During the Battle of Endor, Admiral Firmus Nantz commands the Restoration (he did work with Lando in Legends so why not?) and the Ardent was commanded by Admiral Ragab. During the Battle of Exegol, Syub Snunb commands the Antares Six, which was among the Sullustan Fleet led by Snunb and Aril Nunb.
One of my pet theories is that Dr. Evazan had a run in with Obi-Wan at some point back in the Republic days and Obi-Wan caused his facial deformity (probably used the Force to deflect a chemical attack back at him). This is why he goes ballistic when Obi-Wan steps up to him in the cantina. Another is that Rey's father had no idea he was a clone or the son of Palpatine and his wife was assigned by the Empire to watch him but she fell in love with him, told him the truth and they went on the run together.
Well, i mean... honestly, with as many friggin' Sith empires/lineages/traditions/cults, are there any real guidelines or rules? Seems all you need to be is Force-sensitive, get really, REALLY angry, and then start needing to order Visine by the barrel-full. Oh, and start making BRIAN BLESSED! look calm and sedate.
Rendilli developed the Victory III-class Star Destroyer as an answer to the MC series, even using MC philosophies. When the Empire collapsed, they rebranded it as the Republic-class and the Empire didn’t get any. In some quarters the RSD continued to be referred to as the VSD, and any VSD constructed after the loss of Byss by Rendilli or Kuat was in-fact an RSD. When the Empire took back Kuat during the Dark Empire War they rebranded the Defender-class as the Nebula-class and reworked some of the project. Very few original DSD designs were constructed, and the New Republic liked the NSD so much they continued the project in that vein. The Empire often lamented that the NSD would have been perfect for them and if they’d held onto Kuat for a bit longer would have had the nexus of a powerful new Imperial Navy.
The Fallanassi are a fraud! Once they existed, but after they had been betrayed by Isela Talsava to the Empire, her daughter Akanah was who brought them down completely. Akanah assumed a new name and trained under the Empire before rejoining the Fallanassi and infiltrating them to control them and take them over if needed, to which it didn't come under the Emperors reign though. After Endor though, Akanah would make use of her Fallanassi powers, lies and lure Luke into her trap/lap. Why? Because the new name the Empire gave her was Shira Ellan Colla Brie, Hand of the Emperor, Dark Lady of the Sith, Vader's Apprentice and the longtime undercover operative in the Rebellion and love of Luke Skywalker. With illusion powers both Lumiya and Akanah are experts at, they can fool Luke easily and did so plenty of times. He never noticed they are one and the same. When she used a fake-story about his mother, she had the bait and him close finally. But no story can hold up in the long run and she lost him again, but her cover was not blown and so she had an angle in the future, carefully biding her time as Akanah of the Fallanassi. After Wialu passed away at the end of the NJO, Akanah took control of the Fallanassi and eagerly awaited Jacen Solo's arrival to train with her, which he did at some point. They had quite a fallout when he left again, but in many guises among many Force cults she had been a part of in her infiltratious career for the Emperor, she had step by step influenced him to divert from the Jedi Path a bit more and adopt more and more arcane practices and believes, until he would be ready for Betrayal and her true face as Lumiya in LOTF, when he met her again, as his final teacher this time around. Thus the longterm plan of Lumiya after failing to fool Luke into staying, nor Leia taking Wialus invitation to come join them when she is ready, she targeted the next generation and Jacen Solo who ever since the Shadow Academy had been known to be receptive to her manipulations.
Lumiya survived her beheading of course. As said, illusion powers do you wonders as survival strategy! Gesendet von meinem FP3 mit Tapatalk
I doubt Mon Mothma wanted to touch that with a ten foot pole but I have the feeling that she restored the title of Supreme Chancellor WITH its original emergency powers so that might be more of a distinction without a difference than many people were comfortable with. Mas Amedda DID declare himself Emperor pro-tempore. Mas Amedda was struck almost immediately by how utterly furious this mad the Empire's die-hard loyalists as not only was he victim of speciism but outright hatred for the majority of decisions he'd made as the Emperor's Grand Vizier. The ISB taking him into custody wasn't actually a closet coup, though they certainly did supervise his decisions, but also legitimately protecting him from assassination until they could figure out who to have Amedda appoint as the replacement Emperor. (Gallius Rax was actually their last choice as Acting Director Ysanne Isard despised the man) This despite the fact that Palpatine had left the daily administration of the Empire to him and approved of most of his decisions. He had not figured out Palpatine had done so to take a great deal of focus off himself as well as cultivate the "helpless puppet" image that was mentioned in the original Star Wars novelization. Indeed, it was a popular theory he'd been senile by Alderaan among those who weren't fanatical die hard Imperials who believed (ironically correctly) he was some sort of superhuman being. Indeed, some people believed Mas Amedda was responsible for many of the Empire's atrocities and he spent decades failing to try to rehabilitate his image. Ironically, investigations of war crimes generally determined Mas Amedda wasn't guilty and was in fact incredibly ignorant of the Empire's true inner workings even though he was a Sith cultist. The majority of the real work was done by Sate Pestage and Ars Dangor (Mas Amedda's aids) by the time of Alderaan's destruction. Mas Amedda correctly pointed out Operation Cinder was the absolute worst way to stabilize the galaxy as he was much more into "bread and circuses."
