@RogueWhistler. We've a lot of non-human/Red Sith Darth's after the Cold War. Darth Kharrid, Darth Atroxia, in theory your character, etc, etc. Quite a few by the end of the Second Galactic War. The Atlas does say that the Republic border pulls back to Iridonia, Ord Mantell and Ithor after the Kanz Disorders, so I am inclined to suggest that the Galactic Wars include the Darth Desolous Conflict circa 3,500 BBY, but we'll see I guess. Utapau was taken by the Vitiate Sith so I somewhat supposed Desolous flows from that, using what's left of the Southern Empire. But it depends how long ToR lasts methinks. However I do headcanon that the Paecian Empire is made up of former Imperials.
I don't know why I didn't think of the Sith Inq, that's a pretty obvious one. How does the war lasting past 3500 BBY follow from the Republic borders? I love the history sections of the Atlas, but I'm pretty bad with maps. If SWTOR ends without concluding the conflict, I suppose it could go on for centuries, but for the sake of its story I hope that doesn't happen.
I have no issues with it being left open ended, if only because the Darth Desolous Conflict can be suitably final. But the borders withdrawing to the Mid Rim is fairly useful for allowing a Sith-Imperial Remnant to exist in the north until 2000 BBY, with the Sith tribes there unified by Darth Ruin. The Bane era maps show the Republic hasn't returned to the northern Rim, too. So I like to take it the Republic just never returned to the region, not that they had massive inroads into the north until 1000 BBY. I headcanon... 1. The humans of the Empire acknowledge defeat, and basically outnumber the Red Sith entirely by 3,500 BBY. The Stygian Caldera has been lost, the Hydian Way secured by the Republic. 2. From Paecia, the newly inaugurated Paecian Empire signs the treaty. What remaining loyal Sith exist are required to serve as the Kareenth Impalers. 3. The Empire internalises Sith conflict which becomes tribal, completely detached from their politics, and the Republic gets to declare that it's won the war and the Paecians overthrew the Sith. 4. The Outer Rim-Mid Rim border defines the two regimes. 5. The Paecian Empire collapses circa 2992 BBY after a brief expansionist period. 6. The remnants percolate until Darth Ruin unifies them.
We know so little about the Desolous conflict that without some kind of expansion, like a final cinematic, I'd be disappointed with that as the ending. As resistant as I am to tying Des into SWTOR, I wouldn't mind them using Darth Phobos. A rogue Sith being taken down by both factions sounds very SWTOR, and the game has costumes just as silly-looking as hers. 1600 years is a long time for her cult to persist, though.
naw I don't think daughter fits. and obviously Onrai's generosity is over blown like many other gods are over the years . id stick to tilotny being onrai but thats just me
Revan told the Jedi that he redeemed Ajunta Pall spirit but the Jedi never believed him for them it was a story created by Revan to make the Sith look Good
Phobos beating up Sith on Korriban does make it seem SWTOR era. Sionists, Kunites, Revanites, Cult of Ragnos, Phobos commanding the remnants of the Dread Masters (as she’s named after the Phobos Devices)… plenty of tribes for Ruin to unify.
Some passing thoughts on a One Canon-esque deal. Basically, the Sequels happened in Legends in 35 ABY in very broad strokes, concurrently with the Dark Nest Crisis. Jacen, as part of his search into various Force Groups winds up joining the most recent incarnation of the Knights of Ren, taking on the title of Kylo Ren as a prelude to his later status as Darth Caedus. Much like Luke, his intention is to be a double-agent to look into who this Snoke guy is and what the mysterious First Order is, an old Imperial Fleet that fought on Jakku and then escaped into the Unknown Regions, going on unnoticed as the Imperial Warlord period raged. Exegol Palpatine was Abeloth before she could fully break away from the Maw. A Snoke came over her in the Maw, and she used him as a meat puppet to get to some of Palpatine's old projects. In the end, Palpatine ditched Exegol for Byss, but remains of the project still stuck on there. So Abeloth pretends to be a returning Palpatine much like she took on the image of Callista Ming. TLJ-TROS Luke is either a clone, or Luke was hit with a bit of depression before coming out and having the Jedi help beat the Killiks. Basically Luke would have had a very busy 2 years...
