Ahsoka Star Wars: Ahsoka - Season 2 Discussion Thread

As the daughter died giving life to Ahsoka, I always felt she would become the daughter. Or would that be Sabine's role now? Of course, I still think Anakin, as the chosen one, despite being dead, would become the father. Between the WBW and the Mortis temple I'm excited about the potential there.

 

Even though Ariana Greenblatt played a great young Ahsoka in the flashback scenes during the Clone Wars and Sige of Mandalore, I wonder if Ashley was also considered for the part of young Ahsoka or would that not have worked out?

Either way I hope Ashley gets to be in Season 2 no matter the role.

 

Given the difference in ethnicity between Rosario Dawson and Ashley Eckstein, and the fact that they look absolutely nothing alike, no, I doubt Eckstein was in the running to play a young Ahsoka. Not to mention that Greenblatt is already an accomplished young screen actor, and Eckstein just isn’t (though she does great voice work).

 

Eckstein's voice why I wondered if she was up for the role, because she did voice Ahsoka during the Clone Wars and Rebels. So, it would have been great seeing her in live action based on that fact.

 

But not as a younger Rosario Dawson, I think for good reason.

And yes, I know Eckstein voiced Ahsoka in TCW, Rebels and Tales of the Jedi.

 

I agree 100%.

However, from a nostalgia point of view, I'm sure there are some fans who wished Ashley could have played Ahsoka in live action. That's what I remember when Rosario was given the role.

Although after her first appearance as her in The Mandalorian, I know the talk was how great she was, and was a perfect choice to player her. The same thing was said about Ariana Greenblatt, after she played young Ahsoka.

 

Yes. And a decent chunk of those fans were very rude and insulting to Dawson, despite Eckstein having nothing but positive things to say about Dawson. Eckstein took the high road because she’s a good person. And I’m sure she doesn’t like it when her fans speak for her, and make it seem as if she’s bitter about it. Not fair for her or Dawson.

 

What are the chances we see Zeb at any point in Season 2?

I have read that when he had his cameo in Season 3 of The Mandalorian, it was expensive to do that.

So, does anyone think will see him or will his only time being mentioned when Ezra said his name in Season 1, when Sabine told him what he had missed.

 

Season 2 yess as Ezra reunites with his purple friend.

 

Zeb looked great in the Mandalorian. Having him reunite with Ezra and Chopper will be making this fan very happy.

 

A cameo in Season 2 wouldn’t surprise me.

 

Lars Mikkelsen said on a con to someone,that Ahsoka season 2 would film in april.

 

Andor season 2 in March and Ahsoka Season 2 in December. I am a believer

 

Summer and December.

 

It looks like that Ahsoka s2 will be release before mando movie, maybe march 26.

 

I wonder how mutch tie in this show will have with the Mando movie. Thrawn, Hera?

 

Maybe have a scene with Sabine and Din Djarin, since both are Mandalorian.

I also remember reading rumors of Sabine possibly being in The Mandalorian before Season 1 of Ahsoka, where she might have helped him using the Darksaber.

 

Is Abeloth actually officially in this or have we just had rumors?

There’s no official announcement, the Abeloth thing (and the Baylon recasting) came from a (somewhat) notable leader who shared a casting call that sort of leans in the direction of Abeloth.

 

Notably, there have been several different Aboleth rumors for other pieces of star wars media in recent years - most notably a mysterious woman with mind influencing abilities called the Mother in High Republic who turned out to not remotely be Aboleth - and none have panned out.

So personally I am putting this alongside "Starkiller is being recanonized" and "Boba Fett vs Qira" as things that seem to generate constant rumors because they were rumored about before. Though what really gets me is that Aboleth was pretty obscure even among legends fans and not well liked among people who did know of her, as far as I can tell, so I have no idea how so many people have suddenly heard of her and want her to return.

Which is not to say her return is impossible, deeper cuts than her have made the canon jump, but I don't think there is solid evidence of it yet.

 

First of all, where’s the incredible art? Secondly, where’s the prediction?

 

There’s a strand of DNA with Abeloth that might make the character more likely than some other Legends pulls, because Filoni had a hand in her creation and helped to tie the character into the Mortis mythology.

Myself I’m indifferent to the character, but IF Filoni’s doing something further with that mythology and it ties into the distinctly Matriarchal Nightsisters and their unique use of the Force, well, there could be something to it.

 

Abeloth could be the first witch and in times like Skywalker Saga be revered as a god.
