    WARNING
What a fitting end to Maguire's Spidey, his interaction with Holland especially after Goblin kills Aunt May seemed effortlessly perfect for me. Garfield on the other hand feels like there's still more of a story for his Spidey, he redeems his failure to save Gwen Stacy by saving M.J. but I feel like I want to see where that would take him now. If in the likely event there was a Sony Sinister Six film I think having Garfield's more mature Spidey would suit the story better and allow Holland's Spidey to explore his world as it now.

But the real question is, was the movie amazing? Or was it just spectacular?

As a lifelong true believer and spidy fan, I enjoyed NWH immensely! Things I never thought I would see or hear on the big screen! Great to be with a sold out crowd on opening day experiencing it together! Bravo @marvel and @sonypictures #marvelstudios

The movie is a fitting tribute to Spider-Man in live action movies going back 2 decades.

All the returning actors do a good job, as if they'd never really left.

Awesome to see Matt Murdock make an appearance.

Maguire & Garfield were both great, they had excellent chemistry and looked like they really were enjoying working together.
I liked how Maguire's organic web freaked out the other two who both have artificial web shooters, and the joke about Maguire's back was a nice touch.

Molina & Dafoe were of course both as good as in their original movies

It'll be interesting to see how Spider-Man carries on in the MCU when nobody knows who Peter Parker is, including all the Avengers and his friends.

And if Venom returned to his own timeline along with the other villains but left some of itself behind, who gets that symbiote?
There is no established Eddie Brock in the MCU and Flash Thompson as he currently exists would really not make a good Agent Venom.

    This begs the question:

What about Toomes apparently showing up in Morbius, assuming that's set in Venom's universe?

Saw this tonight, one very entertaining and sometimes dark film but it never failed to show a lot of hope and courage for a better tomorrow!
Had an awesome crowed with a fair bit of cheering and clapping at certain moments in the film!

    good story, go see it!

I had a great crowd, lots of people with Spidey shirts, and one guy in a full-on suit. Tons of cheers at the big moments, but best reaction was at one particular line-
huge laughter at Norman delivering the memetic scientist line.
Very glad I stayed relatively unspoiled, as some of the character introductions were done in ways I never expected.

I tried really hard to avoid spoilers so overall the story itself was a great surprise. I really enjoyed it. The audience went nuts when every character made an appearance.

Still in shock about May. And Peter choosing not to tell MJ and Ned was really sad. And then Happy at the end- Peter is literally all alone in the world now. Talk about great power and great responsibility… I mean, no other Spider-Man has made as great a sacrifice- It definitely puts him on the level of Stark and Cap.

Anyway… this is all Talos’ fault. :p

    As to the rest:

Jamie Foxx got a nice redo and overall it worked well. Lizard and Sandman were interesting if underused. Alfred Molina was absolutely great though. And I love that he got a heroic moment too. As to Willem- the crack at the “You know I’m something of a scientist myself” had the theater rolling. But him killing May and stabbing Tobey was a lot to take.

Andrew and Tobey seemed to love every minute of their time. The chemistry was great as were the jokes. It’s really just a shame this wasn’t a two parter that ended with their entry and we could have had a whole movie with all three. So glad that we got what we did though!

Benedict Cumberbatch is just a fantastic Doctor Strange. And he’s been demoted! Go Wong! I do love that Stephen didn’t want to cast that spell at the end. That he would rather let it all fall apart than do that to Peter and himself. It’s certainly a very different view than he had in Infinity War.

So awesome having J.K. Simmons back as JJJ and that shot at Alex Jones hawking pills was great. I am glad they gave us an interaction with JJ and Peter but wish it were in person. Also, since original JJ never knew Peter was Spider-Man, I guess he couldn’t come along for the ride. I did appreciate the specifics of the spell but by it’s own logic, Harrys, Gwen, Mary Jane, and Topher Brock should have appeared. Probably Sally Field May as well.

Great cameo by Matt Murdock. Love that they did that. So officially both Daredevil and you know who are back.

As to Tom- he held his own among all of these actors. It was his film from start to finish and he carried it ably. The need to help people and to make that sacrifice really was heart wrenching because of how good he has been as Peter. To essentially have him erased was incredibly sad. But, it also opens up so many great stories- and likely without the large MCU next time. Looking forward to more.

I was really blown away when
Matt Murdock suddenly turned up without anyone introducing him or anything.

Totally enjoyable, crowd was really into it. Too little Mr. Harrington though.
Andrew Garfield was the MVP of the three. On one hand Tobey Maguire looks like he has hardly aged in almost 20 years, on the other he looks exactly like a guy who's been fending off women with DiCaprio for the last decade or so.

So… freaking… good! I can’t wait to see it again tomorrow!

I loved the chemistry between the three Spider-Men. Stand out moments… Tobey and Andrew telling Tom their stories. Tobey’s back and his organic webbing. Tobey giving Andrew a pep talk was also hilarious. [face_rofl]

I love how each universe plays out in similar fashion but with slight variations. Like May is basically Tom’s Uncle Ben in the MCU. Michelle Jones Watson instead of Mary Jane Watson.

    Matt Murdock! [face_party]

I was kind of expecting Miles Morales to pop his head in to Peter’s apartment to welcome him to the building or something. But oh well it can wait.

    I'm sure a
live-action Miles Morales movie must be in the works, Sony needs as many Spidey hits as it can get... It's easily it's most popular franchise.

So in my Spider-Verse watching just finished Far From Home, which is great (last hour is better than 1st hour). Multiverse, lies and secret identity, may pay off in next movie. Then Spider-Man 67 cartoon, The Origin of Spider-Man to wrap it up.

No Way Home starts in 11 hours, brb

question for those who saw it:

So after Aunt May dies and they're in Ned's place I ran to the bathroom. When I came back %@$#@ Andrew Garfield was on screen. What did I miss?
