    Thanks SK :D Here's a new post, hope you all enjoy it! ;)
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    There was a searing flash of white, hot and painful, and then it cleared, and Jaina found herself in familiar surroundings, a bedroom very reminiscent to the one Tahiri had lived in back at the Jedi Academy on Yavin Four.
    "I will never understand the tastes of an infidel child."
    Jaina turned to see a woman standing in the corner. The stranger bore a slight resemblance to Tahiri, with the same golden locks and the same basic features, but she was most definitely not Tahiri Veila. There were deep scars marring her face, and her eyes were a cold ice green, her lips tattered with cuts running across her skin. The voodum crab armor she wore lead Jaina to realize that the figure before her was that of Riina Kwaad.
    If the hadn't given it away, the amphistaff in her hands certainly would have.
    "I happen to like what she's done with the room," Jaina retorted evenly.
    "That is not surprising, Jeedai," Riina Kwaad sneered. "Or perhaps I should address you as the Pretender, the one who dares to claim the mantle of the Trickster as her own."
    "Jaina will do," she replied. "Where's Tahiri?"
    "Here," another voice rasped, and this time Jaina knew it was Tahiri even before she spotted the girl laying in a heap on the floor.
    "I've been waiting for, Jeedai Solo," Riina chuckled coldly. "It is time for you to die."
    "Do you have any idea how many times I've heard that?" Jaina snorted, her eyes going to Tahiri instead. "Tahiri, you okay?"
    "Yeah," Tahiri rasped, struggling to her feet. "I'm okay."
    "Good," Jaina said with a nod.
    Tahiri moved up beside her and placed a hand on Jaina's arm. "Thanks," she said with a weak smile. "Thanks for coming after me."
    "Like I'd let you have all the fun," Jaina replied with a wink. She wanted to hug her, to wrap her arms around Tahiri and just hold her for a moment, to reassure herself that the younger girl was really okay, but she didn't. There would be time for that later, once they dealt with the cheap Yuuzhan Vong imitation.
    "Fun?" Riina echoed with a cackle. "It's fun you seek, is it, Jeedai?" Her eyes flashed with a cold hatred, and her lip curled up into a snarl. "Then fun you shall receive."
    "No," Tahiri whimpered, recoiling. "No, please, no!"
    "Tahiri?" Jaina asked, not understanding what was making her so terrified. "Tahiri, what is..."
    Her voice trailed off as the world around her suddenly faded and she found herself standing in a dark cavern, the echo of battle ringing in her ears. Blaster fire seared through the air, and there was a distinctive sound of a lightsaber hissing in the dark.
    "No," Jaina whispered as realization set in, her hands trembling. "No..."
    Despite her pleading, her eyes fell on Anakin as he fought a swarm of Yuuzhan Vong, outnumbered and barely alive, but not yet beaten. His dark hair was ruffled and dirty, his face smeared with blood and grime, but there was only calm determination in his eyes as the Yuuzhan Vong continued to come at him, more and more, the odds so hopeless that the Force itself seemed heavy with sorrow.
    The Force swirled around her brother, strong and brilliant, encompassing every fiber of his being. His body was emitting a faint glow, the soft aura of his cells burning out, and the air around him crackled with energy.
    "Anakin," she gasped, her voice breaking. "Anakin, no..."
    She couldn't do this again, she couldn't! How many times had this scene haunted her dreams since that fateful day at Myrkr? How many nights had she awoken in a cold sweat, tears sliding down her face, gasping wildly for air?
    How many times had she reached for her brother only to remember he wasn't there?
    "Oh Force," Tahiri sobbed, as she stumbled up beside Jaina, her face pale and clutching her stomach as if she was going to be sick. "No, please," she begged. "I can't! I can't watch this!"
    Jaina's heart went out to the girl, even as it was breaking at the sight of her baby brothe
    Sorry this one is kind of short, guys- exams start in a few days and I am drowning in the amount of work my profs are handing out. Wish me luck! ;)
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    "Vitorik craag maek," Riina Kwaad whispered a plea to the Gods, and brought her amphistaff down hard at the woman convulsing at her feet.

    A violet blade crackled to life, cutting under the amphistaff sharply and stopping it mere inches from its target.

    Riina glanced down in shock and found herself staring into the blazing eyes of the Jeedai Jaina Solo. Startled, she was taken by surprise when Jaina suddenly shoved hard against their crossed weapons, sending Riina stumbling back, and giving the Jeedai time to spring to her feet, lightsaber held out in front of her in warning.

    "Don't try that again," Jaina said coldly, and Riina could almost see the shadow around her, the same shadow that she had witnessed at Myrkr. "Or you'll loose more than just your balance."

    "Your threats are empty, Jeedai," Riina sneered, hefting her amphistaff back into fighting position. "I will take your life long before you claim mine."

    "We'll see," was all Jaina gave in reply, and then she turned her attention to Tahiri Veila, who lay still on the floor, eyes open and unseeing, tears streaming down her face. Riina felt a slight pang of guilt for the Jeedai child's suffering, but it was necessary. Once she destroyed Jaina Solo, she would relieve Tahiri from the tortured memory of Anakin Solo's death.

    But I cannot free either of us from the pain it brought us, she thought darkly.

    Anakin Solo had been the first person, Yuuzhan Vong or infidel, to truly care for her, and for that Riina would always keep him in her heart. The only other person to ever hold such an honor had been Mezhan Kwaad, but the shaper had been killed by Tahiri. Or had it been Riina herself who struck down her maker? Sometimes it was hard to tell the difference...

    To whatever end, Mezhan Kwaad had only been her creator, but Anakin had been her family.

    And they were both dead.

    I will not join them, Riina vowed once again, her gnarled fists tightening around her amphistaff, as her eyes narrowed, watching the Jeedai who dared to call herself Yun-Harla as she examined Tahiri for any sign of injury. And I will destroy all who stand in my way.

    As soon as Jaina's back was turned, Riina leapt, amphistaff crashing down towards the woman's back, but the Jeedai was able to spin away from the strike, and Riina had to throw herself aside to avoid a deadly slash of a violet blade at her midsection.

    Jaina's eyes narrowed angrily, and the air around them suddenly seemed colder, as if a chill had gone through the Force itself. "If that's the way you want it," the Jeedai snarled, her violet blade ticking side to side in her hands.

    "Korig Yun-Yammka gerisk," Riina murmured. Yun-Yammka give me strength...

    Jaina lunged, moving so fast that all Riina saw was a blur of violet light and streak of black, and if not for her ability to use the Force, Tahiri's gift that had been shared with her, Riina would have been dead on the spot. However, with the Force as her ally, she was able to flip over Jaina's head, narrowly avoiding being skewered on her lightsaber.

    Riina growled and swept her amphistaff back and forth, hacking at Jaina with merciless strikes, and for a moment it seemed that she would catch the Jeedai off balance. But then Jaina snapped the blade around in wide arch, hurling herself at Riina with mercurial speed, and Riina was barely able to get her amphistaff up in time to block it.

    Jaina twisted her wrist, her lightsaber ticking from side to side in a wild web of slashes in her hand, and Riina found herself being driven back. Realizing that unless she did something soon, she would be struck down, Riina suddenly changed tactics, rushing the Jeedai, amphistaff swinging furiously.

    But Jaina brought her blade up to block the strike, shoved hard, and sent Riin
