eequo is so right. (BTW does anyone have Skype?)

The Geonosis level is so weak compard to the movie. You gotta remember though it has to run on a PS2. Thats like a 800 mhz computer. The game has a min requirements of 1 ghz! That is so Old School!

The Driods are so out gunned in that level. All the driods have to be the Assault Driod (rocket launcher driod) Lay mines on the sides of the crashed ship. Then they have a chance. I've only seen the driods win once. And it was the close game.

(This only happened once but in Tatooine. Not the city level. All the driods where Droideka driods and OMG the round was over so quick.)

The driod's heavy armor, doesn't respawn as fast as the Republic's Atet.

I also think there should be two more levels for Geonosis. Save the jedi level. Then a very large Geonsis level. Have a Republic star destroyer and a Trade Federation on the other side. Then some destroyable Cps like a ship or two and a few forward cp for the republic. a Hanger for the Driods in the mountains and maybe a cave for the Republic.

The Hanger would have to have it so the Republic has to use jetpack troops to get in it. If it was infront of the Trade Federation ship that would be great. Then the back door wouldn't be so easy to get into for the hanger.

It would be nice if the mod tools were easier. I wish I could import stuff from Maya alittle easier. I'd make that Geonosis level right now.

After reading the PC Gamer article I'm even more pumped. The Previewer even seemed enthusiastic on the AI.

Yes I agree Night Owl, a save-the-jedi level would be great.

As I said before you guys have been jedi mind tricked. Don't you think "PC Gamer" gets paid to write good things about games? How many times have you read in Pc Gamer where they shot down a game that is a major seller?

They make money from ads, us buying PC Gamer, and writing about games.

Battlefront Tip: Pinned down to one CP? Try and sneak past the enemy to the far back enemy CP. This will split thier forces in two and bring your team back into the game. Its called "Flanking".

Actually Battle For Naboo was a pretty good game. Before you start ripping play it [edited]. I don't know why PC gamer would have an article on BF2 when EBgames has it listed only PS2 and Xbox. They should just leave it to PC and Xbox because the Ps2 sucks. I want the graphics amped up. The controls were fine, but space battles would be cool.

Well biased or not the article does say BF2 will include a lot of things the original was missing. And that can only be good news.

SithLordPat: "Actually Battle For Naboo was a pretty good game. Before you start ripping play it [edited]."

First off let me say that I need to give SithLordPat a silly dumb name because I don't agree with what he says. Therefore because I am so low and have such low self esteem. I need too act like a 4 year old on a starwars game forum, to feel good about myself. Your a [edited] SithLordPat. Anti- quitsies. You're it. Quitsies. No anti-quitsies. No startsies.

From what people have told me "Battle For Naboo" was a cheap rip off of "Star Wars: Starfighter" Just another way to make a quick buck. Also like most of the current star wars games it was poor quailty. But thats just an opinion. You don't have to act like a 4 year old and name calling just cause you don't agree.

I remember the days when Lucas Arts made great games. That didn't crash on you once everytime you played. *Sneeze "Star Wars: Battlefront"*

Like before Battlefront 2 will be released at the sametime EP3 dvd comes out. Its all marketing. They want to make money and don't care about quality. I see Battlefront 3 coming out at the sametime the ultimite edition comes out. The one that is a box set with all the movies together.

You could just stop being such a whinny little [edited]. Go make your own damn thread about how bad Star Wars games were. This is a BF2 thread where most people (except whinny little pricks such as yourself) like the 1st game and want to discuss the 2nd one. Everyone understands that BF1 had flaws, that doesn't make it a bad game. Maybe it woulden't crash on you if you had a nice computer that had the proper requirements to play the game. BF2 will be coming out Nov. 1 2005 most likely no time near the EP.III DVD.So shut up and go make some thread about your sucky SW games and voice your idiotic opinions.

    [face_peace]

Now run along and don't think to hard about what I just posted, you might hurt yourself.

On the use of a Jedi, it would be nice to order them to specific tasks or command posts.

So do you think the new troopers from epsode 3 will be on the clone faction?

I hope they replace the clone pilot's weapon, because that thing sucks. The only thing the clone pilot is good for is flying a vehicle.

As Predicted SithLordPat acts like a 4 year old. Once again. I bet he will stand the test of time on that.

