Time for a Last Crusade Review!

Alright, so I was kinda annoyed with the movie at the start. I have a problem with little details popping out (I blame my time watching Cinema Sins for that) and this had a few for me. But overall, I really liked it. Not as much as the first two (I’ll get to the ranking once I watch Crystal Skull @Huttese 101 :p), but it was great.

Also, what Darsk said about Sean Connery is 100% true. I absolutely loved his character in this movie. Like, he’s better than Short Round, which is saying something.

But I think we can all agree that the best character in the movie is Gimli :p

Nice review. Yeah, The Last Crusade is excellent.

Another win for Black Panther! Original Score. I liked Mary Poppins Returns better, but they're both good.

Well, that's what my childhood is telling me. :p

Okay, this inspired me to finally watch it... and I honestly don’t get what all the fuss is about.

Why do most Star Wars fans overreact to the stupidest crap.

Well, it full on misinterprets Leia as a character and events in ANH. While she bickered with Han, she never reacted like a ***** in the way the short presents. It's a really bad short. The rest of the shorts, while taking some creative liberties, have at least stayed true to the characters, their actions, and how the events played out in the films.

It just seems like an impossibly stupid thing to be angry about to me. It's a short. For kids. It's like if I would get angry if they didn't get Boots's character exactly right in an episode of Dora.

Oh yeah, I'm not angry. I'm critical about it, but they didn't go out of their way to purposely infuriate anyone. Still, it's disheartening to see Disney produced content for Star Wars get it so wrong.

I'm just glad Spider-Verse won tonight, and I would have taken it over most of the Best Picture nominees as well.

Wait, so for who would be the first live action comic book film to win an Oscar, they chose:

    A standard superhero film

    Or

One of the most important films of the 21st century, creating a villain so amazing that many already consider him the Darth Vader of the 21st century, being the culmination of almost 20 films and over 40 characters, each with a complex character arc in their own right, seamlessly adding them together, bringing some of the most emotional, sad, breathtaking, and exciting moments in an entire franchise, and the film that shook up and set a precedent for the entire film industry as a whole.

And they chose the average superhero film to get an Oscar?! What. The. Hell?! That would be like choosing Howard The Duck to win an Oscar over Empire Strikes Back (if they were released in the same year of course), or Iron Man 3 over The Avengers. Ya know what, im gonna say it; Black Panther is the most overrated film of all time.

That's it. Burn it all down. 2017-2019 was a mistake. Life is pain. Actually:

    Black Panther=PETA
    Infinity War=Steve Irwin

Obviously Black Panther isn't NEARLY as bad as PETA, but it might as well be compared to Infinity War.

Infinity War: We stand here amidst MY achievement, not yours!"

First off, Black Panther wasn't the first live-action comic book film to win an Oscar.

    Secondly, calm down.

    Third of all, no.

Counterpoint: Black Panther was a cultural phenomenon that received praise from critics and audiences and was the highest grossing film in the U.S last year. It spoke to people in ways other films, especially other super hero films, have never done so before and just because you might not be one of them it doesn't invalidate their opinions and feelings. Try to understand just how much this movie meant to so many people and just be happy something like it got nominated instead of the usual pretentious drab films like Roma.

Yeah, that was my bad, for some reason I thought it was the first to win. :p

While I think Infinity War 100% deserved to win an oscar over Black Panther, I was trying to be over the top, especially with my comment about 2017-2019 being a mistake, the PETA comment, etc.

It may not be the most overrated, but imo it is overrated. :p

Yeah, it definitely was a massive cultural phenomenon, but Infinity War was quite massive as well. Infinity War was also the globally highest grossing film of 2018 and one of the highest grossing of all time. I didn't mean that Black Panther was bad, I just think that Infinity War was an outright masterpiece. And yeah, this film was definitely massive-probably one of the most anticipated films in recent memory, along with TFA and Infinity War. Its just my opinion that the film's quality isnt on the same level as Infinity War.

Once again, my apologies if my original post was too aggressive, I was trying to be over the top, and while I do think Infinity War was better than Black Panther and deserved an oscar, I really didn't mean to come off as outright seriously infuriated. :p

Did he win best lead actor or whatever? I skipped the Oscars this year. If he did, I'm glad, good for him, he was perfect for Freddie Mercury, he played it perfectly, and I enjoyed it.
