Scented Garbage Bags

Having just taken out the garbage, I am made to wonder, why exactly do some people [my mother], use scented trash bags?

I figured, OK, the garbage stinks, it could be the egg shells, it could be the cat litter, but once I take it outside, all will be good.

So I put a new bag in the trash, so now the pail smells like Vanilla Cat Litter.

They don't do anything productive, they don't save the environment, and they cost more. Who exactly do these people [with scented trash bags] think they're fooling? Your garbage still stinks, and I sure as hell don't want to stick my face in it any more than with a regular trash bag.

Never heard of them or seen them, but in my opinion, the scent of the garbage will over power the scent of the bag, so its all rather pointless in the end...

 

Garbage bags in general would have been nice back in my original existence in Rome. Ah, we had sewage, but no garbage bags. Har har, Im just glad I kicked before the plauges hit.

 

Scented garbage bags are like putting air fresheners in bathrooms. No matter what, butt will ALWAYS overpower the lemon fresh fields of glade.

My wife buys those scented garbage bags. I don't know why. All our trash ends up smelling like garbage with a touch of baby powder fresh garbage bad scent. This actually complicates the smell, and takes the odor of our garbage to an entire new level. Uber-garbage you might call it, or not, if you're still into that whole "red scare" cold war era feel.

Scented Garbage Bags

Finally an excuse to sniff your trash...

 

A thread on scented trash bags. Lovely. I'm neither for them or against them. However, when my gf makes me change her trash bag, I am pleased by the flower smell. Its almost enjoyable to put in a new bag now. Well, not really.

 

I agree with Cow Girl on this. Believe me, don't waste your time or your money
on scented garbage bags. I don't know, but when the scent of the bag and the
scent of the garbage mix, it smells strong and its nasueating.

 

my MOM has these things too! I hate them! they don't even help much! "Ooo here's a Vanilla scented trash bag, it doesn't help my trash smell any better but let's buy some anyway" hehe really people, don't buy these, they don't help any, it's like scented pens.....why bother?

 

Why do they only make things that eventually smell bad come in scented form? Why don't they make scented T-shirts? That would make sense.

There's been a lot of violence directed at me of late. The other day tomatoes, and now I've been hit over the head so someone could steal my idea. Perhaps it's time for some anger management.

I'm sticking with regular garbage bags...defeats the purpose to make your garbage smell more.
