Made me genuinely laugh.

 

We talking about sneks? I was a few feet away from a decent sized Water Moccassin/Cottonmouth the other day, but he barely even seemed to notice me, if at all.

 

A snake once fell into my car through the sun roof. I think I have shared this before

 

Y'all are talking about doing what to what now?

I'm out of it for a while and everybody gets delusions of grandeur

I used to see those in FL. They are sometimes aggressive when startled; but yeah, most snakes are afraid of humans and prefer to be as far away from us as possible.
Those who advocate for the eradication of snakes must be huge fans of rats and mice and the diseases they carry; as rodents would overrun the planet without snakes eating them. Snakes also provide meals for many mammals that people "like." The ecosystem would be disrupted in a majorly negative way if snakes were eliminated. Also, snake venom is used to create some medicines for humans.

 

I like sneks but I would have had a heart attack if that happened to me

 

I was once in a pool and had to get out because of a water moccasin. Somebody fished it out with one of those pool net things.

We only have garden snakes and little guys this far north so after a startle of it landing in the car it was a cute little snek.

Yeah, that stuff is true, and I agree in that imo anyone unironically advocating for the eradication an entire species probably isnt very smart. I can understand people having a fear of them though, similar to a fear of spiders or a fear of needles. I used to be completely fine with needles when I was younger, but now, despite knowing that needles aren't harmful at all, I still have a weird irrational fear of them. It's embarrassing to start like irrationally sweating whenever I get a shot or blood work or anything like that


Though tbh I think sneks are pretty cool, as long as you admire any dangerous ones from a safe distance

Ah, so luckily nothing dangerous. Speaking of garden snakes, i walked outside one time and found my cat playing with a really small one
