    The problem was never politics; for many it was the way the scenes were executed.

    Personally, I enjoyed them, and I absolutely love Rayencourt.

    Exactly. Politics is a catch all criticism. Seems mostly used by critics who aren't SW fans, or watched SW once, who don't think politics was in the OT.

    The OT had plenty of politics. Its part of the world-building, and without that vital part, A New Hope would feel hollow, and not as realistic.

    The politics i have seen is in the GOT/HOTD and love Andor doing similar to their politics. The Acolyte beginning with that just now

    This. The Imperial politics in ANH is excellently drawn and a major reason why that movie feels so much more authentic and realistic than it’s cheap imitation, TFA.

    I was so mad when TFA pushed the politics back to basically ANH. I was so excited to see the New Republic and then bam it was gone before a single scene.