Posted this in another thread a while ago: "How's about this for a theory...Palpatine isn't really all that powerful on his own. His main talent is in manipulating others. What he can also do is draw power from his apprentices. So during the duel with Yoda, he leeches Force energy away from Anakin to save his own skin...hence why he loses to Mace, then wins against Yoda...and why Anakin thinks he could make that jump over Obi-Wan but doesn't."
Nuru Kungurama lost his ability to use the Force around the age of fourteen, as established re:Force-sensitive Chiss in the Thrawn Ascendancy books, and escaped Order 66 with the help of Big Gizz when Breakout Squad turned against him. Since he no longer had the Force, Nuru evaded detection by the Empire and ended up changing his name to Spiker, joining Gizz's swoop gang.
The attack on Mustafar that killed Lord Corvax is the same one which saw the Kunite Sith attack the planet in Legends. The Kyber Crystal mountain is what the Jedi defended, and Sith wanted, having brought with them the Aeon Engine to resurrect dead Sith. The Kyber Crystals detonation wrecked the solar system, but it was Lady Corvax who killed the planet when she used the Brightstar Crystal (a unique Kyber) in the Aeon Engine and perverted life.
This perfectly can also contribute to why some people mistakenly believed he had no Force powers but was controlled by others as a puppet Emperor as he can blame it on them always. And others could fear they likewise might be controlled by an unknown entity and rather complied to not be driven likle a vessel themselves. Basically Palpatine pretending to be a Snoke. Any Midichlorian reading will show his weakness despite his temporary power boosts as you well explained. Fits with him leeching off of the Dyad in TROS also. And why he was so reclusive whenever Vader was far away as he was not always reliably able to leech off of anybody. Needing Emperor's Hands etc. even in Anakin's absence to leech of them albeit weaker sources of power. Like he Force Vampire drained kidnapped Jedi kids too in TCW. You hit somthing there, it works well! Perfect! The Bright Star reminds me always of something Ewok cartoonish and has me imagine Green Mustafar as akin to Endor in life and shamanism. In the same way Dathomir's mists, Anzat's soup-mists and Endors mists attract witchcraft, necromancers and soulworkers, Mustafar may have been strong in this energy source for mistweaver cultures. The Anzati believe the mist to be the disembodied souls, joining the soup of all souls. The witches of Dathomir use it to create objects out of thin air, or to revive the dead, etc. Even Endorian magick uses bright crystals like the Sunstar or the Shadowstone, which probably are relatives of the Bright Star crystal. So with Sith and Dathomiri witches skilled in reviving the dead from the mists/wells of souls, no wonder Jedi and Sith got attracted to that place which not only was rich in life and the Force but also Kyber like Jedha and Ilum. And the Chu-Gon-Dar cube is another piece of the puzzle. As a transmogrification device in holocron shape made by the Jedi Master of the same name (SW Galaxies: Trials of Obi Wan expansion) it also can create any kind of objects out of thin air if you only place some artifacts/crystals in combination with it. Kinda like the Witch analogue of creating objects from the mists, this device is a kyber-tech version of the same principle from 5300BBY when the Jedi settled Mustafar and dabbled in such arts! The Aeon Engine to me seems to be a counterpart of the Chu-Gon-Dar cube technology-wise that instead of objects can assemble life from thin air, aka resurrect the dead. If only Ronin could see that by 5300BBY technology could mimick what Force and Sith Witches were needed to do 7000BBY... and around 4000 BBY between Kunites and Jedi, Corvax attempted this probably based on the 5300s technology rediscovered. From there it is only a short step to other applications of Kyberbased assembly and disassembly technology. Like Magic teleportation hoops, royal teleportation chambers on Alderaan, or gigantic versions like World Devastator factories able to digest and assemble anything, like a miniaturized Starforge.
Very nice! I've had a similar idea for a little while now. I'll add that I have assumed that Nuru Kungurama/Spiker is a Shadow Child for the 'Nuru clan per DNT establishing the term. Who are the 'Nuru if Thrawn's birth family were the Kivu? My current working theory is that 'Nuru signifies his paternal line and 'Ardok signifies his maternal line. His sister's birthname is Kivu'rik'ardok, and they are blood siblings but do not share the 'Nuru suffix. Thrawn's father's suffix was 'Nuru and his mother's was 'Ardok. So, prior to the creation of the Empire of the Hand, the 'Nuru are his paternal cousins. Sev'eere'nuru is female, but I propose that she identified with her father's lineage because she was either an only child or she did it for the prestige. Some Chiss will prefer bloodline affiliation, others prefer adopted familial affiliation. It's a big Ascendancy, two or more cultural modes are possible at once. Once the Empire of the Hand is established, Nuru(odos) proliferate. I imagine this is because at this point, Thrawn's relatives are Imperializing their names and affiliations so that paternal bloodline supersedes their adopted family altogether. Shawn'kyr'nuruodo (Cheunh: Awnkyrnu) becomes Shawnkyr Nuruodo, for example. This is similar to Timur claiming relation to Genghis Khan through a common paternal ancestor despite not actually being a direct descendant of Genghis Khan.
