I was impressed it got Roald Amundsen, but surprised it didn't have James Van Allen.
The latter was Time's man of the year in 1960 and has the Van Allen belt named after him, so you'd think it would be in the database. To be fair, it's first guess was Carl Sagan which was in the right field.

 

I remember a special about the moon landing "conspiracy theories" five or so years back. There was a "theorist" who said something like, "THERE'S NO WAY THE ASTRONAUTS COULD HAVE HANDLED THE RADIATION FROM THE VAN ALLEN BELT. THEY WOULD HAVE DIED."

And then the narrator said, "Dr. Van Allen is still alive, so we asked him." Van Allen then proceeded to soundly refute the conspiracy nut's ravings. It was awesome.

I beat him by choosing "The Exile" from KotOR II.

 

I went to school with John Smoltz. His sister was hot!
