While I held the opinion long before the movies ever came out that Sam was the true hero of the story, though I have had to defend that idea more times than I can count, I would also say that Mr. Woods did an absolutely exceptional job as Frodo Baggins... I know a few super sexy women that got totally lost in those computer enhanced ultra blue eyes of his... and I thought he freakin' rocked and totally stole the show in Sin City, and that says alot considering the performance of Mickey Rourke. But we all have our own opinions.

And I could be wrong, but I think the deluxe pass covers admittance into all....

The Deluxe pass only provides limited Admitance to Anime based activities, whereas the "Anime Pass" being the most expensive of the Lot is basically the "Omni" Pass, it lets you into everything, I myself took that too seriously last year, and went places I was not supposed to go.

If you're a big Anime fan like myself, I suggest getting the Anime Pass, thats what I'm getting, but if you only like it a little go for the Deluxe or one of the lesser passes.

I think its scarier that they weren;t enhanced at all.

I went "behind the scenes" I was freely walking through rooms, because doors weren't locked, its something I do everywhere when I'm not being watched, I'm a wanderer, I get that from my dad, he sort of Encourages it.

I've been "behind the scenes" in so many places 99% I wasn't supposed to be.

Seriously.... I thought I saw something where they said they went in after add enhanced the colours afterward..made the grass greener, etc... and I thought I heard that for certain scenes, they made Elija's eyes more blue... but if they didn't... that's freaky, I am a %100 heterosexual man, but damned if he doesn't have beautiful eyes, lol.

I'm stuck in a dilemma now... I just found out that that my dojo's 12 hour seminar is on the same weekend, and that Sensei Wallace Platt is going to be there... I believe that he is the highest ranking sensei in Canada, and just the possibility of getting a chance to take ukemi from him would be a great honour. I REALLY want to go to SFX, but I also REALLY want to have class with Sensei Platt... I've got crazy decisions to make, either way, I'm not gonna be happy about my choice....it sucks to be a grown-up that has to make his own choices.

Do you guys want to do a group dinner on one of the days during SFX? In the past we've gone to the Spaghetti Factory, might be fun to do that again or try a new restaurant.

    What say you?

I'd love to do a dinner or something after the con. The Armadillo was good, and fairly reasonably priced, though IIRC unless we reserve way in advance they may have some trouble seating a large group. The Spagetti factory is a bit cheaper, and doesn't have as much of a selection, but I would consider it a second choice to the Armadillo.

Dinner question also being approached in this thread.

I'm personally for both a Dinner and a breakfast, but I've got a tight budget as well and I can understand doing only one of them.

    Thanks for voting.

Alas the Ewok costume won't be making the trip. The body needs some mending and I don't have the time.

I WILL have the head and hood with me, though, and I'll keep it stashed at my table. if anyone wants a photo op with the Ewok, just poke me and I'll put the head on. The head is the best pat of the costume anyway :D

I also want to travel light as there is a subway travel in the cards and I'd like to bring my big pants and have room for stuff that I will most certainly buy while I'm there (I'm hoping for a good price for a huge red dragon and I want to get some dishes in chinatown. Don't laugh. I need more rice bowls and chop sticks). If I had enough time to play I'd probably bring my D&D minis and get my ass royally kicked by those who have more money than I.

I'm probably going to get to the con around noonish on Saturday. Are we going to have a common meeting point?

Edit: Amy, I know some fairly reasonably priced places in Chinatown for dishwear, provided you aren't looking for anything too elaborate. Let me know if you want directions.

Dan: TTrek people I can ask around for. I know the TTMB (Toronto Trek Message Board) are having oodles of dinners and get-to-gethers during the weekend as well. Friday evening we're off to watch one of the members play in her band (I completely don't know where this is, but I'm just tagging along).

Saturday there's the ninja lunch, and then afterwards the masq we're meeting up at the Lonestar.

Sunday I do believe that some of them are eyeing the breakfeast, but there's nothing planned for the evening. I can ask around if you'd care.

Well I dont think I will be at SFX this year. I will be at the breakfest, I cant miss breakfest with Kenny. Man I wish I could afford the whole con this year but if I want to have a place to live next month I better try to save a few bucks to supplement my poor next pay check

To bad Dan! But SFX can put a huge dent in your wallet/bank account. I'm just curious how much I got paid today...

And Ninja Lunch... yes the stealth is with us. *nods* I can't find anything witty to say to that. :p
