Got "Tears of the Nameless" and started it. I'm struggling with "The Living Force" - it's really slow going.
It is cool reading about each of the different council members and getting to know them. I'm about 1/2 way through and am like....ok we need more action. lol I think the High Republic books have spoiled me. They're always chocked full of action and/or important stuff going on.
I just got the thrawn series as my start point. For the book I would want, it would be The Black Fleet Crisis book series. Usually on AbeBooks old SW books are cheap, but the final one is around 80$
So I believe the only hardback for those is the book club compilation - the 3 books are into one book - those are pricey. I'd scour Ebay and Mercari. FYI "Trials of the Jedi" is now available to pre-order.
I really like the "Into the LIght" cover. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be Ram on the cover of "A Valiant Vow". It doesn't look like him.
Finally got around to finishing "Tears of the Nameless." Hands down, it's my fav YA book in the series. Then again I've been missing Reath so I was happy to see him featured so prominently in the book. Now I its the waiting for the last books to finish things out. I restarted "Light of the Jedi" in the meanwhile. It's so bittersweet. Everything is so light, and fluffy, and happy.
Got my copy of Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III--Saber for Hire I love Ty. Glad to see the lost political leader boys finally showing up.
Spoiler: Who are the Luminous Nine? Welp - I'm not 100% certain. I thought that I'd had the list sorted. Buckets of Blood was NOT on my list. My thoughts L>R - Dark Side Looney tunes (what's his name that's imprisoned at the temple), Elzar, Avar, Bucket of Blood, Keeve?, Porter, Burry, Ty, Bell/Reath? I'm assuming that's Bell since he's on the cover. Where is Vernestra? She knows the location of Planet X, shouldn't she be there?
I got the British paperback of The Battle of Jedha, and the thing is a beast, like the size of a regular hardcover. Good thing I care more about aesthetic than space. Here it is compared to an old Bantam paperback.
That's pretty cool. Is it just me or is "Into the Light" tiny? Why are the YA books all wonky with their sizing? I have next week off I'm hoping to get some real work done in getting my SW room reorganized again. My books are going to be the first things that I organize. Getting them all out of boxes will give me a lot more room to organize in there.
