RS coming soon Dec 2027 or possibly Dec 2029 or failing that Dec 2031

 

Winds of Winter is going to come out before Rouge Squadron.


And that’s an optimistic assumption……

 

There is not, and likely never will be (unless Lucasfilm opts for a Francophone-only release) a movie titled Rouge Squadron.

The Baz Luhrman version is probably just as likely as the Jenkins one at this point.

 

I just finished watching Top Gun: Maverick (finally), and that was without exaggeration or hesitation the best action movie I’ve seen since Mad Max: Fury Road. Lucasfilm needs to get a Rogue Squadron movie that’s this good made yesterday.

 

This is what I'm saying. If LFL does it right, it's practically a license to print money.

 

I agree with this. But if Lucasfilm is going to take inspiration from Tom Cruise movies, I’d be more interested in their take on Cocktail, featuring a young and fun Wuher before he became the grumpy bastard bartender he is in A New Hope.

Well, it's not surprise...

 

for me Rogue Squadron is better fit for TV show.

I'm in boat that movies should be reserved for the Galaxy Spanning War Stories and stories that affect the fate of the Galaxy. So I-IX+RO fits this.

How did we know this? Didn't people here say after Patty Jenkins was free from her DC endeavors, that this means she will indeed be making her SW movie?

Anyway, on topic.... I can't help it but to laugh with these news. At this point, the phrase "next Star Wars film" is a joke.
And while this is sad, it's also extremely comical.
