here to listen."

"Yes, Supreme One," Jakan coward, and noticed a large grin on Onimi's face.

"Jakan, I don't think you fully understand the significance of this, " Shimrra's tone was lighter.

"Yes, Dread one. I do not fully understand."

"This is the solution to all your problems," Shimrra continued.

    "My lord?"

"Imagine, a jeedai serving the Yuuzhan Vong gods. The very jeedai that the shamed ones believe to be their redemption will be under my command, and thus under Yun-Yuuzhan's. When the shamed ones see him the heresy will come to an end more permanently then if we killed them all. The heresy will be exposed for what it is and the shamed ones will come to see the true way. They will, once again, prey to Yun-Shuno for redemption and not the jeedai."

Jakan wasn't sure of that. Could the Supreme Overlord be so displeased with his progress in routing out the heresy, that he shaped the jeedai and devised this plan? What will Shimrra do with him if that's the case? No, Nen Yim said she had been working on the jeedai for over a year, the heresy had not been organized that long. There was something else Shimrra wanted from Anakin Solo.

"What is your ultimate plan for Yuusung Saa?" Jakan asked.

"I will believe you insolence is curiosity Jakan, but that is not your business," Shimrra was growing angry. Jakan didn't dare press the issue,"I only wanted you to hear what Nen Yim has to say and give us your thoughts on it."

"It is a sound plan Dread One," Jakan was not use to groveling this way, he was the High Priest after all; only Shimrra himself was closer to the gods. "But, I fear that this plan has tremendous potential to do irreparable damage."

    "Explain."

"If...Yuusung Saa betrays us, as his brother has...If he did so in the presence of the shamed, if another jeedai was able to overcome shaping, I fear the heresy might turn to open rebellion."

To Jakan's surprise Shimrra seemed to consider this, so Jakan continued. "Even now he could be using the jeedai tricks to tell his clan his location."

"That is not a problem," Shimrra assured, then turned to the villip. "Does D'Ysuu need more Ysalamiri?"

"No, Lord Shimrra. Since we planted the trees their numbers have flourished."

Shimrra nodded then added, "but Jakan's fears are well founded." Jakan didn't let his surprise show. "I have spoken with the gods on the matter, and they wish to proceed. I will send Commander Hul Choka and a cadre of warriors to D'Ysuu before the next cycle."

"Anakin Solo has destroyed more than one cadre before, Supreme One, do you think it wise," Nen Yim asked. Jakan was waiting for the Supreme Overlord to snap at her as he had Jakan, but Shimrra's tone was cool.

"The gods think it wise. His shaping is complete, so one cadre will suffice. The fewer who know, the less chance of any...'irreparable damage' at this stage."

With that, the topic was closed.

"I will be leaving D'Ysuu in the morning," Nen Yim informed. Jakan wondered where this "D'Ysuu" was.

"Good, you have much to do. How is your work on the Yammosk jammer coming?" Shimrra asked.

"I expect a break through soon Lord, but the infidel repulsor is complex."

Jakan knew that the infidels had found a way to block the Yammosk's telepathic signal. Evidently that assignment had been placed in the hand's of Nen Yim as well. A very important shaper, and yet Jakan had never heard of her. Most disturbing though, was the mention of studying the infidel repulsor. That was bordering on heresy.

Shimrra motioned for Jakan to leave, and he did so. After the jeedai project and the repulsor, Jakan left the chamber with a lot of doubts about Nen Yim, and even a few about Lord Shimrra.
