Yeah, it's pretty funny- especially since you don't realize it's a star wars game at first- they make it seem like one of those Socom commercials or whatever; then some game parodying those socom commercials and then bam! Jango Fett! ::)

Well the PS2 version got a rather lukewarm review from Gamers.com:
    Score of 6

Played 'til 2:30AM last night. Great game except for some quirky camera action. Looks like we'll see the origins of Slave 1 and the deal between Jango, Tyrannus, and the cloners! Can't wait to get home from work!

C'mon, more people post your opinions of the game. With the poor reviews, I'm not so sure I should buy this game.

    I love Bounty Hunter.

    It's really, really awesome.

    However, it's really hard.

Does anyone know of a walkthrough I could see so I can beat this one level?

Trying not to be biased because I'm a huge fan of Star Wars, I'd give this game 4 out of 5 stars. If you like the third person action/adventure genre (think Tomb Raider)and Star Wars characters and themes, then this game is a must buy! Actual gameplay isn't that difficult (I'm six levels into the game so far), but the levels are pretty large and complex. The challenge is finding your way around the levels. With the option of using the jetpack, you are basically free to move about each level. There are bonus objectives in the game similar to Jedi Starfighter. Each level has a non-essential amount of bounties to collect that will unlock secrets in the options menu. This should add to the replay value of the game. Get this game. I had to look at five different stores in my area before I found it.

IGN Ps2 reviewed and gave it an 8.2!!!

I was expecting less to tell you the truth. Plus the GameCube version's framerate, draw distance, and charector models are supposed to be better, so the GameCubes score should be higher.

That's awesome. Im really mad for buying The Two Towers for GBA (althought that's also great) cause now I have to wait five extra days (oh shoot) to buy this game.

IGN gave it an 8.2? That is way better than I expected it to get. Based on the other reviews i was worried it wouldn't even get a 7.

When does the gamecube version come out because nobody has the same release date. I might have to beat up my friend and take his PS2 and rent the game if its not coming out for awhile for GC.

Where are these reviews you guys are talking about? The only one I can locate is on IGN and the lame reviews on EB where people love to rate games before they even play them.
Anyway this game looks really sweet, does anyone think it's similar to SOTE? The whole 3rd person perspective reminds me of it.

Don't get so hung up on so-called "professional reviews." Rent the game and if you like it, buy it. I've found several games that received crappy magazine reviews were actually pretty good and vice versa. It's all a matter of personal taste.
The only complaint I have about about Bounty Hunter is the camera movement when you're locked on to several enemies.

ok i need some help. i'm in the third chapter in the prison. All the screen says i have left is get something fust. I went though a vent after coming down with some miner that said he acted like he was deaf. I went up that hallway and there is a room with a window that i cant get into which i am guessing has the control for fust's cell. How do i get in there?(if you get close enough to that window you can shoot through it)

Ok.. I'm having a hard time with this game. I'm not really a gamer, my PS2 usually just sits there.
Anyway, one question... is there a quick and easy way to target those characters with bounties on their heads? They are always surrounded by thugs who shoot you or chop at you with axes. By the time I get my scanner going and all that, I get shot a few times. Plus how do you shoot the other thugs and not end up killing your bounty?

A quick tap of the D-pad UP will bring up your ID scanner. A quick tap of D-pad Down will return to your previous weapon. This is by far the easiest way to look for bounties.

Another thing--generally speaking, with a few exceptions, secondary bounties are not mixed in with the rest of the hoodlums you fight. If you're looking for them, don't go flying or running into a battle. Hang back from a safe place and scan.

Oh--and as far as not killing them, equip your whipcord and tie him up and claim him, then blast the other dudes. Remember to move fast and deadly--you have armor, so you can take a few hits while you do it.

I'm stuck on the first level on Malastare. I'm stuck at the bridge that looks like it is about to collapse but it doesn't. I've killed all the enemies and looked everywhere. I can't get this one door open. Someone out there please help.
