I mean, did he knew he was going to die or that he was going to live live, but not see certain individuals again…? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
With Dark Droids now wrapped up, does anybody have a recommended reading order? I've been waiting to read them until they've all released. I know there was continuity confusion between a few issues, so what do you all suggest?
Marvel generally put out reading lists for their events. If they didn't then one of the main comic sites did. Probably your best bet as you can then adapt them to whatever books you are or are not reading
Spoiler: Issue #5 Scourge getting a happy ending was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. And Trip gave a heroic speech, well, almost. Overall I quite liked this story. Maybe it would've worked better in another time period and not as crossover (even though in each four main series plot did not stagnate because of this event, but instead advanced), but still the core conflict of Scourge and Ajax was solid. IMO, it is good for SW to have more stories with one of the parties to the conflict having a Blue-and-Orange Morality, even better - when both.
Sadly Marvel did kind of make a mess of the reading order right at the end, but I think the updated order shown in D-Squad #4 takes that into account and is probably still the best way to go. I haven't actually read anything beyond D-Squad #4 yet so someone correct me if this veers off-course near the end. DD (Dark Droids) #1 SW (Star Wars) #37 DV (Darth Vader) #37 DA (Doctor Aphra) #35 BH (Bounty Hunters) #37 SW #38 DD #2 DV #38 BH #38 DS (D-Squad) #1 DA #36 BH #39 DV #39 DD #3 SW #39 DS #2 DA #37 SW #40 DV #40 DD #4 DA #38 BH #40 DS #3 DS #4 DD #5 SW #41 BH #41 DV #41 DA #39 I'm looking forward to re-reading the story in full once I have the final issues. This one was a banger.
Was it ever made clear Spoiler what the origin of the Scourge was? I mean, I know it is a mixture of the spark eternal and some probe droid thingy that came out of the fermata cage, but specifically what was the origin of the second part and why was it capable of merging with the spark like that?
Spoiler The second one is an ancient droid that tried to spread itself into other droids and organics before, although unsuccessfully, and eventually was imprisoned by the Sith.
It can be an interesting narrative to be expored that Spoiler: High Republic while the Jedi protected the Republic's stability, the Sith did the same for "another side", by liquidating chaotic threats like Drengir and Scourge.
Intresting storyline but i was pretty mutch over it and thank god, lol. I liked the priest droid and a team of droids.
I'm going with your list for now, but I'll start reading it in a few days and try to remember to correct it if there's anything that needs to be changed. Thank you!
I wonder why they forgot to use Dr. Evazan or the Decraniated in Dark Droids... the event was crap as is but the themes would be logical only to pick up Evazan who specialised in creating the Decraniated, the mix between body and doidmind the dark droids were craving all series over. pretty lame to exclude that easy solution.
