TV Discussion Star Wars Detours

Guys it can't be worse the the Christmas special right so I think that's reason enough to watch it.

 

Whatever you have to realize people will watch this.

Wow, I can't believe this thing's been on the shelf for over two years. That predates the Disney sale and everything. It's like a whole 'nother lifetime ago.

I remember cringing through most of the trailer, but I am glad this might actually see the light of day. I'm sure everyone worked really hard on it, and it would be a shame if it were all for nothing.

 

Also this is one of the last GL green lighted project we will ever see for TV.

 

On the highly unlikely off chance this show is actually popular I wonder if Disney will make more episodes of detours because technically detours is in the same boat as TCW- cancelled with several planned episodes unmade

 

Who knows right.

 

One thing that confuses me about detours. They say they made thirty something episodes and have sixty something scripts. So does that mean they planned to have sixty episodes in total including finished episodes or ninety

 

I think it meant 60 episodes but who knows.

 

Well less is probably best in Detours' case

 

Another good thing about Detours we get to see Cad Bane again.

I wonder why they choose to make everyone tiny.

 

As some of us may remember before Disney bought Lucasfilm a comedy show known as Detours was about to be released. Since then it's been postponed for TFA to be released so as not to corrupt children's first entry in star wars.

Now TFA has been released and star wars mania is at an all time high, shouldn't detours be allowed to be brought off the shelf? Or is Disney hoping we've forgotten about that (almost cringeworthy) trailer by now?

 

Detours wasn't even that funny, from the clips I saw. IMHO, it was quite insulting and almost openly mocking the franchise.

 

It seems no worse than the lego specials, so I don't know why they're holding it back.

 

I actually liked what I saw, maybe they're worried it would out perform their TV & movie franchise?!

I'd put them out because it's just money wasting on the Shelf and there is nothing to lose in putting it on Netflix or what not.
