Roan Shryne in AOTC

So Roan Shryne was sent to Geonosis and obviously survived. I've been watching AOTC to try and place him. Now I know he's technically not there, he wasn't conceived until Dark Lord, but the point was to see if he could be reconned in.

Going on his description, what about the Jedi who tosses the lightsaber to Obi-Wan? The problem is I don't see him again after that so I don't know if he's killed or not.

And if anyone knows the actor, or if that paticular chatacter is named, that would help a lot.

 

Roan Shryne is this guy.

 

Weren't the guys that tossed lightsabers to Obi Wan and Anakin members of one of the crappy boy bands of the time!? I remember hearing something along those line back in 2002.

 

No, I'm pretty sure N*Sync or the Backstreet Boys or whoever it was got cut from the film after fans revolted.

 

I'm pretty sure that was just a rumor.

 

Now the question becomes: is there anyone who looks like that at Geonosis?

And also: something about his face reminds me of Luceno. Is anyone else thinking that image was based off of Luceno's appearance?

 

Well, it's a photo, so it may actually be Luceno.

 

I don't really see the connection. The hair color is similar, and Luceno has a moustashe, but Shryne looks too gaunt.

That's the picture and his book jacket photo, and while Shryne doesn't look a ton like his official photo on the book jackets, if you check out the Dark Lord: RODV video clip on TOS (worth it for the laughably bad interviewer alone) he looks a lot more similar. I'll see if I can dig up a link for that. And what do you know, I found it.

 

That's deffinately not Luceno. But for some reason I thought Shryne was retconned to have appeared in ROTS, as Koffi Arana had been.

 

I just actually watched the video again (well, skipped through it looking for good looks at Luceno. That goofy-as-hell interviewer had some wacky stills in there too) and Luceno seems to be a little slimmer than that photo makes him look, almost as much as Shryne. There are definitely some similarities there, but the video never really gets close enough to say for sure.

 

Yeah, it reminded me of Luceno too!
And the pic of Tra'avis reminds me of Gene Wilder.

 

What I was thinking.

And where did that photo come from anyway? Who is he?
