Another great exchange during this episode:

Fern: I should totally race Bonji Phalfa with this ship.
KB: For sure. This thing is so cheese whizard!
Neel: But who's gonna fly it, kid? You?
    Wim: Hey, I called claimsies!
Neel: Wim, what did I just ask Fern?

Oh my god...the taun taun stampede...thousands upon thousands upon thousands of angry, rabid taun tauns tearing everyone limb from limb. I didn't think Disney would ever go there.

Nice episode. I liked the scene of Wim not wanting to go back to his routine life. Had the unexpected penultimate character death too (although I'm sure 33 is coming back). The reunion with the parents at the end was nice too. I wished this episode was a little longer though.

    That was…. Not very good?

Didn’t get any promised Jod development and it’s just another episode that builds up to something and just abruptly ends before anything exciting happens. They’re gonna have to pull a great finale to make it all worth it…

What a episode!!! And the finale itself will be very interesting (but i really want to know more about Jod's past).

Probably the weakest episode for me.

I felt the first half was ... just off. Boring even. Felt like it was wasting time. Acting was a bit rough too. Pirates were dumb. However the second half, basically once they descended into the barrier, it got really good. Loved the vault and underground caverns.

And yeah, the Supervisor 'voice' ... he either totally doesn't exist and is long gone, or is another droid running the show.

I am sorry my beloved Obi-Wan Kenobi.
I am sorry Mando and little Grogu.
Apologies Ahsoka, my favorite Star Wars character along with Luke.

But Skeleton Crew has officially become the best Disney Star Wars content released for me.

    This show is pure magic.

PS. The supervisor is clearly Tak Rennod.

I think the final episode is just gonna be a race to prevent the Supervisor AI from literally blowing up the whole operation because it’s been compromised. Which is kind of disappointing. Wanted something a little more out of the reveal besides “it’s a planet that prints money!”

Another banger of an episode! Jod killing Brutus was brutal and a total Cassian Andor moment. SM-33 punching him out was legit funny, the later Jod's decapitation of SM-33 completes his heel turn. (Although I'm sure SM-33 can be repaired.) Things got pretty scary with Jod threatening the children making his character even darker. Then the tense cliffhanger. Can't wait for next week, I hope they stick the landing as this show has been an absolute delight.

I think so too...just leaves your mouth watering with just a salad and maybe a crouton or two. I like how they made some moves with getting rid of some characters and having the kids make it home!! But somehow Jod gets on. And why didn't the rest of the 30 or so pirates board the ship?
RIP Brutus. Took me by surprise and SM-33 should be okay.
And reunion with the parents was touching.

'I haven't seen so much gold in the galaxy' >in Rey voice.. No way we see a redemption at this point right? And where is this supervisor...this must be a big revel next week.

Am I the only one confused as to why SM-33 turned on Jod for the kids?

Not may shows make me squeal out loud, surprising as the episode was way too short. My first squeal was when Brutus being grabbed by the cargo lifter. Perfection. Second was when Jod blew him away. So Jod really is a POS, even if he can use a light saber. Decapitating SM-33 was honestly upsetting. His calm discussion of slicing up the kids' parents sealed the deal. I don't see a redemption arc headed his way any time soon. He's the true villain of the story, not the Supervisor.

I have this weird feeling they cut a bunch of stuff out of this episode. There’s the part where Jod says “you’re just a bunch of sad, forgotten kids!” or something to that effect, then Fern is trying to say something, and Jod asks “what?!” And I was fully expecting her to say something like “no… you’re the sad, forgotten kid”, and then we get some Jod backstory. But that doesn’t happen and the scene just moves on. I thought it was strange. That combined with Jude Law saying we are getting Joe’s backstory this episode. If the higher ups at Lucasfilm had some weird reason to remove Jod’s backstory and we ultimately don’t get that, im gonna be really pissed

I still think part of the Jedi Order...but one of their failures...someone who did not fit in with the rigid structure and wasn't going to fake it to get by. Either prior to or during Order 66 went off on his own.

I don't think so...is there any bit of a Jedi feeling you get from him besides spewing a line from Master Qui Gon? No way. This guy is in tune with the Force but was never trained.

I hope they didn't cut out anything also.

There's 1000 vaults, with billions and trillions of gold bars. Are they still minting? What do people do all day besides analysis? What is the analysis and accounting even doing? What is this operation?

I'd like to know what the Republic was up to with this secret project. I mean, minting gold for the galactic economy is one thing. Sure. But how didn't the Empire know about this? How was this all just forgotten and made into myth. What was the Republic planning on doing to distribute this money.

Not saying he was a Master or Knight...just part of the order...like one of the kids who was never chosen as a Padawan. He left but still worked to keep his connection to the Force.

If we don't at least get some of Jod's backstory, I'll be sorely disappointed. However, I think anyone familiar with the last 30 years in the GFFA would have a problem coming up with more than one possible, probable story. It's still needed.

I need to rewatch in order to completely understand the ins and outs of the claimses code. It may just be SM-33 was sick of Jod being such a POS. It was pure joy when he struck Jod. I refuse to call him captain of anything.

Loved the episode but a little clunky. Felt a bit rushed and the chase scene at beginning makes Leia's in Obi wan look like The Great Escape.
Some top level acting by Jude Law and some really great cold blooded moments..but he can't kill kids... unlike Anakin
. something in that I think... think he witnessed a massacre maybe -I think he's a fallen youngling who fell in with pirate's and now a cut throat pirate with a laser sword..wizard

Aye Chris0013, I guess as a youngster maybe. If Jod is 50 yrs old in the show, he would have been 20 at Order 66.

There is absolutely no reason to know Jod's backstory. Would it be cool? Perhaps.
But it is most certainly not necessary, nor does it make or break the show.
He's a pirate who is force sensitive and savvy.
