Hopefully one can find its way to Disney+. It would let them wrap up the Maul/Crimson Dawn storyline, Han and Qi'ra's relationship, and you'd have the opportunity to maybe focus a little more on Lando. Lot's you can do in eight forty-five minute episodes that you wouldn't be able to delve into with a 2/2.5-hour long movie. And Jon Kasdan said not all of these need movies need to be huge budget affairs; but that lower budget towards a miniseries. Come on. Do it, Lucasfilm. You know you wanna.

And there are also the recent statements by Iger saying that they wouldn't be making new SW movies to premiere on the streaming service. So again, if Solo has any kind of sequel material coming, a series on the streaming service would seem the most likely. It actually works out well that way, because I doubt they would have greenlit another theatrical movie after the BO performance of Solo.

There's also no way of knowing whether the Kasdans had one or two sequels planned for Solo; they were clearly anticipating/setting up at least one, it's possible they had a whole trilogy in mind. If they only planned for one more film, you can go deeper into it with the length a miniseries allows. If they had two more in mind, the major plot points each would have hit could easily fit within eight episodes. Either way, there's no "lose."

That is a pretty great idea. It ties everything together. Maul learning about this hermit on Tattooine because of dealings and business or fighting against Jabba's Syndicate. I like it. I am going to go watch that Twin Suns episode right now.

I would love a sequel series to Solo instead of nothing, but I do agree that I would obviously prefer the sequels on the big screen.

I want more stories with Enfys Nest and the cloud riders. Whether in a Solo sequel, or possibly in the Cassian show, or heck just give them their own tv show.

I could also see them making a Lando film and then of course Solo, Qira, Chewie etc, could be guest stars. And then why not just give Qi’ra her own film too, again featuring Han, Lando, Chewie. Be a trilogy of sorts with each given their own film.

This is the first time I realized that Enfys Neat and the Cloud Riders would fit really well into a Cassian show.

Sure they fit into the Rebels/Rogue One World for sure.
I think Enfys Nest is very Filoni. If Rebels went another season, she'd have been right in there.

It would almost be shocking for her not to be in it.

It sure seems like a good place for Enfys Nest and the cloud riders to appear again.

And really, as much as I liked Solo, I wonder if I might have done better as a tv show. Give more screen time for the new characters.

Maul learns of Obi-Wan's exile on Tatooine in Rebels though - when he and Ezra merges the Holocrons.

Agreed. But what's up with these 8-episode seasons? DISNEY BETTER GIVE ME TEN EPISODES OR I WALK.

I think the shows should have 9 (IX) episodes, like the saga. Each season could be like a mini-saga. They could even be marketed as mini-sagas..... or even just sagas.

Love the idea, but didn't they say that they will not be using Disney+ for full length films...?

That's true, so it's a good thing I was petitioning for a miniseries instead :p

Oh yeah. Guess I was focusing more on the content idea than the format idea...[face_tee_hee]

No way. A miniseries of films will never happen. Fail!

I just watched Solo twice in the past few hours and I really need Solo 2 & 3 NOW.

I hope they'll come back to it and make it to tie it all up. Really loving the adventures of Han, Chewbacca and Lando.

Maybe it can be a trilogy involving these characters, as we just need 2 more entries.

There was a report earlier on WeGotThisCovered concerning Disney+ series for Qi'ra, Lando, Poe, and Finn, and later this tweet gave further info:

I don't if he means Han and Lando, together, or Han and Lando series separately. Either way, if this is true it would mean we are in fact getting a sequel to Solo by way of a miniseries, and potentially a few miniseries centered around different lead characters. Take it with a grain of salt for the time being, at least until we hear more.

I honestly imagine it'll all be one series. They have several major actors who are quite busy. Having one series bouncing between both sides (Scoundrels, and Crimson Dawn) would allow the actors to have much more lenient shooting schedules without having to commit nearly a full year to being the main lead of a show. Ensemble sounds like the smartest way to go.

Totally agree. And it would be epic. If the Mandalorian is successful then a series set after Solo would be extremely likely.

I don't trust these rumors, but I really hope we get some kind of Solo "sequel" series.

Not only because I loved Solo and the world it created -- give me more Enfys Nest, Crimson Dawn, Qi'ra and Maul -- but also because Alden did a fantastic job as Young Han and deserves to be appreciated. A sequel series would do that. The financial failure of Solo had nothing to do with him, and most people who finally got around to seeing it praise both the film and his performance.

Perhaps Solo should always have been a streaming series. Letting an audience get acclimated to a new actor playing Han Solo would have made it easier to accept. And people are much more willing to watch something beamed into their home "for free" versus something they have to leave the house and pay for.

Absolutely. I wish the entire Corellia sequence was a 22-minute episode. Far too rushed in the film. His military service could've been the first season, ending with him returning to Corellia and finding Qi'ra gone.
