Fun Fact: Galaxy's Edge is the son of U2's The Edge.

 

So anyone wonder if they will have some plot points in rise of resistance that could set up for The Rise of Skywalker

 

Why is there a SW:GE discussion here? Why not in the Community forum or in it's separate forum?

 

There isn't a place to post anywhere on the board.. The planet of Batuu has something to do with the Star Wars Sequel trilogy movies.
The attraction itself takes place during or after the events of the Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker..

Disneyland wants you to get reservations for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge,Only if you stay in their hotels.

we are going to Disneyland in July. Can't wait to visit Galaxy's Edge.

 

I'm going to Hollywood Studios in September. Staying on site, and happy to see that they day chosen to visit Galaxy's Edge has magic hours!

Walt Disney World is building a Star Wars hotel in two years. It supposed connected to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge,So you won't have to take a bus trip to Hollywood Studios.

Was planning on going to Florida in 2021, but with Celebration in Anaheim next year I guess I'll be visiting Batuu a year early. Can't wait!

 

My first visit to Galaxy's Edge will be in January 2020.
I hope the wait time for the two attractions will slow down in the winter.

On May 2nd ,Disneyland will be accepting reservations for visiting Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.

 

I've only ever been to Disney World, since I live in Florida, but I'd love to visit Disneyland one day. I'd be curious to see comparisons of the two Galaxy's Edge areas.

 

so this theme park is totes canon and I think I read somewhere on here that it's actually set in between Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. I don't know if that means you have to visit it before RoS opens because the real piece of canon-ness I'd think would be pertinent to RoS would be the Rise of the Resistance ride but it's not going to be ready by park opening time so will it be an incomplete piece of canon before RoS opens or will the Rise of the Resistance ride be running before Ep 9 hits?

 

I think I read somewhere (the Disney Parks blog?) that Rise of the Resistance would open at some point during the fall in Disney World, but earlier at Disneyland. So, hopefully, it opens at both parks before Rise of Skywalker, but it should be open at Disneyland at least.

As of 20 minutes ago, general admissions to Galaxy's Edge from May 31st to June 23rd are all gone. Only ones still available are with a Disneyland Hotel booking.

 

The Disneyland Hotel is too pricey for me to stay in. I bet it will be the same for WDW hotels for the month of August.

 

^ Are they just going to play that on a loop at the entrance 15 hours a day? Epic! But could get weird if you're in line by a loudspeaker for hours as well.

 

Sounds more like a generic Spielbergian score than Star Wars. I love Williams to death, but this comes across to me as recycle mode.
