    Shower, Interrupted

I am cold, wet and still soapy. My skin itches and I can?t tell if it is from the untailored tunic or the soap I didn?t get washed out of my hair. A shower would be good. A long, hot uninterrupted shower would be wonderful.

If I had only been so lucky.

I wish I had a holocamera to record the looks of so many knights and masters leaping out of my way this morning. Not a one would think twice before facing down a dangerous enemy but they were all smart enough to back away slowly. It would be wise to stay out of my way. And frankly, if they were in my position, I doubt a one of them would just sit down and meditate or be so blasted calm about it.

Okay, so maybe the bashed in and gutted hovercam I am dragging through the corridor is a little over the top. I can admit that and yes, I was the one who broke it.

    On purpose.

They just don't make hovercams the way they used too. The poor little thing just exploded when I sent it flying across the shower room and into a stone wall. It might even have been repairable before I pulled apart the casing and ripped out its mechanical guts looking for the data storage crystal.

It is amazing just how much wiring goes into making one of those little droids work. Funny the things one learns when least expected.

The soap in my hair was making my head itch. Maybe I should not have been in such a hurry. Surely a few minutes to wash the soap out wouldn't have been that great of a delay.

Oh well, it is too late now.

Barreling around a corner, I nearly crashed into a tall Bothan Jedi. Quickly excusing myself, I was determined not to be held up any longer than I had to be. I wanted to get the soap that was drying on my skin washed off. Preferably sooner than later but at the moment, little was going to stand between me and my goal.

    Satisfaction.

I think the knight said something about a peaceful mind as he quickly bounded out of my way. I wasn't really listening that closely.

Peaceful mind. Serenity. I got it.

I was having a peaceful shower and feeling pretty serene after a nice, early morning workout. Now I am just itchy and irritated.

The hovercam rattled rather noisily as I dragged it around the corner of one of the residential corridors. Pausing only briefly, I gathered up the strung out innards. It wouldn't do to announce my arrival before I was good and ready.

Arriving at my destination, I did not even hesitate to swipe the door controls. Mercifully it was unlocked and the door swished open. As I wove my way through the apartment, part of the shattered droid's casing smashed against the wall as I dropped it to my side before tucking it safely into the folds of my cloak. I wasn't quite ready to expose the evidence just yet.

Hearing the cascade of water, I headed for the steamy refresher. I was through the siding door even before it could completely open.

?Kenobi!? I barked ripping open the fogged glass door of the private shower.

I don?t know who moved faster, him or me. Well, me. I got the towel first. Clutching it for all it was worth and I wasn?t going to let go.

Needless to say, Obi-Wan was a little on the startled side. Someone was not being aware of his surroundings. He was backed up against the shower wall. Water and steam all that stood between us. Wide eyed in shock, but infuriatingly, it quickly melted.

And what did he do next?

He straightened, smiled and shut the water off. ?Good morning, Siri,? he said a little too cheerfully. Only he could stand there, dressed only in water and greet me like that.

    What was it with him?

I didn?t really think he would be in the shower when I came storming in. Actually, I really wasn't thinking.

    Sweet irony, nonetheless.

You know, I never noticed just how freckled his shoulders were.

?Can I have my towel back??

I just looked at him as if he were speaking Huttese, except I could understand Huttese. ?What??

He motioned to the cloth held in a death grip. ?My towel.? H

This is excellent! Loved Obi-Wan shutting the shower door in her face - "Take it up with Anakin" - LOL! So droll. Typical Obi-Wan. And Siri turning the hot water off was priceless...

I wonder if anyone has ever told him he screams like a girl?

Wow! I didn?t expect this rewrite to get much attention. [face_thinking] I might have to do the rewrite of Obi-Wan?s POV.

    JadeSolo?Thanks!

kma?Siri can be so mean. [face_laugh]

SiriKenobi12?Glad you liked it. And really, who could resist a Wet Obi-Wan story?

    Kynstar?Thank you very much!

Knight Aragorn? Thanks! I don?t know, but Siri probably had more fun registering her complaint with Obi-Wan than she would have had with Anakin.

Diane? Thanks! I just thought the original was really lacking and have wanted to rewrite it since I originally did it because the my tenses were all off and the word limit was difficult and it really was the scariest hing I had ever written at that point. ;)

    PK?Thanks!

Captain Observant? Can you imagine Obi-Wan Kenobi really screaming like that?

CrystalKenobi? Lovely scenery wasn?t it? [face_love]

LukestheMan?A wish shared by many. :p

    WhosScruffyLooking? :D

    Zebra3?Thanks!

    DarthIshtar?Thanks!

Padawan?I had fun in the tweak, too bad it had to stay board friendly. [face_blush] =P~

    Thanks everyone!
