?[face_plain] Normally when I reach a boss, my completion of the level is assured. I've found all of the bosses quite easy. It's the rest of the levels I have trouble with. :p

With this boss, I just used the same tactic as I always do. Fire at it like anything, then switch to the misiles followed by a simple lock-on and fire. Then perhaps another one before switching to blasters and mowing down the guards again.

I found that boss quite easy, beat him with one life. All I did was fly with my jet pack in circles while strafing and firing at him. I killed him with just my blasters too. Don't even bother with the guards. It'll just waste your health and time. It's pretty easy to beat.

    I NEED HELP!!!

I'm in Level 2, but I don't know where to go. I got the Jet Pack and everything, and now I'm trying to find Meko. But when I do, I end up in place I've been in and and do not know where to go. I NEED HELP!!!

Can someone give me a outline or something on what to do, and where to go. I've been trying for hours, but I get no where.

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Wise-Master: When you get the jetpack, look up. You will see the speeder Meeko stole hovering. It then leaves. Follow it. Every now and then it will hover until you catch up. You can take some shots at it but you won't get it. Eventually you do end back at the area with the steam pipes, only now you have the jetpack to get over them. If this doesn't help I can post something more detailed from the Strategy Guide later when I am at home.

i climed the steam pipes. I killed everyone. I'm up to the part where there is very large circle (large pipe, or tunnle above ground), where do I go?

In other words, where do I go after the steam pipes?

It got hammered by reviewers. (but not my most trusty source, IGN)
But I absolutely love the gameplay and story. The graphics aren't great, by I love the style, so to me they're perfect.

Wise-Master: Don't feel so bad...I spent a lot of time on this level. Luckily I got the Strategy Guide at this point and that made it easier. It looks like you have gotten the jet pack and have gotten back to the pipes successfully. I will pick this up in the steam pipe room. I will paraphrase the Strategy Guide instructions.
You want to be on top of the pipes above where you rolled under them on your first time thru. There is a ladder or you can boost up. Run to the end of the left pipe and boost across to the pipe againt the wall, turning left as you fly. Land in the middle pipe ledge and wait for the jetpack to replenish. You are aiming for the hole in the opposite wall with the continue point. You will also see Meeko's speeder heading this way. Go thru the pipe and the continue pont, go to the end, and make a right and drop onto the mesh floor below. You have been here before - it is the second sewer canal. Boost over the canal, turn right, then left and boost down the street. You are looking for a purple-lit ledge. Boost to that and continue boosting. Look for the speeder. Follow it across the upper rooftop alcove. You will be above the canal leading to the med lab where you encountered Meeko's goons at the beginning. Turn right, follow the canal and land on the walkway. Turn right, then left. Ignore the turn for the starting point and go straight ahead. Meeko's speeder turns left. Land on the bridge platform and go thru the entrance. You can't follow Meeko at this point - he is too high. Land in the canal sewer (a new area) and go to the northeast end. There is a metal pipe. Go into it and cut thru the grating. Go thru and boost up at the dead end. You end up in a room with a continue point. You might also see Meeko descending into a long flowing sewage pipe.
Editorial - at this point you might not want to be eating anything as you now get to tiptoe thru the sewage...

There are 3 long sewage waterfalls here with some goons to blast you as well. Idea here is to slide down waterfall 1 and head thru a large hole in the wall ahead of you. You come to waterfall 2 and more goons. You will also see Meeko ahead of you. You are aiming for a second access hole. Go thru and down waterfall 3 to the bottom. You will see a Mandalorian feather, but this is not the secret for this level so ignore it. Look up from the balcony. You will see two vertical waste pipes. Boost up using them to grab onto and climb up onto the upper platform. Prepare for a fight here. Kill all the enemies, enter the area where Meeko crashed, and this level is history!

Wise-Master - I bought mine at the Game store here in the UK where I bought Bounty Hunter. However, you can go
    here
on Amazon to see the book. I would think any store selling the game would stock these. The same guide is good for both the PS2 and Gamecube. In addition to the complete walkthru, there are character, weapon, alien, and ship writeups. There is also a nice poster of Jango and some of the concept art. Some of the 'inside jokes' are pointed out. There is also a complete list of the secondary bounties , dead-or-alive price, and the level found. An interview with the design team is also featured.
In all, a book well worth the money.

I just got this game the other day. I must say I'm impressed. It took me a bit to get into but after playing all night I love it. Cut scenes are nice too. Right now I'm at the third mission of the Prison. I find the game rather challenging. Of course it would be a lot easier if I wasn't bent on getting all the bounties. I mean I literly scan everyone. It wasn't so bad the first few levels but the last two have been a pain.

Im sorry, but for the next level, at the very beginning where do I go?

This will be the very last time I ask for help.

Wise-Master - don't worry about asking questions. I had plenty before I got the Strategy Guide and got some good answers here. Glad to pass on the favor.
As you stand on the walkway at the beginning, look to your right. You will see a conveyor belt with barrels and boxes. That is your destination after you despatch some bad guys (and possible bounties. Not giving everything away!). You can't fly there in one go, so make use of the generator pillar and window ledge. If you are really feeling confident of your flying, go down and explore the large pipe opening below the covered walkway to the left before going to the conveyor belt. (You will be rewarded for your efforts).
    A few hints:
Exploding barrels clear magnetic force fields at doorways quite nicely (don't get too close when shooting these!)
Boost up for height, then over to your destination. Boosting over then up doesn't work.
When you get further on in this level, the barrel pass thru magnetic sealing fields. They won't explode after this. Do not go thru one of these fields - it is quite harmful to your health.
If looking around doesn't present a solution, look up (sometimes way up).
Doorways with red lights cannot be accessed.

