I can tell you that a new RSA has been chosen to replace me now.

I'm not naming names yet, as it has to be made official and all that.

But you will all find out who it is soon enough.

Come on man, give us a hint. i got a feeling i came in third or fourth, despite my 'man of the people' icon status. i think that bruising battle with halibut over the touch stone issues of bats cost us both votes. We'll see though.

All I will say is, that with the exception of one vote, the winner got all other votes. Twas a clear cut win.

Who said it won't be announced til Monday? It will probably be announced some time today.

 

Perhaps they're waiting for the new person to respond with a "yes"

 

I think it will be announced as soon as (a) they get in contact with the winner, and (b) they submit their details to the owners database. Then they can be promoted, added to the headers, given MS and OFH access and shown the ropes.

I hope whoever says yes gets it.

I didn't expect it to be so one sided, considering how many experienced posters were up for the position? So now the guessing game begins.... I was suprised to see i was second favourite though, and even more suprised to find out that one candidate had recieved every vote bar one. I'm not so sure if i was right with my previous speculation any more? This is exciting isn't it!