I’ve had that Nuru headcanon for ages too! Great minds think alike. Also I headcanon that there were only ever 15 Imperial Advisors. Because of Interim Ruling Council numbers, mainly. At some point after Shadows of the Empire, Palpatine revealed the second Death Star plan to High Command and this meeting was attended by… Spoiler The Imperial High Command Emperor Palpatine Darth Vader Grand Vizier Amedda Grand Vizier Pestage Head of State Ars Dangor The Advisors (15) Sim Aloo Janus Greejantus Sly Moore Scarev Quest Kren Blista-Vanee Ragez D’Asta Bregius Golthan Alec Pradeux Crueya Vandron Rodin Hilan Verpalion Paltr Carvin Challer Plumba Nefta Sa-Di Fleet Admirals (2) Rax Piett Grand Moff and Grand Admirals Tigellinus - 1st Oversector Grant - 20th Grand Admirals (11) Ishin-Il-Raz Makati Declann Pitta Grunger Takel Teshik Syn Thrawn Batch Zaarin Grand Moffs (20) Jerjerrod - Death Star Kaine - Outer Rim 2nd Oversector - Dargon 3rd - Traeda 4th - Dureya 5th - Gann 6th - Weblin 7th, 9th and 16th - Dunhaussen, Muzzer, Thistleborn 8th - Vellam (and unnamed replacement) 10th - Zsinj 11th - Nivers 12th - Selit 13th - Hissa 14th - Ravik (killed just before Endor and not replaced) 15th - Wilkadon (replacement for Kintaro) 17th - Hauser 18th - Tavira 19th - Randd Grand General Malcor Brashin Director of Imperial Intelligence Ysanne Isard Supreme Prophet Kadann Grand Inquisitor Ja’ce Yiaso
Palpatine cared for Plagueis more that he would admit and he was like his father figure that he never had with Cosinga in his dark mind he respect him the only ones that were close to Palpatine and Plagueis relationship was Darth Vader Sly Moore and Mara Jade
Mara Jade has no parentage because she is a gender-swapped clone of Palpatine himself (the Omega deal kinda). Remember, he was a redhead when younger! PS: In canon Luke met her, but when he found out she is genderswapped Palpatine dating kinda was off. Didn't stop Lando and Kyle though despite knowing
I would love to think that Mara was a biological daughter or granddaughter better than a Clone but i dont know its weird that she could be related to Triclops and Ken
The reason the Supremacy hid near to stars was to avoid the Empire of the Hand finding it. The Empire of the Hand was aware of the First Order but thought it a pathetic remnant of hardliners. They were more concerned about the presence the Attendants in the First Order because they suspected someone of manipulating the Grysk and First Order. Little did they know that the Attendants originated from Exegol, and Palpatine was playing the Unknown Regions like a fiddle for years. That being said, the Grysk and First Order were not under his direct control and they did surprise him, much like Daala. The Grysk foray into Known Space was not apart of his plans whatsoever, nor was the gassing of the Deep Core warlords. The prototype of the Supremacy, the Megador, being swept up by Pellaeon was deeply infuriating. And so, Palpatine made sure to exert as direct control over the First Order using Snoke, and when he was sure the New Republic would not notice (in the middle of the Yuuzhan Vong assault on Coruscant), and with the Empire of the Hand distracted by the Chiss Civil War that Palpatine had caused - by sabotaging the Chiss controls over the Killiks - he had Snoke smash the Empire of the Hand and secure the heart of the Unknown Regions.
I'd average Grand Generals as 6, I guess, but with potential losses (especially if you include Tagge) leading to one or two replacements, especially by time of Palpatine's return (DE1) or in Isard's tenure. Advisors may get expanded on further, but some were probably more like Court peripherals, Counts, minor Lords etc. Oh, and Vidian, maybe. At some stage Cronal was pulling Intelligence's strings too, of course (behind the Ubiqtorate) PS, hope your Covid is easing. I had a mild case last year, myself.
