So is Luke Skywalker Tiny or what!

He's tiny! I just read that he was 5'7 so he must be small compared to Mara. Is he small or what? I don't want to make a big deal but is he the smallest guy amoung Wedge and Kyp and the rest. Because in the New Rebellion book it states that a lot of people were bigger than Luke and even Wedge says that it is very difficult to spot him in a big crowd because he is small. What you think?
As usually I am doing a little thing and require some answers if possible

I'm 5'6" so he's only an inch taller.

 

Did you actually watch the films? In all shots Han looked like he was about 6 inches taller than him

Yeah Lukes short 5'7, im 6'3 but my brother is 6'6 and stands out in a crowd.

 

Why are most characters in star wars short? I mean Anakin Sky was 6'2, and he's like the tallest person there is. And if he was so "tall", then how come both luke and leia are really short (er, than me). I mean, I'm 14 and I'm 5'6, and I'm the shortest person in my school.

EDIT: it's kinda funny, my entire family is really short. i'm the tallest person and i'm not even 5'5". my mother is 5'4", my father is 5'2", and my sister is only 5'1"

Luke stand 1.72 meters tall according to both Essential Guides to Characters as well as the OS. Using the BarCharts, Inc. Quick Study Weights & Measures conversion formula for meters to feet (m. x 3.281 = ft.), Luke actually stands around 5.6 feet (1.72 m. x 3.281 = 5.64332 to be precise). Using the same conversion, we get:

If I were smart, I'd go upstairs and get the Insider issue with the Janson NEGtC special entry to get you his height.

Mark Hamill is 5'8
Carrie Fisher is 5'1.5 (that half is important)

Keep in mind people do shrink as they get older.

Nike is right. Luke is just under 5'8". Han is just under 5'11", and so forth.

When you do the math, you can't divide the inches by 12, or you get a shorter number. Just look at how many inches it is above 60, or whatever even 12 number there is. Luke is 67.7 inches, making him 5'8"...well close to 5'8".

Corran is about 5'6", I think, making him win the prize as being shorter than Luke. It's detailed in, "I, Jedi."

I think Mara is about 5'5" or 5'6", but I've heard she's only 5'4" in some books, and she's only 5'3" in the guide book. I'm taller than that. I've always assumed she was just an inch or so shorter than Luke. Considering she's supposed to be some type of long-legged thing, you know.

But, Luke being 5'8" doesn't bother me one bit. I like short guys.

ps...According to this book, Vader is 6'7". I know he's tall, but 6'7"? That's a big papa! And, Chewie is 7'5". Is that actually right?

 

Damn near everyone in the movies was tiny except for that guy in the black mask, that smuggler guy, and his partner. I remember going to see that traveling Star Wars museum thing and seeing all the costumes and feeling like a giant.
