A story exist in this game but in broad strokes. They woundt release this teaser for the game without showing us what the story might be. Trade Federation, alien forces, cooperate war, jedi facing a new enemy.
Yeeeeeeeeah i ...I kinda doubt that when it comes to this game....and this company...and the person in charge.
Why outside of your dislike from the man in charge. The game seems promising and most who works in the Company seems like they want to make good game.
Yeah it also seems that this game is in trouble and that the company making it is very mismanaged. So i don't think this game is as developed outside a cool cinematic trailer and that's about it. EXACTLY!
The trailer is gorgeous and lovely, but this project seems like a mess from top to bottom. Good thing is, I do enjoy watching terrible people crash and burn.
Given QD’s focus on story-driven titles, I would suspect that, at the very least, an outline for the game’s script exists, with examples of some key scene branching options fully plotted out. I can’t see them getting the project rights without at least that to pitch with.
My sister used to work for the animation studio Blur for many years, and they'd occasionally hear about Star Wars projects that were in the works during meetings. Almost every one never made it past the initial plan stage. But every one had a very preliminary plot, including characters and names sometimes. So if this one got to the trailer stage, I'd say they had an outline at that point.
Not shedding any tears over this, but I would like to learn whatever the details behind the trailer were so it's not just pretty images. I'm really, really impatient to get some actual audio-visual High Republic stuff.
The English major in me majorly cringed at that title. Developer Quantic Dream has refuted rumors of a Star Wars: Eclipse delay, saying that a game without a release date can't have been delayed instead Developer Quantic Dream has refuted rumors of a Star Wars: Eclipse delay, stating that a game without a release date can't be delayed...
Best case scenario in this situation is they get purchased, David Cage gets a lofty check easing him into retiring from the studio, PR crisis surrounding Eclipse resolves itself.
If this were to happen, I'd really hope that it would be more than resolving the PR side of things; same as with the Microsoft acquisition of Activision. The gaming industry has a massive harassment problem, and while having leading harassers leave is good, we mustn't forget that there is a far larger issue in the general corporate culture with what is treated as acceptable behavior.
