Ever spent a whole gaming shooting Gungans? Or just hiding in the bushes on Endor sniping Ewoks?

Why yes, yes I have! It's fun, too, taking my frustrations out on 2 of the worst things ever in the SW universe....other than lightsiders! [face_skull]

seems like everything mentioned in the interview that MoE was nice enough to repost here(thanks btw) was stuff we've all been talking about on our "wishlists' for a BFII.
Makes you wonder if developers watch these boards.
    (if so, thanks!)

I believe the developers made it a point to stress repeatedly that they had listened to community feedback in MOE's interview.

Has anyone seen the screenshots in the latest PSM? The game looks freaking amazing, and I love the fact that you board ships and sabotage them. Thats such realistic gameplay.

This game sounds like it's going to be great. I'm really excited about the space battles. I wonder if they will include some from the movies, like the death star space battle.

Bring on Battlefront 2! I don't understand all the complaints against the first one. My friends and I all have a blast playing it.

I think the biggest overrated piece of crap is Halo 2. Absolutely the most over-hyped game since Daikatana. It was about as good as a 15 dollar expansion pack to Halo 1 and Halo 1's only saving grace was the multiplayer aspect.
To each their own I guess...

    Here ya go:

    *from PCGamer*

"The original Star Wars: Battlefront had one extremely big thing going for it - it was the first time we were able to relive the epic ground battles of all the Star Wars films with dozens of other gamers. And in delivering that wow factor, Battlefront succeded tremendously. Battlefront II follows up on that experience with 16 additional battle re-creations and new features that'll tickle your Force senses."
"I've played two maps from the upcoming sequel, both of which gave me a sense of how much the developers are emphasizing immersion. The first map was the battle on Tantive 4, which Star Wars fans will recognize as the very first confrontation between the Rebels and the Empire from Episode IV. It's where Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2 try to make their way out of the Rebel Blockade Runner that's under attack by the Empire's Star Destroyer, Devastator ."
"Surprisingly, Battlefront II will be the first time this scene has been re-enacted in any Star Wars game, and it's build-up is intense. AI-controlled Rebel Troops line up behind the cover of crates and in doorway niches along the hallway in anticipation of the Stormtrooper boarding party(just as in the movie). When the door opens, all hell breaks loose at this crucial choke point. A couple of hand grenades thrown down the hallway from either side can be devastating, sending bodies flying all over the place."

    *more from PCGamer*

"Taking Command Points is no longer the only goal" explains Dan Pettit, the game's Producer at LucasArts. Instead, much of Battlefront II will be objective driven. On Tantive 4, the light side's objective will be to safely escort Princess Leia and her metal friends to escape pods. AI-controlled NPCs will represent the primary characters through scripted events. (LucasArts won't reveal if Dart Vader will make an appearance in this scenario, but we think it'd be geek blasphemy if he didn't show up for at least some menacing breathing)"

I THINK THERES NO BATTLEFRONT 2. THEY ARE JUST GOING TO MAKE ENPIRE AT WAR AND THATS IT.

    *and more*

"Battlefront II will cover scenarios from all six films, with a slight emphasis on Episode III. The second map I played is from the opening encounter from the upcoming movie, which also shows off BFII's most anticipated feature: space battles. Battlefront let us dabble briefly with aerial combat on maps like Bespin Platform, but space combat will play a big part in the sequel."
"I watched in awe as capital ships and fighters clashed above the planet-city of Corscuant. The amount of activity going on was overwhelming. Aside from massive destroyers and cruisers(which you can board), the backdrop is littered with scripted ships in combat, amid heaps of explosions and laser fire. Plenty of action happens inside capital ships, too: you can man turrets, assault spawn points with landing parties and completely sabotage objectives."
Dogfighting is similar to the action in Rogue Squadron as opposed to full-out simulation like X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter."

    *lastly from PCGamer*

"Game mechanics wil be adjusted so you won't always be able to play as a Jedi, but if the arena scene from the end of Episode II makes it into the game, I'd be very much in favor of a battle with more than 30 Jedi onscreen at once."

I was not aware that "Enpire" is a word. Enlighten me on this...colorful choice of words ;) And to go back on topic, I hope Battlfront 2 is better than the original. If there is no cap on the amount of Jedi you can have on the servers where there are Jedi, then I this game might just be a load of crap. Ship boarding sounds fun though! Always wanted my own Star Destroyer...

I hope they make a better version of geonosis like in the movie two huge groups of amries going at each other. plus the dust efect when the core ship goes down!

I consider Battlefront 2 to be a chance for LucasArts to make this game right. The first one was very promissing, but ultimately flawed, due to a rushed release schedule. If they could just take that first game and polish it up properly, correct all the mistakes that became evident with some playing and just add some content here and there, then this game will be what Battlefront should have been.

I hope they don't try and make a whole new game, cause then they'll be making all new mistakes...

The concept of capital ships doing battle, if done properly, is making me drool.
