I was so distracted by the jaw jawn yesterday that I didn't even notice the (seeming?) lightsaber scabbard in his left hand until today! My interest is piqued... Also, wasn't sure whether to touch on this here or in the Diversity thread: Spoiler I really appreciate this and I'm interested to read how each of these aspects comes through! Especially the chronic illness aspect, I'll be reading closely for that in particular. Everything about this project is so interesting and promising.
Indeed! I don’t mind either. The canon label has seemed more restrictive to me in recent years, so I’m all for creators being let loose. My first reading of the synopsis was that this set during the birth of the Sith Order. Not sure if that’s actually the case or if, like you mentioned, it’s closer to Lucas’s ideas not just in terms of what he eventually envisioned but in terms of how the universe was set up to work originally. Some of the artwork makes me think it’s the latter rather than the former. But I would love to see someone’s interpretation of the Sith origin story.
I think a finished Mandorla would be a better choice to start to revisit Legends. It's far enough back that it could be sold as not not Canon, in much the same way that Visions isn't clearly one or the other. If the KotOR remake is happening, it would make even more sense.
Im going to love this Reimagining of the Star Wars Universe. The Sith rebellion sounds like its akin to the Hundred-Year Darkness.
Buried all the way back in page 3 no less. I do wonder about AW, do they get paid or is Disney, LFL and DR getting free labour?
https://www.ign.com/articles/star-wars-anime-visions-set-after-rise-of-skywalker-episode-9-canon The Ninth Jedi is lost-IX too?!
So could the ninth jedi be like 50-plus years later depending on how slow or fast Rey started the new jedi, i bet she like Luke spend 10 years researching the jedi and it's origin.
I really hope that Visions gets treated like Tales in terms of canon status. Would be great to see these new eras get folded into the timeline and expanded with bridge stories.
They mentioned one of the episodes is Made in Abyss inspired. The sheer amount of beauty and horror that invited is staggering.
I just want them to get it over with and blow open the door on the Star Wars multiverse. Some people will be upset, but I think it’s for the best.
So....kind of a Sith origin story with old, japanese vibes. I am definetely interested. I think I'm gonna read this novel in fall.
