Yeah, I saw plenty of articles about airbnb issues.

 

I think I'm going to try to attend Emerald City Comic Con in December. I've long thought about moving to Seattle, and that seems like a perfect time to go visit and be able to spend some quality time there and actually have things to do, as opposed to just wandering around aimlessly for a week. I'll catch a Seahawks game as well. And especially this year since ECCC is during a month I particularly want to check out to see if it's realistically doable to move there in the near future. ECCC usually happens in spring time, and there have always been my go-to cons around that time, so I never even considered it. But I'm really wanting to get to a big convention some time this year, and I'm thinking that might be it.

Disney travel agents work directly with Disney on your behalf. You can re-book at anytime. I have a friend who is one and have honestly thought about becoming one myself.

It's actually really nice. Let's say you book now and down the road they offer say free dining. Your agent will make sure you are getting the best deal. It's not extra or anything to work with them. They make a small commission on your trip but they will also help you book dining and your fast passes. Takes a lot of the stress out of planning a trip to Disney.

 

When I went last year, I was originalky booked at Caribbean Beach. I think my Travel Agent saw a deal where if I moved to say a different resort I soukd save money or something. I said yes and she rebooked me at Pop Century

One thing I've learned today is travel agents still exist post 1990s.

 

I have used an actual Disney travel agent for a Disney trip (she sent me a Disney gift card as a thank you so free money for me!) but never for any other trip. I’m thinking of reaching out to her so the second the Galactic Starcruiser goes up for sale, she books my trip

At this rate I’m more broke than anything else But I convinced the hubby it’s worth the cost so I’ve got to go full speed ahead now

 

I'm trying to convince Jane that if Celebration ever goes back to Orlando then we should do SWC and Starcruiser together and not do Disney but it's proving a VERY hard sell.

I just have a gut feeling that doing Starcruiser as part of a Disney trip would be too expensive for us but SWC and Starcruiser might be manageable.

 

I’m thinking the same thing just estimating costs for the week plus Starcruiser. We have the Disney Rewards CC and I’ve told my husband we have to put EVERYTHING on it to get as much money for the trip back as possible.
It takes a while but we already got $500 and we won’t be going until Thanksgiving 2022 so

 

I'll probably fly down for a weekend and do Starcruiser next year, my wife is already buzzing with excitement to do it. I told my buddy that I want in when tickets go on sale. I too have the Disney Rewards card and it has quite the balance of rewards on it. It's the only credit card I have. I use it to pay all of my bills and then immediately pay the balance off. I've racked up a lot of rewards over the last 4 years.

 

I could see them running a contest or something if and when Celebration is held in Orlando again. Licky winners get to spend a few days before, or after celebration experiencing it

I will be going to Starcruiser also when they open sometime in 2022. I'm not sure if I will leave the Starcruiser to go to parks or anyplace else during my stay though

 

I read that they plan out your activities like on a cruise ship and there is a time that they take you “to the planet to explore”. It sounds super fun and we can’t wait to do it.

It is. Rumor is it could be after hours so it’s only Starcruiser guests.

We used our card balance when we went in 2019 and we did nothing in 2020 but I’m trying to pay everything this time around with it.
