I was wondering how large the Kotor ships were..The republic ones with the Cannons and the Leviathan Class Destroyers ( I dunno if they are called this...But they kinda look like weird SD's) And under what kinda of class could the Republic Starships me categorized?

What are those cannons on the Republic ships called. (They seem kinda large for Battery cannons.)

And what ships do we see?

We saw the "G-Wing" (Bastila's craft) Would it be classified as a fighter? Or more as a transport?

What are the fighters we see? We see the Sithfighters and another strange looking craft from Malaks army.

And we see the Republic fighters, lets call them Gamma Wings for simplicity cause of their "Y" Shape.

And something similiar to the Slave 1.

Is there anywhere any info about these ships? Or not?

Sorry if it doesnt make too much sense...Im kinda sleepy @_@

Sadly, the KOTOR era ships have little or no supplemental material available.

I suspect Malak's ship was decent sized, akin to a VSD or so.

I'd call Bastila's G-wing a very fast personal transport, more of a flying sports car than a fighter.

We see various Sith ships that look like support cruisers on both Manaan [its the ship you use to get to the Sith base] and taking off from the Star Forge [when you run through the corridor with all the chain guns in it].

What was the second Republic cruiser? I can only remember the hammerhead Corvettes.

    Here:

    Hammerhead

    Other ship

about the other sith ships (the one you use on Manaan) in one of the other docking bays the sith say they are loading kolto onto the ships and the only ones in the bay are the same as the transport, so your probably right saying its a sort of shuttle/light freighter.

Someone compiled a compendium of all TOTJ-era starships.

You'll find very god pics and info there, if anyone knows where to surface it for you.

I saw a pic of some kind of star destroyer-looking Sith capital ship in a thread awhile back- can anyone link a pic? Scanning through pics from Jedi Starfighter, I came across the thought that Toth's capital ship from that game looked similar to what I recall from that KOTOR pic.

    Do you mean this ship?

    [image=http://www.shinforce.com/xbox/reviews/StarWarsKOTOR/wp3-KOTOR-0640.jpg]

Well if we take it for granted that the Sith capital ships are roughly the same size as a VSD. How big would those Republic Capitalships be, the hammerheads.

And i knew about those others, but they seem like Corvettes.

There seems to be a certain distinctive difference in warship design between The Sith War and KOTOR. Though the ships are narrow like corvettes, they seem very different...

Yeah that's the pic, but nevermind, looks like I was wrong- mistook the "over-under" split for a side-by-side split...

Bears a superficial resemblance to the Trafed freighter in the end of Stark Hyperspace comic, but no the familiar I-class one.

Looks a bit similar to the Trade Federation ship in Prelude to Rebellion...

The Star Wars website laid down some specs for the Leviathan. It is an interdictor with 20 Quad-Lasers, 2 Ion cannons and 4 grav-well generators.

It is a Republic ship by the way, and it's 600m long.

Which seems to beg the question - are the other Leviathan type ships seen in KotOR Interdictors too, or warship versions based around the same basic hull design?

Looks like the Sith fighters have twin ion engines. Wonder if this is the earliest prototype TIE design?

And I think the Leviathan was modded to Interdictor status. After all, if an Imp Interdictor had to have 4 huge generators to power it, it must have needed even bigger generators 4000 years earlier. Im guessing thats how Carth identifies the Leviathan from so far away, as it doesnt seem to have any specific markings on it.

    Then again, im just guessing.

Oh, and does anyone else think 600m seems a bit small for the ship? After all, thats the same as a Katana fleet dreadnuaght, and I always thought of them as much smaller.

I don't think 600m is considered short. It was long for that era and huge. Compare that ship with the Republic battleships in the Great Sith War, it is a real great leap in technology.

The only thing is that the Leviathan doesn't have the tell-tale domes that contain the grav-well generators.

I was thinking that they were either a different shpe of included in the main section of the ship. Maybe its something crazy like the two extended bits on the front are the generators?

Then what are the strange alien type vessels they talk about. I'm sure someone metioned they were of an unknown type never seen before, maybe Dorak said it.

Judging by the size and guns of the Leviathan I think it is probably just called a Sith Dreadnought. I think that name was mentioned once by somebody.

There are more to space battles than just a Sith warship and Sith fighter. There could've been things offscreen . . . the way quality in most of the NJO was offscreen. :D

That's what I thought too. But apparently the Leviathan was a Republic ship.

Or Sith Battleship. That was the name accorded to the battleships used by the Sith during the Great Hyperspace War.

Naga Sadow's own flagship was used by Exar Kun during the Great Sith War for a few sorties, the last being the destruction of 7 stars near Ossus.

Carth Onasi clearly called the Leviathan "Sith Interdictor Ship".

The odd thing is this. Not all the Republic's Leviathan ships could have defected to the Sith, so how the heck did the Republic come only with a bunch of small crusiers and frigates, and maybe gunships to destroy the Star Forge, and it was stated as ALL the ships the Republic could muster.

The Star Forge must be one hell of "Kuat Drive Yards" of the era to be able to churn out hundreds of Leviathan class interdictor battleships.
