    Hello Everyone!!

OK I am considering making Seven of Nine's outfit from Star Trek Voyager for my sister.
I have an EXTREMELY short time frame to do this so I don't know if I actually shall, it will depend on what I can find out how fast.

I will be making the Silver one, here:

OK so I also found this pattern, by kwik sew:

So my question is, does anyone know of a better suggestion for the pattern? I want to make this costume as accurate as possible.

has anyone made this before? Do you have any tips you would like to share?

Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks in advance and God bless!

I don't know much about sewing, but I can tell you a little about the actual costume if you're going for authenticity. The ribbing in the stomach area you see in the picture actually had an underwiring in it similiar to a bra. The actress said that it was terribly uncomfortable and was happy when they decided to change the suit. It's more obvious here

The shoes/boots are actually attached to the costume like here http://www.themchenrys.com/images/mt/sevenofnine.jpg
For make up, I know there's some good info in the book Star Trek Aliens and Artifacts.

    Ok, thank you, DarthGordon!

Phew I probably will postpone this costume for a while... I don't think I'll be ready in time for what we had in mind. However, my questions still stand, as I do intend to do this costume some day! And if not for a real person than for a doll. :)

Thanks again DarthGordon, those tips are very helpfull!

I did hear that a lady here in Adelaide wasnt 'endowed' with natural assets so she sealed a bra up and filled it with wheat, good weight and moved like the real thing......

It was ladysilverspider. They were pockets of pink linen filled with canary millet mix, and built into the suit.

She has some info on her website about the various aspects of her costume. scroll down to see pics:

I really hope this isn't inappropriate, but all I can think of is that line from The 40 Year Old Virgin that ends with "and it feels like a... bag of sand..."

Thank you, everyone, for all your input on this costume!! It has got to be one of the most difficult pattern wise to create from any of the startrek series/movies. Thank you all again!! Someday (I hope sooner) I will make it for my doll at least, and when I do I'll post it up!

    God bless!
