Will the
new canon
change
everything?

 

So we're doing Dengar next? We really are latching onto every remotely recognizable character from the saga.

 

To be fair robot chicken has really made Dengar much more popular in the last 10 years.

 

He recently fought Darth Maul in TCW.

But that doesn't mean anything these days. Everyone's taken a shot at Maul.

 

I was inspired to re-watch that scene. Interestingly enough, Dengar pops up but is quickly taken down by Opress who threw a thug at him. He's also the first to flee down the tunnel once Bo-Katan shows up with reinforcements even before the Bounty Hunters called retreat. Dengar is not seen again and was not one of the Bounty Hunters that chose to fight Maul, Opress and Vizla in the tunnel. Sugi went hand to hand with Maul, she seemed the most skilled out've all of them next to Embo. The fight also looked edited as we then see both Latts & Dengar is getting up which seems to indicate he did fight but was taken down at some point and then he's seen motioning to get it out've there after someone tossed smoke grenades but the "lets get out've here" voice but its from Razzi.

 

He's also not a part of Boba's group anymore by the time Dark Disciple takes place.

 

All respect to the old artist but Stuart Immonen is going to take this series to the next level.

Yeah, I'm very excited about Immonen working on SW. I just wish we didn't have to wait until August to see his first issue (even though the Obi-Wan issue looks cool).

 

When I read Dengar's lines I'm going to imagine Simon Pegg's voice speaking!

BTW hope we get a canon confirmation of his legends accident, I don't want those bandages to be a fashion accessory like they were in TCW.

 

That cover is so sideways it's so cool!

Nice to see threepio doing something heroic as to some fans (not me) he can sometimes come across as a useless character when it comes to comics and novels. In fact, so far in this arc Threepio has done more than Han "She's not my wife!" Solo has

 

Another great issue with fantastic art. I liked Han's explanation of his connection to Sana and his last line of the issue. Perfect!

I'm wondering how Luke is gonna get that journal back. It seems like that guy who serves the hut is about to save Luke, which means they need to escape. WHICH MEANS NO JOURNAL FETCHING!?
