Hello all fellow rogues. This is Michele and I apartment search guidelines. We are looking for:

Prefferably 2bd/1bath, if only 1.5 bath then thats fine. Also, 1bd/1ba. if it follows rest of guidelines.
Price Range from $400 to $750, if you have to over by a little then thats fine. Lower is awsome too.
Cat Friendly need to know deposit on it.
Location to CSUS and Sacramento City College.
Looking to Move Mid-End June to Very Early July.
Preferably a 6 Month Lease, with options of a 1 Year and Month to Month. If they only have 1 years, we can work with it.

If you find any information, please let us know, what your findings are.

Thank you all for you help. If anything changes I will post it here.

    Thank You,
Chris and Michele Rogue 15 and 16

I've seen some empty apartments in my complex lately. Mostly, they've been two bedroom but I'll find out if there are any available singles... we are not by Sac State, but it's a decent little complex (best in the neighborhood I think), plus plenty of bus/lightrail access.

EDIT: Fixed one of my retarded spelling errors.

Our official Move date has been pushed back a few months due to: A. School issues, and B. Lack of Funds currently. Still looking however. The latest possible, and i really hope not this late but the latest would be Jan. of 2009. However, we are still going to be looking as if we were moving around the same time. Who knows, alot can happen in a few months so lets keep our kingers crossed.

    ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA:
"A ghetto is a section of a city occupied by a group who live there especially because of social, economic, or legal pressure."

    and...

"The term "ghetto" is now commonly used to refer to any poverty-stricken urban area. In the U.S, "Rural ghetto" is used to describe mobile home parks, farm labor housing tracts, and Indian reservations. Urban neighborhoods where Mexican immigrants settled in the late 20th century (called barrios) are said to be comparable to ghettos, because most immigrants are clustered in culturally isolated enclaves." Or in SW language: a place where the dark side not only languishes, but is encouraged. Kinda like the lower levels of Coruscant, but only in the Capital of California (as opposed to the galaxy).

Master Vos is correct: we must join you in your search, to protect you from the dark side. I suggest everything surrounding the immediate six block radius of Sacramento City Junior College (one of my alma maters). CSUS has . . . more questionable areas on it's outskirts, but would be more affordable I think. We can give you more recommendations and a couple local apartment guides this Saturday, which will be an excellent day to go apartment hunting bye the way.

I know. I'm teasing. But, your in a bit of hurry to move I'll bet, so I'll try to scrounge some local apartment guides to give you on Saturday. The following areas are to be avoided at ALL COSTS: Oak Park, Meadowview, Rio Linda, Alkalai Flats, Del Paso Heights, Mills Park area in Rancho Cordova, Valley Hi area in South Sacramento, anything related to the Lemon Hill area, and the list continues. I will provide you details this Saturday at the meeting if you wish. There are ... exceptions (some parts of Del Paso Heights are quite nice), but you would need assistance preparing to avoid any uncomfortable "entanglements".

Keep in mind my opinion is rooted in being a Sac Deputy Sheriff, and will include small but indiscrimanent amounts of paranoia (SP?), which goes with the trade of course. It tends to scew my perspective. But, I've earned an AA from American River JC, an AS from Sac City JC, and I attended (briefly) CSUS and I work there part time as a reserve officer. Also, I grew up in a trailer park in North Highlands, so I'm no prema-donna. The following areas are desirable based upon their proxemity to your desired school: Tahoe Park, certain parts of Centerparkway, much of North Sacramento, certain parts of Mid-Town Sacramento (always fun to live in the heart of the city though- I will research a one bedroom for you in the heart of downtown, but it will not be near any convenient stores), and "certain areas" of downtown Sacramento.
    More on this later [face_peace]

Hey there csarrico, if you're still looking, I pay $750/mo for a 1 year lease in a 1 br/1ba apartment. I know it's higher than what you want, but you could always check out the place with no obligation to rent and see the area. There's a lot of green here, and the managers are very nice. I live on Spanos Court, off of Howe between Sierra and Northrop. There are restaurants and shopping galore (for what it's worth) and it takes me about 5 minutes to cut through this parking lot to get to the nearest bus stop (for the 82 and the 87). It seems to be a nice part of town. Agree Ekim? And I, myself, have a cat. Come and at least check out the complex with the pool, the gym room, and the sauna. :)

here is the order of Importance for appartment:

    Price/Size
Location to the 2 schools and Sacramento Excutive Airport
    Pet Friendly

Lease is prefered in this order:
    Month 2 Month
    6 Month
    1 Year (worst possible seniero)

The rest is not really of any concern, but it is appriciated.

Thanks to all that have worked on helping us out.

Our Move Date has been pushed back to About December right now. It can change at anytime, and if I get the SWA job, then I will come really fast.