For the record I LOVE Star Wars: Battlefront. I love it! The game is like crack! Do I have the system requirements to run this game? To answer SithLordPat's question....

    Pentium 4 cput 3.00Ghz
    1.00 GB of RAM
Asus Ati 9800 xt (Video output/input, Duel monitor display)
    2x 160gig hard drives (Samsung,Western Digital)
    Sony DVD-rom
    Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2
    500watt 5.1 surrond sound system
Road Runner High speed 4mb internet connection

Can that run it? Maybe I better upgrade?

What my beef is with the game is it has way too many errors for a game that has sold so many copies. Also a few minor balancing issues.

Now don't you guys think it would be great if Hoth was more objectives based? For instance. Destroy shield generator. Thats a given. Rebels have to protect fighters on the south side of the mountain. Evacuate high ranking staff members inside echo base? One time I saw a really nice render of snow troopers slaughtering rebels inside the base. I wish I could find it again.

I'm surprised you guys aren't mad about the star destroyer model in PC Gamer. Hangers on the Side? Hello? Pictures on Page 4, middle, 3rd PC Gamer page, top left hand pic. Take a look.

Here's the interview from where i am in australia the mag is called Hyper and they have a world exclusive interview with exec.Producer Greg Borrud on Battlefront 2 for your reading pleasure.

    Question:
The Executive Producer on the first battlefront, Greg Borrud, stated that the goal was to create "the ultimate Star Wars fan's dream". Do you feel you achieved this, and if so, what's left for the sequel.

    Answer:
We still have plenty of dreams to fulfill. With Star Wars Battlefront 2, we're giving the player the opportunity to take the battle into space. We are also introducing the ability to play as a Jedi so that you can use a lightsaber, block enemy fire and use the Force powers against the enemy. The team is working hard on delivering a strong, engaging single-player experience as well.
Plus, we'll be including a bunch of new classes, vehicles and locations, many of which will be drawn from the latest movie, Star Wars: Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith.

    Question:
Tell us about the initial planning stages of Battlefront 2 - the elements you wanted to keep, the elements you wanted to refine and the new features to be included. What factors influence these decisions?
    Answer:
The team spent a lot of time reading various Battlefront forums for all three of the platforms.
Listening to what the community liked and disliked had definite influence on some of the things being done for Sta Wars Battlefront 2. The communtiy also brings up tons of additional features they'd like to see, so we've been working on addressing some of those things well.
A simple example is adding a "Sprint" ability. For Battlefront 2, people will be able to sprint for a certain amount of time. Much of this decision came from the community feedback. We also heard from our fans how much they wanted a more story-driven experience. So, although there will still be "instant Action" and a MUCH enhanced "Galactic Conquest" mode, we will provide a much stronger story-driven single player experience.
We will also incorporate clearer objectives for the player. And during the battle, we're making sure that it's the player who is making the true impact during the battle.
Also, the Battlefornt team spent a good amount of time just playing the game online with the community. How the game is played in the real world can be much different than how you could ever plan it. This has helped define some of the gameplay adjustments we'll be making for Battlefront 2 to improve the balance between classes, vehicles and factions.
We are also adding a few multiplayer modes based on community interactions, as well as adding a few cool multiplayer features and a ton more options for people hosting the game. Lastly, like any other game, there winds up being ideas that are considered for the fist game but never make it in.
Many of those ideas are going to be incoporated into Battlefront 2, but we'll talk more about those later as we solidfy the details.

    Question:
The original Battlefront took us to a host of classic Star Wars locations and put us behind the controls of a range of classic vehicles. What's in store for us in the sequel?

    Answer:
We'll be delivering even more Star Wars movie locations than before, including several new locations from the latest movie, Star Wars Episode 3 Revege of the Sith. We will also be visiting some locations from previous movies, such as the initial battle aboard Princees Leia's blockade runner from Sta Wars Episode IV A New Hope, the Tantive IV. And we've got quite few others to talk about at a later date. :)

    Question:
Can you tell us more about the space battles in Battlefront 2?

    Answer:
Space is a big addition to this sequel. You'll be able to fight amongst the stars and dogfight other starfighters. Or, you can stay onboard your capital ship and man one of its turrets, or even jump on a transport ship and fight from within. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will give you the ultimate space experience where you can be fighting out in space or within the capital ship all in the same battle.