Hope this helps! (If it makes you feel any better, I died quite a few times in the initial chasm while getting the hang of the jetpack. And I speak from experience on those magnetic sealer fields.. )

Well, I managed to kill the dock droid yesterday and gain Slave I. It was close tho - my health was blinking red at the end (on my last continue, of course) so it was more a question of who died first - me or it. Got lucky - it died.
So I gave the Jungle level a go today. Let's just say the Nexu are well-fed after my efforts. I tried it without the Strategy Guide, as I normally do on the first few goes. So now I have a few queries that the S.G. does not answer.
    1) Both the posters in this thread and the Guide say to use the darts on the Nexu. Just how close do you have to be to do this? I did it, and I am pretty sure I hit it, but that only made it mad and I was lunch.
    2) I made it as far as the swamp where you can see the torches burning in the distance at one point. I was fighting a Nexu with the blasters (and actually winning for a change!)
when one of those mosquito things knocked me into the swamp! Good thing about being under water in the swamp: the Nexu can't see you. Bad thing: eventually you have to get up. I was dinner. Now I had only seen these things up high until now and didn't know they can be a menace. Did you guys end up taking time to kill the mosquito things? S.G. warns about them, but only in later stages in this level.

And just to show you how 'useful' the Guide can be - this is what it says about getting the first bounty: 'Sometimes the Nexu spots a Gran in the clearing ahead of you, and leaps in to attack him. You cannot allow the Nexu to tear the Gran apart, as he is your first bounty on the mission. Run in and attract the nexu'.
Say what? If it wants the Gran that bad it can have him, and I avoid being breakfast...

Yeah, the Nexus ate me for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Between evading sniper fire, the Nexus, and just plain bad guys this level is pretty tough. The thing that always gets me is that I see health and rockets and I go to get them without realizing it's a den for the Nexu and well...by the time I figure it out it's too late.

I got fooled (and eaten) the first few times that way as well, Foxbat. I got to the point
where I was asking myself how badly I wanted
the pickup. And the worst was the sniper bullet pickups - you only get so many of those at a time! Nothing worse than going up against the Nexu for a pickup and then finding you can't pick it up! But of course you don't know it's a bullet pickup til you are close enough that the Nexu sees you.
I think I might try the flamethrower against the Nexu next time, just for variety. Of course, that might just make me a barbecue lunch..

Actually, the thing that saved me most from the Nexus and those dog things on Tatooine was rolling. I always a finger on the roll button, so if one would pounce, I'd be out of there fast.

I Just stayed In the air the Moment the Nexu's would Pounce. I Rarely had any troubles with them. It was tougher saving the Gran with the Senatorial Bounty from being eaten so I could Collect My Money than it was to stop myself from being eaten.

But it Has been Known to Happen On Occasion.

I Don't Recomend trying to Bar-B-Que a Nexu anytime soon.

I did try flying and shooting the Nexu with the blasters. That worked well til the jetpack fuel ran out.
Wish I had some of that extra fuel from the Escape level..
Did any of you have mosquito problems?

My son and I are somewhat new to PS2. We can't get by the first level in Bounty Hunter. We have followed the alien dude to find Meeko, killed everyone (except the chick) and can't find anyone else on any level or area of the "mall" like setting. The objectives say all we have left to do is chase Meeko but where the hell is he!!! Please help. Thanks.

In your topic about this problem you said that you followed that one guy that you stook up. Well once he gets ambushed you can kill him for he no longer helps you.

After that part I have no idea where you are stuck as I just went where the enemies are.
On second thoght I was stuck there too, but then there is a grate that is hidden on a wall near a corner near the garbage cans. If thats not it can you give a better description of where you are.

I beat the GAMECUBE version of Bounty Hunter. I loved the game. I am now going back and getting the bounties I didn't get before. Is there a code for Invincibility? How about Infinite ammo? This would be greatly appreciated.

My son and I will try to find that grate you are talking about. We have not seen one near the garbage cans (I'm assuming your talking about the two large dumpsters). We followed all the fighting and there is no one left, we are simply running around with no action looking for a way to the next level. Thanks again!

Vader - no cheats in the Strategy Guide for Invincibility or Infinite Ammo, I'm afraid.

Ruger -welcome to the boards! Sounds like you are on level 2 (Merchant's Row), not level 1. Following the alien to the ambush starts off that level.
Have you gotten the jetpack yet? If I know that I can give you some help from the Strategy Guide. I am also new to the PS2 - I got it to try this game. I have found the Guide to be a tremendous help and well worth the price. The store where you got the game should have it, but if you look up to one of my posts on 2/20 I posted the link to see it on Amazon.com and a brief description of the book. The same Guide is good for both the PS2 and Gamecube.

On another note, I finally managed to beat the nexu and The Jungle level. I will be happy if I never see another nexu in this game. Sniping the Dugs at the end with Zam was fun tho. However, I had nightmare visions of hitting her and having to do the whole thing again..
