A Very Special Holiday

Nyota looked at the decorations on the tree and smiled at the numerous ornaments that she had collected over the years to place around the tree. Along with the glitter and the twinkling lights the tree was ready for Christmas.

She had bought many presents for her children and for Spock as well and a feeling of both relief and happiness made her cheeks glow red.

Tomorrow would be a very special day and she wanted everything to be perfect for the occasion. As she glanced one last time at the tree before retiring for bed, she placed a plate of cookies and a glass of milk upon the table.

The next morning was a raucous awakening as her children urged her to wake up since Santa had brought many presents for them to open. Spock was already awake and dressed up for the occasion.

“Hurry, Mom,” her children pleaded with her to accompany them to the tree.

She got up and told them, “Give me five minutes to get into something special for this Christmas.”

They obliged and scurried to the tree while awaiting for her to come and join them. Within five minutes, she joined them as they were all now waiting to open their respective presents from Santa.

She smiled as each present was open and the children enjoyed what they had received. She opened her present from Spock which was an exquisite diamond necklace that he placed around her neck with a soft kiss.

“Merry Christmas,” Spock caressed her now blushing cheeks, “I will always love these moments and more. with you always and forever.

“Merry Christmas to you my love as well,” she told Spock as she presented his special present from her. He opened it and inside was a small set of blue baby’s footies.

“Yes,” she confirmed his amazing suspicion, “We are having a boy.”

Spock beamed with pride at her announcement, “To our currency children and our future children that make me the happiest Vulcan ever.”

“Happy?” She questioned him, “Isn’t that a human emotion?”

“Yes,” he smiled and kissed her deeply, “It is.”