After saying goodbye to Luke in 13 ABY, Callista wandered the space lanes, looking for a way to finish off the Empire. Her search led her to the Maw and after months of of searching every nook and cranny of the black hole cluster, she found Sinkhole Station and the Mind Drinkers. There, she began to meditate in the hopes of rediscovering her connection to the Light side of the Force. Many months of meditating brought her close to Abeloth and one day, in a trance, she found herself at the Lake of Apparitions. Waiting in the mists at the far end of the lake was a handsome, blonde figure that she though was Luke. Entranced, Callista began to walk toward the Bright Man in the Mists. After what felt like an eternity, she reached the powerful figure and embraced him, believing she’d somehow found Luke in a different time and place. But like many before her, she had been deceived and the last thing she felt as an autonomous being was cold, slick tentacles sliding into her nose and mouth and the last thing she saw was a broad, lipless mouth with dozens of razor-sharp teeth and a pair of eyes so deep they looked like bottomless wells with a burning white sun at their depths. Now, Callista Masana, you will never be alone again. Now and forever, you will be part of Abeloth.
Empire of the Hand was split between the Chiss and the Imperial Remnant gradually. Initially, the Chiss absorbed the lower worlds controlled by the EoTH, while after a Hand Fleet supported Jagged over Exodo II, the northern worlds close to the Imperial Remnant, such as Oristrom, Kariek and Nirauan would end up part of the expanded Remnant, later to become the Fel Empire. The Empire of the Hand ceased formally existing as an entity, but EoTH officers and their descendants did become an unofficial deep state within the Empire. By the time of Legacy, they're heavily associated with Hogrum Chalk. Chalk, while not a big fan of Roan Fel, didn't ACTUALLY want him to end up dead. He, along with Roan himself, actually believed that Maladi's virus would only wipe out the Sith. While Chalk had a beef with Roan over the death of his sister, he had a much more grandiose ambition - a galactic ruler ready to do anything in their power to assure peace, a successor to Thrawn's rhetoric. Chalk will try to mold Marasiah in this line of thought, and conflicts between them are inevitable. On that note, the Fel Empire as a GREY entity is actually quite revisionist, going by this bit of lore, they have actually began revising the image of Palpatine. This is because its easier to just accept that part of their history and downplay Palpatine's evil in the eyes of the Imperial public. While Jagged I is definitely not much of a Palpatinist, its possible that this wasn't the case for his son, and Roan's father. Jagged's son/Roan's father could've been actually very taken in by Imperial history, and may have arranged the alliance with the One Sith in his last few days in power. Some form of coping quotes by average Imperial supporters of Legacy could be as follows; "Well, Alderaan wasn't REALLY authorized by Emperor Palpatine, he probably would've stopped it if only the bureaucracy wasn't in the way. Thankfully with the Moffs we have none of that!" "Well actually, Tarkin's intent was to just destroy a small base on Alderaan. No one really knew of the Death Star's capabilities, its clear its destructive power was coveted by those proto-Rebels, Dooku's Separatists." "Well really, Alderaan was a military target. Plus there were a lot of civilians on the Death Star and the Rebellion slaughtered millions of them!" On the Chiss, they've become more closely aligned with the Imperials after the influx of half the former Empire of the Hand. Considering they help construct certain Imperial ships, like the TIE Predator and later on the Sith-Imperial Clawcraft and they hold a Moff on the Moff Council, the Chiss Ascendancy has become the vanguard of the Empire of the Unknown Regions. As in SWTOR, quite a lot of Chiss that aim for a more expansive career go over to the Imperials and become intelligence agents. Sometimes, its difficult to see whether the Felpire had vassalized the Chiss, or whether the Chiss are using the Empire as a shield. Imperials managing to wrest GA influence over places like the Chiss and Hapes, who have seen the autocratic Empire as much more befitting of their own autocratic societies is one of the reasons, along with the Imperial Mission, why the Empire was actually winning the Cold War.
Joruus C'baoth used X1, X2 and Galen Marek clone as main inspiration to create Luuke also the Galen Marek clone experiment made Palpatine to perfect his clone bodies and that these were compatible with the Force transfer essence
