Bad Moon Rising - great song, should probably be a little higher on the list.

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - very emblamatic of the new wave era of the early 80's. I like it, though it's probably a bit high on the list.

Little Wing, Jimi Hendrix - I like Clapton doing it with Derek & The Dominoes too.

All You Need Is Love - Yep, but maybe a little high on the list.

    Others: I don't think so.

    354. Watching the Detectives, Elvis Costello Haven't heard it.

    355. Bad Moon Rising, Creedence Clearwater Revival
    - Definitely, great song. Written in 1968, when Nixon was elected President. Right on the money. Iconic.

    356. Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), Eurythmics
    - Hm. Maybe. Sure.

    357. Little Wing, Jimi Hendrix Not familiar with this.

    358. Nowhere to Run, Martha and the Vandellas
    - Yes. Definitely

    359. Got My Mojo Working, Muddy Waters Haven't heard it.

    360. Killing Me Softly With His Song, Roberta Flack
    - If this is the one that I'm thinking about, eh, I'm not sure. It's a good song, but 500 list worthy? Maybe? No.

    361. Complete Control, The Clash ?

    362. All You Need Is Love, The Beatles
    - Yes, great song. No, it isn't. One of the worst songs Lennon ever wrote.

    363. The Letter, The Box Tops Not bad.

    354. Watching the Detectives, Elvis Costello

Heard this one, don't remember it much. He's done better.

    357. Little Wing, Jimi Hendrix

Oh, heck, yeah. Awesome; low key for Hendrix, but brilliant and beautiful.

    360. Killing Me Softly With His Song, Roberta Flack

    Yeah, I'm gonna say no.

    362. All You Need Is Love, The Beatles

    Du riguer. Solid, but overrated.

    344. Piece of My Heart, Big Brother and the Holding Company Yes, but only because of Janis Joplin's impassioned vocal.

    345. La Bamba, Ritchie Valens
    - If this is the one that I'm thinking of, no way. Great hook.

    346. California Love, Dr. Dre and 2Pac Haven't heard it.

    347. Candle in the Wind, Elton John
    - Sure. God, no.

    348. That Lady (Part 1 and 2), The Isley Brothers Definitely.

    352. All Shook Up, Elvis Presley

    353. Tears in Heaven, Eric Clapton

I see these three songs and I think, OK fine, they can be on the list even if it is some of their weaker stuff. But if these songs are on this list, there are about ten others from each of these musicians that better be higher up on here. :p

    345. La Bamba, Ritchie Valens

Fun. And influential. That's about it.

    347. Candle in the Wind, Elton John

    I loathe this song.

    351. The Great Pretender, The Platters

I actually prefer a lesser known song called The Great Imposter. :p

    352. All Shook Up, Elvis Presley

    Yeah, classic.

    353. Tears in Heaven, Eric Clapton

The artist wrestles with grief. Definitely.

You don't know Baba O'Reily? It's the theme to CSI Miami, and it's a pretty distinctive song.

    334. Wild Horses, The Rolling Stones

One of their all time best songs; I can't get enough of it.

    336. Walk This Way, Aerosmith

Love this one as well. This is one of only three songs to make it on the list by two different artists; Run-DMC's remake of it is on the list as well.

    337. Beat It, Michael Jackson

The golden age of Jackson, it's not as good as Billie Jean or Thriller, but probably it's next in his oveur. And yes, Weird Al's version was called Eat It, about a picky eater. [face_laugh]

    340. Baba O'Riley, The Who

A classic, but I've always found it just a tad overrated.

    341. The Harder They Come, Jimmy Cliff

Yes, brilliant, but Many Rivers to Cross is even better.

Need to save this thread from oblivion.

Baba O'Riley is a very unique song. If you watch House it makes a very memorable cameo in (I believe) the third season.

Missed this the last time through.

Wild Horses - Great song; just listened to Sticky Fingers last night. Could be higher.

Sweet Jane - I find the VU to be overrated.

Walk This Way - Classic riff, good song. Right about where it should be.

Beat It - Good pop song with EVH solo. Probably too high.

Maybe I'm Amazed - Great song, could be higher.

You Keep Me Hanging On - One of their better songs.

Baba O'Riley - This song should be in the top 20 or 30.

The Harder They Come - huh?

Runaround Sue - Good song from the pre-Beatle era.

More than makes up for it with "feeling". A wonderfully evocative song.

It is overrated in the sense that on most lists its usually up with Stairway to Heaven, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Day In the Life, and a few others as one of the best four or five rock songs ever. I don't really have a problem with it in the 300s.
