Today I learned that the US hadn’t had a commercial aviation disaster resulting in a fatality since 2009

that streak came to an end tonight as a military helicopter collided with a commercial airliner in DC.

now I bring this up mostly to reassure myself that airplanes are by far the safest form of transport. You’re much more likely to be killed walking, driving, biking or boating. It will be hard to remember this

my heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives tonight.

I knew from the author of the post it wasn't going to be anything positive, don't need more depression in my life

@Jedi Knight Fett has come a long way from when he first joined. I used to wake up to 500+ notifications on here because he would like my posts, then unlike them, and then like them again. He would then tag me immediately after doing this to tearfully apologize and then proceed to unlike but then re-like my posts. He would do this at least five times for each post that I made

Now, as of 2023, I only wake up to 50+ notifications of him tagging me to go for a walk to get my steps in, constantly forgetting that I lost my legs in the Great War. Damn Kaiser blew em off

 

Him liking posts never bothered me,

Going to the birthday of a friend of mine tomorrow

 

she might meet Darsk, The Wizard, The Baron and the fair maiden twins there.

 

I realized recently that my cousins daughter is now 11 and it freaked me out. I used to see her a decent amount until she was 8 but haven’t seen her since. But crazy to me

I think my cousin was about 23 when he and his then girlfriend had her. Happily married now and they also have a son. It they are some of the best parents I have seen so it all worked out
