So why won't they let you flush the toilet after you've peed in the cup?

maybe they think you have a vial or something of pee, and try to flush it but stop up the toliet. Most people don't want to put an empty vial back in their pockets, might have "splash back" on it.

I have RDT's where I work, and supposedly the reason they don't want you to flush the toilet is because they take a sample from the toilet after you've left, this assures
1. You didn't bring in a false urine sample to fill the cup while you yourself just pee into the toilet for realism. If they don't match you fail.
2. Many of the sample containers that people bring in with their 'false' urine are also flushable.

As for the blue dye in the toilet.... I have no idea. My drug screening place doesn't do that. Maybe it's just an ode to Smurfs or something?!?

It depends on how hydrated you are. If your urine is yellow, you're not drinking enough.

I'm glad I live in a country where drug tests are only administered if you're joining the military. Civilian employees arn't allowed to give them in Canada.

It's true and is a perfect example of how you can get anything off of ebay. it is mostly athletes who want to not discovered to be useing steroids who buy it.

 

And all the college students go, "I can sell my urine??? Whoo-hoo!!!"

Actually, my sister-in-law who is an RN said that a way to check to see if the urine is that persons is they check the temperature. urine just out of a person is warmer than urine stored in a vial. if the temperature doesnt add up they make you do it again.

In my case after I opened the door the nurse came in, poured the sample into a vial, and then flushed the toilet in front of me.

At my doctor, they give me a "dixie cup" to pee in. They don't tell me I can't use the toilet though, so I just dispose of the leftovers there.

I guess there's a big difference between a dorcot checkup and drug screening, though.

 

They do not want you to flush becuase people smuggle stuff in, and try to flush it down the toilet. Be surprised at what people will do to try and pass a drug test. I used to date a nurse, and man did she have some stories.
