Rogue One [Speculation] Bounty Hunters in Rogue One

Don't know why, but I never made the connection that Cad Bane was Duros, same as those aliens in the Mos Eisley Cantina. That's pretty cool!


Anyway, this all seems to be getting abit much now. Although I would love to see bounty hunters, I think I might prefer we don't necessarily see a whole bunch of them. So far, if all these rumors are to be counted true, Rogue One is starting to feel more and more like an OT reunion. Tarkin, Sidious, Vader, young Leia, various Rebel fighters, now bounty hunters...There will be plenty of opportunity for other cameos in the future-I don't see a need to shoehorn them all into THIS particular one...Not to mention the fact that IMO bounty hunters seem like they would fit much better in the Han Solo Anthology instead.

 

I would love to see IG-88 whether it's in this movie or another spin-off, make him terrifying like the T-800 at the very end of the original Terminator movie.

 

Seriously want to see Boba Fett and Cad Bane in Rogue One. Corey Burton and Temuera Morrison must be used for voices though, even more so for Bane. Embo would be cool to see also, as well as his pet Anuba Bossk and IG88 of course also, C21 Highsinger would be cool. 4-LOM and Zuckuss... Meh. They look stupid I hardly care about them.

Are rumors still holding up?

 

Doesn't look like it for Rogue One. Hopefully the Han Solo movie will involve some cool bounty hunters.

 

Pretty sure that's still the rumor.

 

Or saving it for the Boba Fett film 2020.

 

While I don't think there really is any place for Bounty Hunters in R1, if the film were mega-successful then a sequel with Bounty Hunters searching for the survivors of Jyn's team could be an interesting possibility. May they will escape from Hoth and Bossk, Zuckuss and 4-LOM pursue them after Boba, Dengar and IG88 seem to have the lead on the Falcon with little chance they'll escape the latter trio. Tie it in with the Rebels recruiting elements of the fleet you see in ROTJ. You could even introduce the beginnings of some of the peripheral characters from ROTJ such as Crix Madine and Nien Nunb.

 

It's just not the story for them. As others say, the Han Solo movie is the right spot.

 

I agree the Han Solo film would be a great way to introduce the Bounty Hunters back to the universe. I always thought it would be cool if Han and Boba were actually partners at one time .

 

Its a story about recruiting bounty hunters to steal death star plans. Seems like the perfect place to me. We know we're going to see some undesirables from past movies, I expect to see a few more.
