I bought a wired xbox 360 controller to use for my pc star wars galaxies game. However, when I try to configure the joystick it would not take it. Then I tried the dpad and it took them all directions as one... ie. I move forward no matter what direction I push.. left= forward, right= forward, ect... Does anyone know how to configure this or am I just outta luck?

You might try the Galaxies forums. But don't get your hopes up -- the driving force behind the NGE was for Sony to dumb down SWG so it could be ported to console systems. But the code was so messy that they pretty much deemed it impossible to work with console hardware. They won't even try making improvements to the UI for PC users anymore because it's such a mess. LOL.

My guess would be that you're out of luck. [face_plain] But if there's a way for the pad to emulate hard key strokes, it might work. Maybe.

Trying to configure a controller for a game that doesn't directly support it sucks. Days upon days of trial and error, looking up stuff, workarounds, etc.

Get yourself a wireless keyboard/mouse and a sheet of plywood to set it on if you want to lounge back while playing Galaxies. :)
