The long version:
I'm not sure I follow here. Norris was a martial arts champion-and-devoloper, an action star, a TV star and a philanthropic well-doer. But now the guy's 79 years old. At that age most people are retired from whatever success they'd since achieved. So I don't get what "washed up" has to do with it. It's not like he's out there still trying to pass himself off as a leading man action hero; these days he mostly just makes an occasional commemorative or ceremonial appearance for laughs or to be a good sport, if anything at all. I'd say he's left nothing on his plate but isn't trying to order any more from the menu either. And I get that his heyday was well before your time and thus you mostly know him through a passing internet meme fad, but don't be too quick to speak for everyone else on the matter. Many my age and older grew up with his movie/television streak and maintain those impression first and foremost.

One day, younger generations will be saying, "I don't get those Marvel Avengers movies. No one remembers them. They're just old and washed up." And you'll be like, "Hey, kid. Let me tell ya something..."

I know Norris from “Texas Ranger” (TV Series) and his earlier commando days in “Missing in Action I and II.” He was Bombad! I loved his cameo in “The Expendables 2.”

In terms of starring roles the only ones of his I've seen are Code of Silence and The Delta Force. The former of which in particular I'd say is worth watching. Though I don't think anything will or frankly can top his Expendables 2 appearance of course.

 

Oh, easily it can. That was mostly just a wink-wink cameo. The over-the-top mayhem he delivers in Invasion USA, Braddock: Missing in Action III and, his career best, Lone Wolf McQuade is in large part what solidified his place among the other greyed action stars in aforesaid Stallone jamboree to begin with.

 

Was kind of being facetious, but it's a fair point nonetheless. Might have to check those ones out sometime! Lol
