Gaming Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) & Battlefront 2 (2017) [Mod Approved]

I recently got back into this game, and am enjoying the heck out of it. Here's some high scores I achieved. Really proud!

Also on heroes vs. villains, I am literally unbeatable as Leia. She's by far the best character in the game if you know how to use her to her full potential. The other day as soon as the match started, I defeated all 4 villains at once as her. I've even gone an entire match with 0 deaths as her.

 

I feel bad; I just wish I had more incentive to play the game. Between this and Squadrons, I've probably logged in at most maybe a couple hours over the last few months.

 

Looking to get back into this, maybe we could find a group of us (PS4) from here to play it? Only reason I stopped playing before was because I didn't have anybody to play it with.

 

Funny thing is a couple of years ago we created a PS4 Community for JCF members; but apparently Sony will be shutting down Communities next Month.

 

I hadn't heard about this. Well, I'm sad to see it go but I've got to be honest; I've never used it. With forums (including Reddit) and Discord, I'm not surprised the community feature didn't take off.

Maybe we could somehow set one up again, just use this thread to schedule days of playing together?

Just added you. While Communities will be leaving, there are still "Custom Friends Lists" that you can create. I actually have three, one for Red Dead Online, one for Star Wars games (I have the Battlefront games and Squadrons), and one for just personal close friends.

Hey all, just figured I'd post this here -- although not strictly related to the new Battlefront games, it is pertinent to the Battlefront franchise. A mod archive for the original Battlefront II (2005) is up now, and it contains links for over 1,400 mod maps, with new maps, planets, units, heroes, you name it -- from pretty much every corner of the SW media universe you can imagine. Is that just about the Xbox Series X FPS Boost? Misleading title if so, but then I can't say I'm surprised by such.

Battlefront 2015 should really just combine all four dlc's together. Cause it's super hard finding a match for each individual one. And I'm sick of playing on Hoth and Endor for the one thousandth time. I'd just play Battlefront 2 but i'm just not a huge fan of it. Unfortunately looks like we are not getting a Battlefront 3 any time soon, but under EA that may be a good thing,

 

What are the servers like on BF2 lately? I haven't played the game in months. I agree that BF 2015 just seemed to be more enjoyable overall. When I think of playing a BF game, I'd think more about BF 2015 than about BF2.

Could be that I was disappointed with the final character roster (at least who was rumored but ultimately left off).

 

Battlefront II just feels so slow compared to Battlefront 2015. I mean it takes like 10 bullets to kills an enemy in BF2, and the movement just feels slow. I guess it's just personal preference.

What you mean you don't like playing as BB8 and the other droid who got 5 seconds of screen time? lol

It's hilarious BF2 still doesn't and won't ever have any type of stats/time played. Also can't stand the matchmaking. I get same few maps every time i search for a game of Galactic Assault.

 

BF2 Director confirmed both Ahsoka and Ventress were close to being the latest playable heroes

Along with a new Mustafar map. An early post of mine from last month suggested I'd played the game maybe a couple of hours total over the span of several months. I haven't played it at all since probably early September.

 

Not sure if this is the same as what you're suggesting; but considering it's still EA, they should've taken the approach that they do with The Sims games; where they offer DLC packs a la carte as an add-on to the base game. It just makes more sense than to just tell fans to sit tight and hope that BF3 will just be everything you ever wanted and more. There's no guarantee that there'll be a new game anyway.

 

Anyone still play Battlefront 2? Bummed we won't be getting another one any time soon..