@Charlemagne19 The Empire was a very weak regime as far as I was concerned, but because the Clone Wars beat the spirit out of a good chunk of the population no one was really in the mood to keep fighting. Basically the Empire didn't dominate because it was strong but because the opposition was weak. But once the opposition started getting it's act together then the Empire was in trouble, and then once you got rid of the Emperor, Vader and the Death Star then poof everything keep a very weak regime together was pretty much gone. In my mind the Empire was a personalist regime with very little institutional basis behind it. Ah the contradictions of Dictatorship. The guy in charge isn't bad it's just his inner circle, also the guy in charge is a superhuman who can do no wrong. lol
Unlike the Emperor, Darth Vader didn't think much about the Death Star(s). He believed in the Force and cared little for technological terrors. As a result, he'd likely have focused less on massive planet-destroyers and more on the power that Star Destroyers and soldiers of the Empire could provide him as well as to extent the voice of the people. In a way, parts of Anakin seeped deep enough into the Sith Lord as well as his guilt of being responsible for Padme and his child(ren)'s deaths in his mind made him...well...less Sith. Unlike Palpatine, Vader saw usefulness in mundane people. Look at keeping Piett alive as opposed to killing him like Ozzel and Needa (and Canonhaus).
Apparently in Star Wars, unless we see the character get physically killed, see the corpse, have a character see the corpse and confirm they’re dead, then anything goes.
Oh, this I believe. I very much believe in a Less Charismatic Successor Syndrome in real life politics. Basically, whenever a leader who's at all charismatic and popular is replaced by a successor, that successor finds it impossible to fill their predecessor's shoes, largely because nobody could fill these shoes in a way that would satisfy the followers: it's like asking a step-parent to fill the vacuum left when the original parent died. They can succeed the parent, but they'll never replace them. So you end up with a myth where all the bad things that both leaders did get attributed to the successor, and all the good things that they did get attributed to the original. (This despite the fact that there's usually little to no difference in their actual policies). Mas Amedda, being an alien, as well as a career bureaucrat rather than anything people find inspiring like a general or a wartime leader, is an absolutely perfect scapegoat for Less Charismatic Successor Syndrome. Yes to this headcanon, with the additional headcanon that the same people who blamed Mas Amedda and refused to blame Palpatine, were also convinced that Grand Moff Tarkin was also innocent and a great leader who totally should have succeeded Palpatine and led the Empire down a glorious road. After all, Tarkin has class, charisma, a war record as a hero of the Clone Wars, a lot of political savvy, not to mention an imposing stature and a British accent. The chattering classes on Coruscant love him, and consider him to be everything that's right with the Empire, an embodiment of military glory, technocratic efficiency, and law and order rather than the more weird and esoteric aspects of the Empire that creep people out (Darth Vader, for crying out loud). (Ironically, those same chattering classes also loathe Thrawn, partly because he's a political neophyte who doesn't flatter them and partly because, like Mas Amedda, he's an alien. Even though Thrawn in reality is far closer to their vision of a devoted military technocrat than Tarkin is).
All concept art that never made it past the concept art stage represents something 'real' in universe.
