Gaming Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) & Battlefront 2 (2017) [Mod Approved]

Eh, I could understand $10...but $15 for so little just doesn't sound right to me.

 

Well it cost $50 to get all 4 updates, so there has to be some incentive for people to put down that 50 bucks all at once besides just getting it two weeks early.

 

Yeah so finally got to play the new Endor map tonight. Its beautiful cosmetically, I love the cave system. It just, I dunno didn't really scream Star Wars to me

 

The price is pretty much what I expected it to be, so I don't have a massive complaint about it. It's not so high that I'd feel uncomfortable throwing that at them four times a year, provided the first DLC doesn't leave a bad taste in the mouth after playing it. I'll give the first pack a try at least, then make more decisions based on how it feels.

I love how the new map looks. But it's broken as all hell. Freezing, stuttering, and lagging all over the place. And quiet a few places to get literally stuck.

I've seen many people making the same complaints at the BF forum.

My mistake, you're correct. I own the Ultimate Edition. I forgot that they had a mid priced version as well sans season pass, but with the additional primary weapons and star cards.

 

Any update on the dlc? Haven't played in a few days and I'm getting restless.

 

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's experienced freezing while play the new map. That was so freakin annoying!

 

Is freezing linked to a specific console? Iv played on ps4 and haven't had an issue as of yet.

Got the division today so it'll be fun splitting time between that and this.

 

I just read the leaked release date is April 5th for the outer rim dlc.

 

No idea man. I play on the ps4 and I haven't had any issues either.

 

I was having some issues on the Xbox one during a walker assault match on the new map. For me it usually happens during the last uplink when you are running around the tree village, but it's only a minor lag. Plus, some of the cosmetics seem to be a little messed up. Other than that, it works fine.

Yep, that is for the individual DLC pack if you do not have the season pass which will cost $15 and if you have the season pass, then you will receive it on March 22

Names of the Outer Rim dlc maps not much info really but still good confirmation of 4 maps. I reckon a trailer will drop for it fairly soon too.

 

I find it quite odd how this information isn't release by EA themselves. I mean, are they trying to keep what we already know secret?

 

No I just think they want to make their announcement through a trailer sometime over the next few days. I don't care who announced what so long as it's quality.

 

We'll definitely get an official release announcement this week. Probably tomorrow. But yeah, season pass holders get it March 22, next Tuesday, and regular owners can purchase it on the 5th (same day as TFA video release... Coincidental timing or great synergy?) I can't wait to play it next week! Jabba's Palace is gonna be great, and excited for new ranks and weapons and star cards. The Dioxis grenade sounds great. I'm thinking you throw it and has an AOE effect that'll slowly drain the health of enemies. My Neimoidian fantasies can come true now by poisoning Jedi! xD

As far as we're aware there won't be new skins out outfit customization but happy to be wrong.

 

The community manager said there's a new skin at 60 for "bragging rights" so... I assume there'll be more.

 

Interesting game news in general today with Microsoft announcing cross platform comparability for MP. Unfortunately I think it's too late for Battlefront, and any other existing games as I figure it would require a significant modification of how they do the coding and stuff. Would be good though.

 

I think it would be awesome if it were limited to xbox/ps4. I don't really like the idea of going up against PC players in a FPS lol!
