Not a believer either, but the artwork shows a "light" Ben quite convincing, someone who knew he was wrong and feels the pain of what he has done himself.

 

Yeah, I'm not a fan of either of those ideas, but both those pieces of art are great, particularly the dark Rey.

 

I'm working on a big illustration project, but one of the elements of it came out well so I worked it into a standalone piece until I finish the big one;



(I'm aware the light on the neck looks wrong - I merged layers without realising so I can't undo it. The final piece will have that sorted though)

Yeah, there is. And if a someone made an animation, a short film, a drama, an abstract piece using Star Wars imagery etc, I'd agree that this is the place for it. But importing leaked photos into a movie editor and importing a John Williams piece over it isn't really artistic - not to disparage it; it's a video that functions as a method of delivering leaked pics. There isn't really any creativity attempted (again, there doesn't have to be so its not a criticism) so this would be better served by being posted in a leaked pics thread.

Edit: but, y'know, it's not a biggie or anything. It's just that it can't really be judged or viewed as a piece of fan made creative content because there isn't really anything about it that seems to have been made with the intent of creating something to be viewed as art.

Think it's a stylised Han and Leia with Ben. Ito quite a nice composition, but yeah, for me the likenesses aren't there, perhaps by design.

 

that's one of the snobbiest things i've ever heard.

art is art whether you think think so or not. pictures put together in certain orders, with certain effects, choice of music, editing, etc is an act of artistic creation. don't ever tell me what i do isn't "an attempt at creativity" thank you very much.

i guess i'll just stick to the "less artistic" threads from now on.

 

I'm far from an art snob, and I wasn't intending to be disparaging about your video - if you see it as art and put something of yourself into it, fine.

My point was that as a video it seemed to simply be a means of showing leaked pics, rather than an attempt at something creative; the leaked pics seemed to be the point of the video, not the creative quality of the video itself. Looks like I misunderstood though, and it is a piece of creative work, so my apologies. The editing on it works, and John Williams' music is always a good choice.
