6 would make it on par with the Star Wars film series, and Sony said they want to have the largest film series, IIRC.

 

Yet there will be a Star Trek 11 and a Bond 21.

 

Well, if they decide to adapt the Clone Saga, that'll take up at least 10 movies by itself, with the last one being nothing but Rami sitting there trying to explain what the hell the happened in the previous movies

 

From what I've read lately the only person leaving the franchise is Kirsten Dunst. I don't know if they will kill her off but I believe she will not be back for number 4. Also Brock dies but the simbiote survies. So if Venom is to come back it will be with somebody else playing the part.

it sort of disappoints me that brock would be killed off. if that's the case then it's probably an opening for carnage but don't you still need brock/venom for that?

 

You would think so. These are just some spoilers that I read over at DarkHorizons.com. It also states that there are a few characters who die in this film. I can tell you if you don't already know.

Ok, ok, here's what I know since my wife's company has been a part of Spider-man since the first one and is involved with spidey's and the hobgoblin's suit:

3,4 and 5 are together.
Hobgoblin, Sandman, Venom are in it, everyone knows that. Mysterio was actually the first villain discussed even before news about Sandman broke, there was already production sketches and designs made.
5 will be it, there will be finality to it. If there's to be a 6, someone's going to have to go Batman Begins with it and start it all over. I don't know full details, but I think the writing's on the wall.
Dunst ain't going anywhere. There are rumors out there because at the same time she says Venom, which happened to be true, she also said she didn't want to make many more and would want to see MJ die. She's in it for the haul.
There is no plan, as of right now, to have Venom with the mouth. But that can change in postproduction with CGI. And they are still weeks and weeks away from principal photography.

 

Jeez, spoilers much?

 

If you do end up telling us, at least have the courtesy of putting them in black highlight so people who don't want to know these characters can still be unknowing of these characters.

I bet the 4th villian is the Symbiote itself. The main conflict of the story is not going to be between Spidey and the Sandman or Spidey and Venom or Spidey and the Green Goblin. Just as the trailer says the main conflict is going to be between Peter/Spiderman and the symbiote.

This is going to be the greatest superhero movie ever.

From finishing pricipal photography, which began in January and is still going on in July.

 

According to what was shown at Comicon, Venom does have the mouth, a la Todd McFarlan's original design.

 

DARTH_CRISPY, from all these interviews and comic-con in sounds like they haven't even thought about doing 4 yet. however you say there filming 3,4, and 5 at the same time. are Raimi and the cast just keeping their mouths shut and this will be a surprise?

Pretty much. Disney sort of had everyone involved with Pirates to keep quiet about POTC 3, eventhough it wasn't a heavily guarded secret that they were filming the two films together.

From what I've been told, 3,4 and 5 are virtually the same movie, its one continuing storyline. And since they aren't even finished with the entire project, technically, its still one movie.

I'm actually trying to get my hands on a script, which probably won't happen, but I may be able to get some of parts of the costumes.

 

Well, I hope your right, Crispy, because that sounds cool. It is the only way we'll have more than three good Spider-man movies. I don't think a series can go pass three movies and retain the level of quality. However, if they "Lord of the Ring" it on 3 through 5, then that might work.

That being said, you are the only one I have heard say this, and I have some remote inside contacts of my own (admittedly not working too closely with the project at this time).
