Should Anakin have had a "Signature" move?

Do you think Anakin should have had a particular move that he ALWAYS used to finish off his foes?

Yeah, his signature move is a flying somersaulting Force leap against an opponent on slightly higher elevation. Ideally, his lightsaber strikes his opponent at the end of the leap, but it's known to mess up slightly at times.

No-one else did, why should Anakin?

I don't know. You know how Kenobi had his little two-fingered-fork point thing going in the PT. Perhaps Anakin should have had a signature move.

Signature move? Two words: Force Pout.

    No?

OK, I confess. That isn't it. It's actually the lock-eyes-straight-ahead-and-furrow-brow-to-look-rather-angry stare! That's enough to disarm the strongest opponent. Even Sidious didn't want to be looking at that every day: hence ... black helmet. ;)

I've seen Anakin's signature move. He wrote his autograph on a piece of paper that blew away. It was a sandstorm that did it. Remember: sandstorms are very, very dangerous. Would you like a flying autograph to hit you in the face? Boy, you should have seen that signature move! In fact, it landed in Obi Wan's face and the bemused Jedi was rumoured to have said: "Always on the move!"

Thank you. I'm here all week.

Maybe like a special overhand saber throw or something like that?

I think it would have been completely stupid for Anakin to have a signature move. And, quite frankly, I don't think it is even possible. Each foe presents a different challenge and you cannot assume that against ever opponent that it would work or that you would even have an oppertunity to use it. SW is not the WWE. But, I think Anakin has a signature stlye, which suits him well. The flashly, flair for the dramatic lightsaber stlye. The jump off the balacony on the Invisible Hand, the backward jump in front of Kenobi, as well as the behind hand the back lightsaber moves. Classic Anakin Skywalker.

That's a fighting stance. Not a finishing move.

In all seriousness: I believe that Alpha-Red was and is correct. As much as their response may have been a joke, I think they've also hit the answer. Anakin attempts to do something flashy to Obi Wan to finish him and prove his power. It fails. We never technically see his signature move because he never fully makes it.

He may not have a signature move, but he has a Mustafar theme song from DMX.

    "I'm slippin... I'm fallin, I can't get up..."

So is this like star wars mortal kombat now? Where every character has their own unique finishing move?

I can just see it now...

*Count Dooku kneels at the feet of Anakin Skywalker. His hands removed and defenseless*

    Palpatine: Finish him!!!

*Anakin cuts off Dooku's head and it falls to the floor*

Palpatine: Fatality! Anakin wins! Flawless Victory!

I nominate the "you're #1 middle finger salute" followed by a Stone Cold Stunner.

That's what Obi-wan and him do with the Force shove tug-o-war.

That's true. But what I've heard, Mace was also a fan of the force choke, and possibly the one who taught it to Anakin.

This is Star Wars, not the WWF.

You don't need to teach the force choke. It's just moving the windpipe together. Besides, where did you hear that?

Mace did not teach Anakin the Force choke. That is a dark side power. One of the Republic comics shows him using the Force choke for the 1st (or is it 2nd) time. It was an accident, he just did it without thinking.

And a signature move implies a flashiness that the Jedi do not believe in. They only fight for defense, it would make no sense for them to have a "signature" move. Before the CW they only fought to protect themselves or other innocents. Fighting is functional to a Jedi.

It's WWE. You could be sued for saying it the other way.:p