If someone managed to survive Vader 'disciplining' them and filed an HR report, Palpatine would directly intervene and force Vader to go through with all the paperwork and legalese, then protect whoever filed it. Because he's a petty little piece of crap who loves messing with everyone. Palpatine had a list titled, "Evil stuff I'm gonna do when I become emperor." It ranged from the extremely petty to the horrific. It includes but is not limited to... 1. Stealing candy from a baby. 2. Kicking a pet. 3. Kicking said pet into a ventilation fan. 4. Wiping out a species. Doesn't matter if it's sapient or not. 5. Loudly yawning during concerts and tossing popcorn at the performers. 6. Picking one person at random in the bureaucracy and making their life a living hell, driving them to suicide.
Odd one But after Exar Kun the ancient Sith Lords kinds just gave up on all future and present day Sith. Kun was sorta their last hurrah and after that they were like...Yeah none of these other Sith are up to our standards.
During the Evacuation of D'Qar, the Resistance received what they believed to be a contact from the remnants of the New Republic Defence Fleet operating in the Mid Rim. Leia dispatched General Cypress and Major Taslin Brance on one of their light courier ships, taking with them several techs, pilots and droids in case it was a trap. Among those pilots was Iolo Arana, Yolo Ziff, Niv Lek and Theo Meltsa, techs include "Commodore" Meta, Tabala Zo and Peet Deretalia and droids included R-3DO and R2-KT. It is unknown if the mission was successful, though this courier ship team would later rejoin with the Resistance after the Battle of Crait, though was divided between their main base on Ajan Kloss and their outposts on the Junk Moon of Anoat and other places by the time of the Battle of Exegol. During the attack on the Resistance Fleet at Oetchi, Admiral Statura was aboard the Vigil checking supplies with Vice Admiral Jotis when the ship was destroyed. Meanwhile, aboard the Anodyne, Vice Admiral Resdox was badly injured and left in a coma while Doctor Kalonia was killed. Resdox was able to be moved to the Raddus though was aboard one of the twenty-four transport shuttles destroyed by the Supremacy. One of the reasons for Vice Admiral Holdo effectively blowing off Poe when he demanded to know what was going on was because the number of her pilots and bombardiers he'd gotten killed at D'Qar. It took all her self-control not to toss him out the nearest airlock despite knowing how it would hurt Leia. Before meeting up with Finn and Rose, Poe had tried to convince General Ematt and Commander D'Arcy to let him in on what was going on, only to be told that unless he knew who the First Order spy aboard their ships was (because it wasn't like anyone knew they were tracked by a supercomputer aboard the Supremacy and Finn wasn't very forthcoming, was he?), it was between Holdo, themselves and C-3PO as they at least hadn't gotten any of the admiral's people killed. This angered Poe more than anything, thus factoring into his decision to mutiny. Holdo's own decision to keep it to herself also made her seem untrustworthy but it was a factor due to the number of people she found out when she came aboard that attempted to flee into escape pods that would likely have been captured by the First Order (though it was more likely they'd have been target practise and not worth capturing).
I can see that, especially in their interactions with Sidious. Do you think they approved of Krayt and then he went and screwed up everything with his One Sith spiel?
Every concept art is something real inuniverse. Every Fanart/Fiction is inuniverse fiction. I want to see more of the Rebel-Imperial cyberware and spamcampaigns X-Wing: Alliance hinted at! Gimme Ghent heading inuniverse Anonymous before being recruited into the government and intel services. Imagine how annoyed Vader is to get spamemails in the billions, half of which are images of Padmé to taunt him (secretly sent by Palpatine). The other half is troublemakers spamming him. Imagine how Winter, aka Targeter, and other handmaidens of Leia helped her to get Metal Bikini footage off the Holonet and rebrand her as Huttslayer Leia! The Imperial Remnant went to the Hutts to use their powerful Holo-skills and Fakery (Planet of Twilight) to discredit the Rebels in public by creating fake holos and compromising imagery about the Rebel leadership and their families. With NR anti-cyber units trying to take it down or correct their public image. In general it is fun how the Internet evolution in real life was mirrored in the GFFA... from early newsgroups to the modern Holonet as catch-all medium. From simple Nokia style cellphone comm units to modern smartphone-tablet comms. I suspect the Arrandas used the Baobab Holonet to get Jedi intel rather than the Imperial controlled one. Also I headcanon that the Resistance reactivated or used again the Baobab Network. And yes I headcanon that EVERY possible Bitizen name combo is canon inuniverse and we actually have thus knowledge of at least billions of inuniverse names and characters lacking a story. Wook, give them a page for each! Spoilered for Size only: Spoiler And yes... Luke killed ALL the Bitizens... shame on him! They were nice people: Spoiler
