Gaming Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) & Battlefront 2 (2017) [Mod Approved]

I haven't played Battlefield very much, and it was a long time ago that I played either of the Battlefronts, but from what I can remember, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare has a very similar feel to the original games. Not only because it's a third person shooter, but because of how fast-paced it is.

 

I expect there to be secret episode VII content at launch. A secret code that unlocks Kylo Ren for use or something

 

Oh, and one more thing: In the name of God, I sure as hell hope they use the movies to base models off of, and not the horrible blocky TV show models.

 

Are you talking about character models? Check out the concept art, it is really nice.

 

My guess is march-june we will see what this game is really gonna be.

 

Let's see if we get any updates at E3

 

rickyjr7306 I'm sure it'll be getting huge exposure from EA at E3, we'll possibly even have a slight reveal at Star Wars Celebration in April.

 

Pray that it isn't on April 1st.

I'm sure EA will be exposing some content that we either already know, or give us a look with a new trailer maybe.

We were told that we'd see gameplay in the spring, and GDC is in a couple of weeks. That's where Battlefield 4's single player debuted to the public, so I'm expecting the same thing to happen here, with the gameplay demo used maybe being made available in a few booths at Celebration.

 

It'll definitely look beautiful, at the very least.

 

I cant wait!!!! My biggest fear though is the 13 year old MLG "smoke weed errday?" No scope ommmgggz dew n doritos community will invade battlefront.

 

Very interested to see what Visceral and Amy Hennig are cooking up too.

I'm curious if it'll be something relatively the same as Dead Space. (With the exception of horror and necromorph's of course.) Like it may be a commando game with the same feel as Dead Space with the third person view, crafting system, etc.

 

If campaign is canon I expect it to be referenced in a novel or comic at some point to continue the cross platform synergy the new canon is providing.

 

If a fighting game did come out, they would need to focus on JUST the gameplay and stay away from any kind of story. Characters would have to be very detailed. feature all the warriors/Jedi/Sith/Bounty hunters

As far as BF3...still doesnt sound like a good game. Galactic Conquest was the best part of Battlefront because you made your own story there. They tried to make a story in BF2, but they had to avoid conflicting with the complete saga. Give me a Galactic Conquest with 15 to 17 planents from the complete saga all 3 factions from the films. All heroes from BF2 minus the conehead Jedi and the twilek jedi, replace them with AOTC Padme and TPM Qui Gon and it would be a game I could lost in for hours. Not interested in the Disney stuff, so Id never purchase that.

I doubt they'd go so low as to make a fighting game now-a-days. Considering you've got major games like COD, Battlefield, and Halo with stories and multiplayer. Galactic Conquest was a lot of fun, and I liked the idea of purchasing troops in BF2, so it gave you a reason to want to win. As far as the idea that you have with the complete saga, I'd like a major story based Galactic Conquest that leads from TPM to ROTJ. That'd be one hell of a story to play. I'd be lost in something like that. As far as Disney stuff goes, the only way I'd ever buy something from them is by looking at gameplay, reviews, and how much it is. Otherwise, I'll push it aside.

 

Commander Krix Is Dead Space style something that would suit a Star Wars game well?

 

50/50 IMO. It'd definitely introduce a new look to Star Wars. I don't see much wrong with the style other than some of the hud. Other than that, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

 

I would like to see more strategy like in empire at war. Battlefront was more of a fun universe to play in, not much strategy involved.

 

Combine Empire at War with Battlefront and you have a winner. Simple as.
Strategy during the overworld, with full controllable soldier battles in space or on planets.

 

Battlefront will be front and centre of EA's conference at E3. I'm hoping there won't be an exclusivity deal for Microsoft or Sony as I don't want to miss any content.

 

That would be magical, I'd love to see if they could pull it off.

 

That would basically be my dream video game, and in any setting, not just Star Wars.
